I know I smile more times a day simply by the things my dog and cat do -- than I would without them. They do put a song in my heart and a smile on my face!
I spent sometime with something else that put a smile on my face today:

Hi Bonnie. I so enjoy quit cam time. Your video is looking a bit choppy today. I only point that out because in the past it got worse and worse, and it ended up being something you had to adjust. Thanks for doing this. Also I am really appreciating the technohelp you have been giving us. If you ever get tired of doing quilt workshops (perish the thought!), you can give technology workshops! lol!

Here's another question regarding Easy Street -- are we finished with the black and white fabrics or do we need to use more?
For some reason I don't need an enabler-I do great by myself! Just got a package from Quilting by the Bay-It was my Black Friday and Cyber Monday "Merry Christmas to me" package! I now have some cheddar fabric-they were at a decent price!
Nothing like keeping the suspense going and writing the clues at the last minute! At least you can honestly say you aren't keeping secrets! Love it!

It is like a sickness really.....now I've brung (brought) home a "Dressmaker" according to paperwork was partly funded by a check for the 2nd place in a contest. I guess early 1970's - with cams and a lovely mint green paint job. Joins the glossy black ANKOR which I can find very little about.

Are you concerned about those blocks you're working on being the same as the ones you pieced on another machine? I thought you were supposed to stick with a machine that you started to piece a quilt with untl all the piecing was done to avoid any issues. Or did I just dream I heard that? LOL

Hi Bonnie: Jane here from far eastern Washington State (almost Idaho). I am still at work, but your quilt cam is helping me finish some correspondence I need to get done before heading home.
Anyone else having a problem viewing tonight? Bonnie, your voice is not in sync with what you are doing. Could you maybe try rebooting. I know that usually fixes the problem. Thank you.

I love all the ideas for your machine. I had my Featherweight done in raspberry metallic and STILL have not come up with a name for her!
I tried te Harbor freight blades too.they seem slightly duller than a new blade. I'd rather pay the price for a razor sharp blade. They seemed to be Changing the Matt will make a world of difference with your cutter. If you run your hand across the top and it feels slightly rough then you will know. I work in a quilt shop and we try not to cut on the same 1/2 yard mark. We wind up changing mats 2 times a year. also use the back of the matt.

Hi Bonnie! It's Jen from Woodstock IL. I am loving quilt cam. I learn something new every time. (ruffling points to tension issues). I've finished part 1 of Easy Street and I'm looking forward to Friday for Part 2. It's my first mystery and given how stunning the quilt were the past few years, I'm pumped! I'm now working on a baby quilt with an owl and forest theme for a very dear friend. It's always great to sew for someone who knows what goes into a handmade gift. Thanks for all the inspiration!

That machine looks a lot like my mother old Singer that I learned to sew on. Mom's wasn't so fancy. Is the zigzag stitch BO ? That always made me smile.

I have my mother's Singer slantomatic. It is in a beautiful sewing cabinet. In fact I learned to sew on it. I believe she bought in 1959 or 1960. I don't use it and I guess I should. I do like it though. I will be 69 soon. So that is how long ago that learned to sew.

you were mentioning a few minutes ago about the rulers and you mentioned needing/using them for the Easy Street mystery (which I am working on right now)... when you get to the segment of the mystery that uses the rulers are you going to explain in the directions how to use the rulers?

Hi Bonnie, hello from hot, hot Melbourne. A cool change is due tomorrow, so not too bad. Are you cutting the blocks for Easy Street using your Acuquilt or are you rotary cutting them? I've just trawled back through some of your blog and have seen that your used your Acuquilt for (I think) Orca Bay. I'm loving the new machine. She sounds like a dream. I've just received my new (old) feet & carry case handle for my fw case, but I don't know how to change it over. Something to work out. Thank you for sharing your time with us. I guess I'm not supposed to watch quiltcam. I've never been able to get a 'good' connection. Voice and picture are not in sync and I continue to get a delay. I really enjoy what pieces I get but it sure is frustrating. Updated adobe tonight but still having problems. I'm ready for step 2 on Easy Street.

Hi there Bonnie. Our Quilt Guild has our 2nd Quilt show in March of 2012. Quilts are not judged just shown. We have many in our Guild that have won awards for their quilting and for their quilts. The pleasure of viewing these mixed in with all the beautiful quilts is just great! People that don't quilt love all of them and are in awe of each and every one!

I love texture too and recently completed a scrappy king sized flannel quilt for my son from deboned shirts and remnants. I also included an old favorite denim shirt of his in the mix. It is bear's paw on the front and a pattern of squares on the back.
I know from reading your blog that you like to have hand work with you when you travel. Do you by chance do any hand applique?

Bonnie, when you use your Studio cutter to sub-cut, as I am planning to use my Go cutter to sub-cut these Easy Street strip sets, do you find it is better to do the sub-cutting before pressing open or after?

Hi from Georgia Bonnie, do you find you have any problems keeping the bottom of your iron clean when working with starch? What do you use to clean it? Really enjoying quilt cam. Am handstitching a binding on my daughter's birthday / Christmas present (12 Days of Christmas kit). Last year she picked fabrics out of this line and I made stockings + a tablerunner, she doesn't know about the quilt.
AND I have a new SEWING MACHINE, a Singer 401a. Brings back lots of memories are my Mom taught me to sew on this machine -- and I may name her Charlotte in honor of her. So now I have a featherweight given to me by HER mom and now this one .. so excited !

My son is sick today so I am home from work sewing crazy patch Christmas stockings for my grand daughters Cooper and Ava. it is very hot here, but luckily I'm in air-conditioning sewing.
