There is a great place to get lunch on Duke of Gloucester Street.(DOG street as the locals say) It's not far from where you sat with Thomas yesterday. It's called the Cheese Shoppe and is across the street from the toymaker, next door to the Wythe Candy Shop. (another great place by the way!) You can get great sandwiches with a wonderful secret recipe house herb dressing at the back of the cheese shoppe or get a hunk of cheese and a fresh roll, or some couscous up front. Don't be put off if the line is long for sandwiches. It goes pretty fast. I can personally recommend the brownies for dessert as well. There is another great place for lunch or dinner across from the Cheese Shoppe, called the Trellis. You should also ask at the inn for directions to the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum. They have a great display of antique quilts there. In fact, maybe someone at the museum or the inn can hook you up with a Colonial Williamsburg Conservator for a behind the scenes look at colonial textile preservation. Anyway, welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay in our area.

That is impressive. This stuff flies on the plane? Wow is all I can say. I KNOW why you need all the books..ha.My mail delivery guy just shakes his head every day when I'm out looking for him. He knows I am looking for a book to arrive...String Fling. Sigh! Again not today. Eagerly awaiting and thanks for going to all this trouble for quilters who REALLY appreciate your abilities. THANKS!
Maybe it travels in Shamu but then no room for YOU.Don't know. But it's impressive.

Oh, yeah, have had my hand in many a church function...starts before the tables go up and ends after the tables go back in the storage area. Bless your little pea-pickin' heart, Bonnie. We all love you for you, but really love what you put up with to "serve" us. Thanks again.

Having helped both set up and take down the annual National Quilting Association show for several years, I do know what goes into just setting up even one of the classrooms. It takes a ton of stuff and even more people. You are all to be commended for just the behind the scenes and then to go on and teach, etc. is an amazing feat! Wish I were there to enjoy it!

I have some idea as to what it takes. But, it's worth every minute.

my sister and I are in Williamsburg this week also! We also were in Colonial Williamsburg the same day you were. The suggestions from your other fans, like Gwen, are appreciated. We will be checking the museum out. I loved the old district where you are sitting on the bench. beautiful! we too are leaving friday or saturday. (sister is taking a class at William and Mary; I'm just enjoying the city during the day.
where do we find info on your classes?
