This morning I sew!!
This afternoon--massage and girl time out at Bedford Springs Spa!
((Yes, George Washington slept there too!! Lol!!))
My little white featherweight, Bea is a good companion. She's humming Ali g just fine and dandy!!
I think she knows she's played second fiddle to the late, great Magenta---but she gives her all regardless!

Bea may not be flashy but she's a good friend! Glad you're back to sewing... I see you're working on your cheddar bow ties...
Have fun today!
I so would love to find me a little friend like that!!! ♥
So clean and pretty looking! Tell us a little about her when you have a chance.
So I guess you are saying George was an guy who slept around, wonder how Martha felt about it....
So glad she is travelling with you. Do you have the name of the guy that restored the magenta? I'd be calling him and having him keep an eye out for another FW that he can restore as well and paint that beautiful magenta.
Hi Bonnie & Bea....
How wonderful that you have a backup FW!! I bet Bea has just been waiting for a chance to show you what she can do!! What are you using for a seam guide?
Aunt Bea was always realiable :o) and just think, she's from North Carolina
Now you need to get a white IKEA light to match Bea like your pink light matched the sadly abused featherweight.
I finally bought my first Singer Featherweight 221. Do you have any hints on up keep. What I should or should not do.
Tks
P.S. I love following your travels. Hope to one day take one of your classes in southern California.

I too would like to see some comments on the types of featherweights.... Thanks
I'm interested as well. I just scored my first Featherweight, too!
I purchased my FW a month ago and love it. I to would like some hints for the upkeep and any other suggestions you may have. Bev Ontario
Oh I have a Bea too in my herd- Beatrice means "she who brings happiness".
I am so glad to see you featherweight fondling again and having fun with your sewing once more. Nothing is more gut wrenching than to see a beautiful machine trashed and it must take some doing to put those thoughts aside as you sew on a different featherweight.
I have a black 222K off at the health spa for service and a good going over, gifted from my husband's family for a significant birthday, but gifted early when it was found. I feel so spoilt, as what more indulgence is there than a working antique or vintage sewing machine?
Bea has something to prove, you know.
You've got to find a good "Singer man" to tune up and maintain your machine. A good mechanic is worth his or her weight in gold.
Bea sure is pretty. :)
