I'm still downloading software to the new laptop.
My photo shop is of course at home and I'm trying different options----straight from the camera photos are 44" wide and that is too huge for uploading. And often pics need to be cropped or the lighting fixed.
Since that is taking time--here are some shots from last evening's dinner and walk!

I use GIMP for photo editing...it's an open source program, so you can download it for free. Might be a solution for you.
love the smiling faces and all that green!
Try Picassa.
Irfranview is a nice little program too for editing photos and switching formats. It isn't quite as sophistocated as Gimp.
Oops, I meant to give you the link too...

I love irfanview also. Free, small footprint, simple to use. Been using it for years. Very straight forward and no learning curve.

You might want to consider pixlr.com while you're on the go. Works in the cloud, so nothing to download, really simple interface, and does crop, resize, all kinds of adjustments, and some special effects. I use Photoshop for my graphic design, but for blog photos, pixlr is a good tool to have.
Bonnie, your "making-do" posts are reminding me that we can get along with so little, but we have grown accustomed to working with our "regular stuff". Like "I had to do the dishes by hand tonight, the dishwasher is on the fritz." Man, where would we be if we were still quilting by candle light!!! hahaha
Enjoy your stay.

Looks like a wild and crazy bunch of quilters. I hope Sisters is ready for you!
You may be able to right click to change your photo size. Just a thought
Picasa is a really easy to use FREE photo program from google. It works well. You might want to try it until you can get back to your photoshop.
I recommend Irfanview too. Have used it for years.
i have been using picmonkey.com designed by some of the same designers of that other program I used, the name of which eludes me right now LOL
