And soft pastel deliciousness like this one!
I just LOVED the large chunky cornerstones in this pink/white version and that is what inspired me to play with this setting.
Because I work with scraps, it is ALWAYS difficult for me to tell you how many yards of this-or-that you might need, because I just dig. And I cut. And I sew, and if I run out of something, I grab another piece. Often times yardage is hard to calculate because I might only use a 2 1/2” square of something…and just ONE of that is in my quilt, and to tell you to buy yardage for one 2 1/2” square is just silly. SO….work with what you have, if you run short, buy some more!
If you have approximately 2 yards of neutrals, 2 yards of scrappy colors, and 2 yards (8 FQs) of yellows, you should be good to go!

Kiss In The Corner!
Block size: 4.5"
Quilt size: Approx. 60" X 67"
Shoo Fly Blocks! What is not to like about them?
This quilt starts with bonus half square triangles! You know, the kind you get when you are doing that snowball-techique where you put a smaller square in the corner of a larger square and sew on the diagonal? I save those, double sewing them with a scant 3/8” seam between the two seam lines and square them to the best measurement I can get out of them, always aiming for something that gives me a usable measurement to work with. I have BOXES that have been square-able to 2” and that is what I used here!
You will need 288 half square triangles that measure 2”, and they will finish into the quilt at 1-1/2”. They are the same size as the triangles in Roll Roll Cotton Boll! If you don’t have a stash of half square triangles of this size, you can use your Easy Angle Ruler and 2” strips to make them:
Match the strips with right sides together, and use the 2” marking on the ruler to cut 288 matched pairs. Stitch up into 288 half square triangle units. Feel free to use ANY method that will give you the number of half square triangles required!
Next Step! Sew a bunch of 2” scrap fabrics ((Mine are all recycled from clothing!)) between two 2” strips of chrome yellow. Press seams toward the yellow. We will be cutting “three-sie” units from these, as if we were sewing 9 patches:
Slice the strip panels into 2” sub-sections. You will need 72 of these three-sies! And while you are at it, cut 144 2” yellow squares to go with them!
Add a triangle unit to the end of each yellow square as shown! Press seams toward the yellow! Make 144.
Combine the triangle units and the three-sie units to make 72 adorable Shoo-Fly blocks as shown! These should measure 5” and finish at 4.5” when sewn into the quilt.
Pieced Sashings:
It’s the pieced sashings that add those cute wonky friendship star units to the quilt layout!
Piece a bunch more strip sets from 2” strips, with colors in the center, flanked by two neutral strips on either side. You need 168 2" sub-cuts for the sashings. Press seams toward the neutral strips.
I really loved using these fabrics together! Using recycled fabrics along with the regular quilt stash just adds such a softness, giving you an instantly vintage looking quilt!
Let’s put the “Kiss” in the “Corner!”
For this step I grabbed my trusty box of 1.5” scrap squares. This is the smallest size of scrap that I cut to any specific size, and I use these quite a bit! If you are cutting from 1.5” strips, or cutting individual 1.5” squares, you will need TWO squares for each sashing, or 336 1.5” squares.
I started out just pulling the recycled fabric ones, but as I went I found that there were other colors and fabrics that I wanted to throw in to make these little stars sing.
What I really LIKE about using these small squares, is that we won’t have any corners to match when we sew the quilt together. They will float a bit, surrounding the star within the neutral areas!
Start by laying a 1.5” square in the upper right corner of the three-sie unit as shown. Stitch across the red square, from corner to corner on the diagonal. Fold the red square back against the corner to check that it matches the edges of the neutral square. Trim excess approximately 1/4” beyond the stitching and press. Repeat for the opposite corner at the bottom left of the unit.
Make 168 pieced sashing units. *Note* all of your units must be identical to each other in placement of the two corner triangle “Kisses”!
Setting Triangles & Cornerstones:
From yellow prints cut:
Cut (59) 2” squares of various yellows for cornerstones.
(6) 7 5/8” Squares. Cut each square from corner to corner twice with an X to yield 24 setting triangles. 22 will be used in the quilt, 2 will be extra.
(2) 4 1/8” Squares. Cut each square from corner to corner once to yield 4 corner triangles.
(7) 3 1/4” Squares. Cut each square from corner to corner twice with an X to yield 28 small setting triangles. 26 will be used in the quilt, 2 will be extra.
*Note* If you have the companion angle ruler, these small setting triangles, which go on the end of the sashing rows at the edges of the quilt, can be cut from 1.5” strips as shown:
I like using my specialty rulers when I can!
Layout:
This part becomes a design wall/floor process! I want to make sure that the colors fall where I want them to, so I lay out the WHOLE QUILT so I can rearrange blocks and sashings as needed:
Lay out the Shoofly blocks, leaving room for the sashings and cornerstones in between. Layout the yellow cornerstones where the triangles in the sashing meet to form the friendship star design. Finally, place the setting triangles, Large and small where they go, and then the corners.
Diagonal quilts are sewn in rows, starting in one corner, and working toward the center of the quilt with each row increasing in length. Stitch the quilt center into rows, and join the rows to complete quilt center. I like to piece the top in two halves, and then join the two halves together. This helps distribute much of the bulk as the quilt halves grow! Press well.
Using a large ruler with a good 1/4” marking, trim up the edges of the quilt with the edge falling 1/4” past all block corners. This helps get rid of dog ears, etc. Stay stitch around the edge of quilt if desired, about 1/8” from the edge.
Borders:
Inner border:
From random 1.5” wide red strips—Join lengths together on the diagonal to reach a border length of approximately 260” Trim excess 1/4” beyond the stitching and press seams open.
Outer Border:
From random 3.5” wide blue strips and rectangles –join lengths together on the “straight” by butting the ends and stitching to reach a border length of approximately 260”. Press seams open.
Stitch narrow red inner border to outer blue border with right sides together. Press seam toward the red inner border.
Lay the quilt center out on the floor, smoothing it gently. Do not tug or pull. Measure the quilt through the center from top to bottom. Cut two side borders this length. Measure the quilt from side to side across the center. Cut two side borders this length.
Stitch side borders to quilt, pinning center and ends and easing where necessary to fit. Press seams toward inner border.
Cut (4) 4.5” Squares from blue for border corners. Add a border corner square to each end of both top and bottom borders. Press seam toward the borders. Attach top and bottom borders to quilt, pinning to match centers and ends and easing where necessary to fit. Press seams toward inner border.
QUILTING!!
I quilted Kiss in The Corner with an edge to edge design by Hermione Agee of Lorien Quilting called Country Garden! I love the leaves and swirls and circles in this design! I used a sandy tan colored thread, and bound the quilt with lengths of 2.5” blue strips joined on the diagonal. That red fabric with the circles? It was a pair of capris! The blue corner square was one of my own blouses. Loved that print!
This light blue fabric was also a blouse of mine…next to it the dark blue paisley? That was one of those jumpers I had years ago…the ones that made us all look like school teachers? LOL! And next to it..that red leafy paisley? Another pair of capris! I’ve loved working with these recycled bits, every one!
Is there such a thing as too much yellow? I don’t think so!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 444 Newer› Newest»Completed favorite, well to be honest there are two - a fall/dark colors Turning Twenty and a guilt with a panda black/white theme....I cut 10" squares of a panda print and alternated them with a block I found on a blog a few years back that had a center square surrounded log-cabin style with a black and white border that had been stitched together in a wavy pattern/freestyle ala Ricky Tims with a final 6" black border around the whole thing.
Aztech Jewel. Made from the block of the same name, but with a wild setting and lots of space for detailed quilting. Made with my Aunt. We no longer remember who designed which blocks... only bad thing, it's still in my "marinate" pile waiting to be quilted. Must get to that!
Great quilt Bonnie. This just may be the one where I need to cut into those shirts and it looks like a pattern for leaders and enders. Thank.
bcquilter73@yahoo.com
My favorite is the Turning Twenty (x2)I made for my parents' 40th anniversary. My sisters and I collected novelty fabrics to represent places, people, food, pets, and other memories of their 40 years together. I even had the oldest 2 grandchildren take a turn at quilting it on the longarm quilting machine. It was a lot of fun to make and still gets a lot of comments when people see it at their house.
I have made so many quilts that I have lost count a long time ago, but my favorite hands down was your pattern for the Smokey Mountain Stars! I made that one for my Step dad and he, along with everyone else, just loved it so much! You rock! :)
I am a new quilter, so haven't made many quilts. My favorite is from a quilt block exchange that I just finished before Christmas. I have it hanging over my stairs and it makes me smile! Thanks for a chance to win your book!
Bonnie, I can't thank you enough for your generosity. I love all your quilts and have done every mystery. I plan to take Kiss in the Corner when I retreat next month. Yeh!
I was learning to quilt and made a sampler quilt. It was so much fun learning how to make all the different blocks.
I do save shirts and plan to use them in quilts, love this free pattern, and I would make one using blues and yellows.
I absolutely want one of your books, I have a large stash and you are the one to come to for ideas. Thanks.
I love the tips you gave in your new book, I have used a lot of the tips you have shared on your website to get my stashed organized and it's a big help. I did the Carolina Christmas last year and the Roll Roll Cotton Boll this year I am loving it! Thank you so much for all you do for us.
Thanks for all the ideas on how to use up the scraps that have been piling up around here!!
Love your Pineapple Blossom. I have made two. When I can't figure out how to use yet more of the same scraps, I can envision a mountain of scraps in a Pineapple Blossom quilt and get the scraps used yet again, and the quilting results are beautiful. Thanks for the thoughtfulness of all your patterns. Kiss in the Corner is lovely.
I'm trying to find a place locally to get used clothing by the pound, but I'm a little afraid once I find such a place I won't be able to stop myself and all of my grocery money will be spent on recycled clothing!
My favorite quilt was the photo-transfer crazy quilt I made for my daughter and her husband. Lots of scraps around family photos.
Bonnie,
I'm going to try this AGAIN. Love the little churn dashes. That is one of my favorite blocks. This will be on my "to do" list.
Looking forward to meeting you in Lincoln, NE, on Monday. We will have SNOW waiting for you when you get here.
Rosie W
Hi Bonnie! I came over from Stash Manicure, where I really enjoyed your post. Thank you so much for the free pattern...I'm a new quilter and am looking for all the help and inspiration I can find!
I've only made one quilt so far - a simple four patch design in a baby quilt size, so I guess I'd have to say that so far, that's my favorite! LOL!
I'd love to have a copy of your book....thank you so much for the give away and the chance to win!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Yellow is a colour I used to hate, now I actually like it. Loved the other two books and thank you for the entry for your latest and greatest,
Wow, Beautiful Quilt. I love the little scrappy shoe fly blocks. Thanks for another great quilt pattern.
Bonnie, You are such an inspiration! Thank you for encouraging us to create beauty in our lives!
Oh wow! I will be diving into the scrap boxes today and shopping for yellows! I love this quilt! The perfect sofa size, too:) I love all of your quilts, and get great enjoyment making any of your patterns! I guess my favorite is the Carolina Christmas, but everyone loves the scrappy Trip Around the World quilt I made last year! Kudos and Thanks!
My favorite quilt is always the one I am working on at the moment. RRCB & Crabapples as my leader/ender. I can't wait to do this pattern too! So little time!
Don't know where you find the time/energy for all you do! Amazing. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Now I have another quilt on my "some day" list!Favorite quilt so far is Orange Crush. It may be replaced as favorite by Roll, Roll Cotton Boll when it is done. We'll see! Thanks again Bonnie!
My favorite at the moment is one I'm making from your last book - can't think of the name but it's red and tan nine-patches alternated with yellow squares. I've been having fun making the leader and ender nine-patches! It's very relaxing to make them - just easy piecing. Sometimes a girl needs easy piecing!
When my daughter was two she decided "lellow" was her favorite color (and it still is at 19.) Ever since she was little I've collected "lellows" and will have such fun with this design! Thanks for the inspiration. I love your work and how generously you share it with us!
My favorite quilt that I have completed is a scrappy lap quilt called "Mosaics." My favorite UFO, hopefully to be finished soon, is "Jambalaya."
Thanks for the "Kiss in the Corner" pattern it looks like a fun way to dive into the scrap pile.
Thank you so much for this pattern Bonnie. It is gorgeous - you're right there is no such thing as too much yellow - or any other color.
Bonnie, I would love to win your new book. I am working on finishing up UFO's this year so I can get my studio more organized. HaHa. Thank you for sharing the quilts from your new book. Take care and God bless, Cory
Hi Bonnie, My favorite quilt is roll roll cotton boll. I really like that quilt. Kiss in the Corner is a cutie and I think I have some leftovers to get me started on that one. Thank you! ~~Lisa
Thanks for another great quilt pattern, Bonnie. Just love all the yellow in this one. You know, I'm going to have to quit my job to have time to make all of your patterns that I want to!! LOL
OMG What a pretty bonus Quilt pattern!!!!!! I would have to say my favorite quilt is one I am working on now. It is your RRCB I just love how it is turning out and haveing fun with some techniques I haven't done before as well. I have tons of scaps and I intend to make as many of your patterns as I can to use them up!
I made a halloween themed scrappy quilt for my daughter that is my favorite just because she loves it so much.
P.S. So far, the favorite quilt I've made is Double Delight. Just love the colors.
Thank you so much for the Trunk Show! Wish I could see them in person. My favorite quilt is a BOM I did when first learning to quilt. My first daughter was in the bucket car seat and I would carry her in sleeping. I didn't know that it was themed with civil war fabrics so I used a lattice sashing with navy fabric and cherries for the dark and beige fabric with cherries for the light. I love it. It will likely be in competition with the 3.5 log inch cabins I'm now making - using your theory of everything goes! I've made about 80 and they are adorable.Love your site, thanks for a chance to win a book.
Kiss in the corner is wonderful, but I'm saving myself for RRCB!!!! LOL :). Would love one of the new books!
I am working on my first "Bonnie quilt" Roll,Roll,Cotton Boll and learning so much. I just love the string piecing. I also love using up my scraps. Thanks Bonnie!
Love your quilts. Just finishing up on your current mystery quilt, love the result, love the stretch (string piecing).
Hello, Bonnie,
every quilt that you show, is the one that I want to make immediately!
The quilts from the new book look lovely.
On with RRCB.
One of my favorite quilts (it's hard to choose just one) was one of your mystery quilts--Orange Crush! I made mine in mardi gras colors of purple, green, gold, and black and I LOVE it! Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of your new book!
I am not ready to start another quilt until I finish RRCB, but this is going in my file for future use.
My fav quilt is the "Dandy Block" queen size I have on my bed now that is made from reproduction fabrics. It's a fav because it reminds me of grandma.
My fav quilt made from a pattern of yours is "Patches and Pinwheels".
Thank you for this new pattern and I'm almost finished with "Roll, Roll..."
Cathy L
I forgot to tell you about my favorite quilt over on SM but I think it is always the one I am currently working on or just finished! I love the red and white one I just finished. Would love a copy of your book.
Bonnie, I get so much inspiration from you...thanks! I am amazed at your energy and how much you accomplish! I'm still working on Carolina Christmas mystery and it's beautiful! Hope to finish it this month.
I haven't been quilting for long, but I just finished up a large hexagon from Jaybird's quiltalong & I think it's my favorite so far, but I'm anxious to try a new one
I just left a message over on the other about my favorite "Christmas Lights" that I made... but something else that I just remembered that I love about it is the only thing I had to go out and "purchase" was the batting!!!!!!!! everything else came from my own stash and that was the first time I'd done that ---even the snowman backing was in my stash! :)
oh and I had made extra units that I used on the backing side... and they were in one place "tangled" which I only saw after they were all sewn into one huge backing.... and just like the quilt's namesake "Christmas Lights" I laughed and decided to leave them as is... tangled ;) and I'm glad I did! :P
Thanks for sharing a pattern and also the chance to win a signed copy of your book!!!
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
I said it on SManicure, but I have several favorites....Star Struck I did in plaids, or the Bricks and stepping stones, and your very first mystery. I love all of my scrap quilts!
All I have to say is you're amazing...do you ever sleep?
Saska
My favorite of mine is a maze made in kona solids... but Bonnie's patterns is what encouraged me to use small pieces.
Thanks for another great pattern. It will be saved until...
My favourite quilt is the latest one I am working on, currently RRCB.
I would love to win a copy of your book.
Safe trip.
Ciao
Another of my favorite quilts is Prairie Stars that was my first very scrappy quilts. I love doing everything scrappy if I can. Thanks for the give aways.
One of my favs this past year was the star quilt started at your workshop in Athens, AL. I can't wait for you to come to our guild in May! Yea!!!
My favorite quilt was the mystery I did early 2010 which ended up with a large center star. It is a large quilt to fit our Queen bed and it turned out so nice- I just love it. Thank you so much for the free pattern. Wow, I can't wait to try this one with one of my monthly challenges - maybe even next month in the monochromatic color challenge. Now that would be really cool to try. Your book looks fabulous. Keeping my fingers crossed. : ) Hugs to all and have a great creative and inspriing week.
I love the look of on-point blocks and the look of scrappy blocks. While I can do the on-points I never seem brave enough to just let go and "grab" scraps ... Your quilts are wonderful and so full of memory makers! Thank you Bonnie for the opportunity of winning your book and also for the free pattern ... marvelous!
You go girl! Im not waiting to win the book Im ordering right away. Will donate to guild at Smith Mountain where you taught if win. Have all your books and love each one. Love your quilts, love your generosity, and love your blog. (followed a long time but just learning how to post)
-betty
I used to think my favorite block was the log cabin, but I find my favorite quilt is a "skinny rail fence" with florals...just so springy and welcoming! Thanks for the chance to win your new book!! Kristie Michalowski
I think my favorite quilts have been bordered square type patterns. Very simple, but then I get to play with colors and lots of scraps. Anything I'm making for someone else is a favorite while I'm working on it since I think about them the whole time.
I <3 your directions!!! SOOOO simple to follow! Even for a newer quilter! <3 Thank you for the chance at a giveaway! <3
Well its hard to pick...but probably when I got to make a baby quilt for my very own granddaughter. It certainly made it VERY special for me. Love nine patches....and log cabins...but there is something about following along with your mysteries that just organizes my thoughts a different way that I truly enjoy.
thanks for a chance to win your great book Bonnie.
Safe travels and continued success!
Happy sewing
Hi Bonnie-I love all that you do! I enjoy making all my quilts, so I don't have any one favorite. It is learning new techniques that are really my favorite, such as using a new ruler like the EZ angle or learning another way to make flying geese or learning to use itsy bitsy pieces of fabric. I have followed your blog and the Quiltville website for a while now and have joined in your last two mysteries. Keep up the great work and congrats on the third new book. I already pre-ordered one, but if I win one I will be donating it to my guild (WA Stars QG in Olympia, WA)for their quilt book library. Bonnie, QUILT ON!
My favorite quilt is the one I made for my dad out of his old ties(fan blocks) and shirting fabric as the background. It's a great memory quilt for my mom now since Dad died.
I can't wear yellow, but I'd certainly be happy rolled up in it, lol.
Love this pattern, kind of reminds of the RRCB block and it's great to see yellow in a quilt too!
Gail :)
P.S. I finally figured out how to add my email to my blog!
I love all my scrappy quilts, because that really says "quilting" to me. Scrappy Mountain Majesties and Scrappy Trip around the World are two Bonnie patterns that I've made and really enjoyed. Right now I'm working on Texas Chain in stash blues and that's my favorite this week. Love your books and patterns!
My current favorite quilt is one I made ALL from stash a few years ago. It was the first quilt I actually had the courage to enter in a show and uses all my favorite colors. As you said, when I ran out of fabric in a particular color, I just grabbed more in that color and kept going. It was so fun.
There can never be too much yellow....
Gorgeous design as usual.
Keep up the great work. I love it.
Those yellows really pop! My favorite quilt so far was my Brown Bag Challenge quilt. It was so fun getting someone else's fabric and trying to come up with something. Trying to see a quilt in all of the fun fabrics I got . Thank you for the give away.
Hope this doesn't sound like too much of a repeat of my comment at Stash Manicure but my most favorite quilt is a crazy quilt I made while my son was ill. I took pieces of it along to his appointments and hospitalizations to embroider. It was a great stress reliever!
I'm still working on RRCB and since I love red and pink, its rapidly becoming a favorite quilt too.
I've started my stash of recycled shirts/clothing and I'm looking forward to your next book coming out! At our last guild meeting, I told someone that after I finish my selvage quilt I'd like to start one using recycled clothing. Her comment, "Your quilting projects are always so interesting." Emphasis on interesting. I'm not sure she meant that as a compliment but I'm definitely taking it as one and replied, "Thanks!"
My favorite quilt I have ever made is definitely a disappearing 9 patch from charm packs - it was "scrappy" and yet not - and just the best fabrics.
Thanks, Bonnie - this quilt is so, so neat!
My favorite? It changes so often - my other post mentioned a black/white/red top I'm finishing up this weekend, but I also love the West Virginia Backroads from the Hawks Nest retreat with you a few years ago. It's nowhere near done, but I love the fall colors of it, plus the fabrics are so varied and "planned scrappy" - it really reminds me of fall here in our WV hills!
Thanks again!

Thank you Bonnie for your generosity and sharing your talent with others. I return often to your website to recharge my batteries and draw inspiration from your quilts and 'words of wisdom'. Sue in Oregon
Love the quilt pattern you desinged- thanks for sharing. My favorite quilt is one I made from my grandmas stash.
I really don't have a favorite. I have a so far favorite as I'm not done with quilting yet.haha! Seriously tho It's my current project Butterfly Garden I ran out of fabric and am down to the last block need 4 half sq. tri. in this not to be found in 2 states fabric. arugh! So I have been thru all scraps and have put together bits and pieces to make this work. Lesson learned never throw anything away (Hoarders is going to hate this) lol and I had the means to finish right here, so i will always rember this one
I read about your new book over at Stash Manicure and loved the photos. Thanks for the new quilt pattern today. You are so prolific producing quilts, it makes my head spin!!!
Thank you, Bonnie. Another lovely quilt pattern!
I may have to draw a name from a hat in order to make the choice of my first shirt quilt, just too many favorites!

prettyposies00@gmail.com
One of my favorite quilts (who can choose just one) is a quilt I made from scraps of my daughter's sundresses and blouses that I made for her when she was small. Her Granny quilted it so it's full of memories.
sheila.fernkopf@gmail.com
My favorite quilt, they are all my favorites. I like scrappy quilts that remind me of the ones my great grandmother and grandmother used. They were old and soft and cozy! I also love anything red, white and blue! Thanks for the chance to win your book, it looks fantastic.
My favorite quilt that I've made is a flying geese quilt I made from a tutorial on Lucy's blog Quilting with the Past. I just love scrappy quilts - Thanks for all the inspiration!
Bonnie, you've designed another winner! I love this quilt almost as much as the Roll Roll Cotton Boll that you gave us as a mystery. RRCB is my current favorite quilt.

Loved this pattern. Now all I have to do is find the time to make it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Lovely quilt! Another inspired scrappy one! The yellow just makes it so sunny!
My favorite quilt is a Civil War Homefront quilt with blocks made for me for my birthday in an online yahoo group. It has been on my bed since it was finished. I love it and I had so much fun making blocks for everyone's birthdays and receiving the blocks from everyone in the mail for my birthday. I'm looking forward to your new book and all of the great patterns! I have millions of scraps and just got an accuquilt Go! cutter so I am determined to get them out of the boxes and make them into quilts! Your patterns are perfect for me!
My favorite quilt is the first one I made 25 years ago because it started this crazy adventure and new way of life that I love so much.
Love, love, love yellow!
Probably an appliqued pumpkin quilt is the one I am most proud of. But I have lots of favorites!
Wow, another great quilt. I need to get some of that chrome yellow. It really makes the quilt pop. Thanks for all these quilt pattern presents even if Christmas is over. Thanks!
Gail Auen
I made your Orange Crush Quilt and I showed my daughter-in-law the quilt and she just loved that quilt. How bright and cheerful it is. We are going to make the Roll Roll Cotton Boll together so we will have a family heirloom.
Thanks Bonnie for another beauty! My favorite quilt was made on a weekend trip to the beach with my sister and two other friends. We all made the same quilt and had quite the assebly line going, not to mention our chatterboxes! The quilt is scrappy deliciousness and the wonderful fellowship made for a weekend I'll never forget! Safe travels Bonnie!
Bonnie,
Thank you very much for your kindness and generosity which have given so many of us pleasure and inspiration.
My favorite quilt is one of my first made about 15 years ago for my 9 year old daughter. It is a simple double 4 patch made out of only 3 fabrics. It went to every sleep over, slumber party, college, and is still on her bed.
I love RRCB - the colors and design, and am enjoying every step. This is my 4th "Bonnie" quilt and is the one where I finally got serious about strips, squares, and bricks. I've been cutting stash fabric like crazy, enjoying every moment. I get a silly grin on my face just looking at these strips. :-) Laura
Great Quilt! My favorite quilt is one I made using the Birds in the Air block set on point with blue and white shirting fabrics.
this is a great pattern. hope to do it
Hi Bonnie
Thank you so much for another excellent free pattern. Where on earth do you get all your lovely yellows.
I would love to win your new book, and would be happy to pay the postage. haha. no pressure VBG!
Kindest regards
Sue in New Zealand
Love the pattern Bonnie. Don't know how you keep coming up with all the winners that you do but they are great. My favorite quilt is your Double Delight Mystery which I did manage to finish and looks great. Can't wait for your new book to be released.
I love chunky churndashes. They look great in all scrappy fabrics and can be set in so many ways. Your patterns have helped me use my stash, of which I am ever so thankful. You are so generous..i need to finish rrcb...then I think I will try kiss in the corner. Looking forward to your new book. It is sure to be a hit.
Congratulations on the new book! What a gorgeous quilt you made for us this time. Thanks
Pretty Quilt! The list of 'to do's' is getting way too long! I have to say my favorite quilt is a scrappy pinwheel that I am working on now. It is from a book by Kim Brackett... but I've modified the borders from what she shows. I've used some ideas from your site as well and love how it has turned out.
A pretty yellowish quilt, also love the rollrollcottonboll-mystery, although the diagonal setting will be a challenge for me. My absolute favorite quilt is your Maverick Stars-quilt, scrappy, funny and wonky. It would be great if I win. Greetingz from Austria :-) when will you visit us in the German/Austrian-area?
I LOVE the chrome yellow but then I LOVE all your quilts.
Thanks for sharing another great pattern. Already have some repurposed fabric in mind for it. Looking forward to your newest book! Sally
I think my most favorite small quilt is a wall hanging I made for a friend with Alzheimer's Disease in a nursing home. I always hope it reminds her that there are people who care about her.
I love, love, love your new book, Bonnie. I can't wait to order it. Thank you for the inspirational trunk show. AS I am sewing the last border on my RRCB, I am contemplating how I am going to do the Kiss in the Corner AND Smith Mountain Morning.. which I just love. Thank you for being so generous with your time and your talent..
OMG! Beautiful quilt and lovely stories about "where" the fabrics came from. Your artist's eye is so right on!
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Love you soooo much!
XOXOXO Subee in COLD Indiana
Orange Crush is such a joyful explosion of color and creativity. In addition to orange, I used purple and red as constants and lots of bright scraps.
Thank you for Kiss in the Corner--and all your generous creativity. it is the "memories of Southern France" quilt I have been wanting to make.
I can't pick a favourite quilt - I love everyone I'm working on - it would be like picking a favourite child! I love your patterns and blog! Thank you for the giveaway!
paulamb at shaw dot ca
as of this point, my all time fave would be a double wedding ring, done for christmas, forest green and burgundy, hand pieced and hand quilted, but that's so far.
Thanks for sharing this lovely quilt!! I love scrappy quilts, currently working on RRCB and Weed-Whacker. The all-time favorite quilt that I have made is a queen size "Cathedral Window" with each window from a different fabric square, all hand-stitched.
By the way, I copied your "Best Potato Soup" recipe, my husband made it and declares it is indeed the best potato soup ever. Thanks also for the recipe!!
Love all of your quilts. I am looking forward to seeing you in Baton Rouge!
Loving the yellow Bonnie. So glad it didn't make it into the book cos we get a bonus and get the pattern now. You are so generous!
Great quilt! I absolutely adore how you use what you have and that you make bed size quilts. I actually use my quilts on our beds. We have 3 in winter. Its fantastic. My favourite quily (at the moment) is my aqua and red quilt. I pulled all different aquas and reds from my stash, added a little hessian coloured linen and joined a quilt along. I had a fab time making that quilt.
My fav quilt I ever made would have to be Crumbs, it is sooo addictive, then would be a nine patch swap I did my my Round Robin group...thanks for putting me in the draw.
My favorite quilt is Double Delight. It happens to be the first quilt of yours that I made and my first mystery quilt. I've made every mystery quilt you've published since then. Thanks so much for all the effort you put in to this!
Thanks for the lovely pattern Bonnie :-) I will say that my Dear Jane quilt is my favourite quilt, but I also hold my red and white Nearly Insane quilt very dear - both made from fabric collection more or less. :-)
My favorite quilt thus far has some of my old t-shirts on it, backed in a flannel quilt that had a small hole it & had to be mended before backing it. It's not fancy, it's very simple, but it means so much. That's why I love your quilt so much--I love picking fabric out, but it's so neat to be able to look at a blanket and point to your favorite shirt, or a particular pair of pants you wore to your favorite family gathering, or something.
Dawn
I made a favorite quilt, but only in my mind, does that count? I imagine The Wizard of Oz theme I'd like to cut from a collection of old T-shirts, all having to do with Oz. Until then, I have a favorite quilt my daughter made using the latest Oz fabric, so colorful, like happiness in solid form! I have a friend who is a fabulous quilter and sends encouraging notes to get me going on my first endeavor; maybe your book will be the kick-start I need!
I posted about one favorite quilt on the other blog, but my other favorite is a Galaxy of Stars quilt I made several years ago. It has a lot of different fabrics in it in the full rainbow of colors. There's a double mariner's compass in the center. It took a long time to finish it, but well worth it.
my favorite that I've made is probably Carolina Christmas. I made 2 lap-size quilts for QOV instead of one big one. If I ever get caught up on my other works-in-progress I would like to make another one for me!
I guess my all time favorite quilt is called "Giant Dahlia." I made it in a class about six years ago. My current favorites are the two I am working on right now. They are "Cathedral Stars" and "Roll Roll Cotton Bowl."
Bonnie, I love all you do for us quilters and hope you continue your great work! I own your two previous books and am hoping to win this one.
Bonnie, you are so generous with your tutorials and now the lovely giveaway. Fan, Heart and Charm quilt is my current favourite - a design I came up with last year to use a gorgeous fabric range. It has lots of my favourite applique on it.
SO far I've only made one quilt, Flying Geese, so by default that's my favorite quit that I've made. I've been following RRCB though, and hope to give it a try later in the year (just too busy around the Holidays).
Bonnie, each quilt gets better and better! I just love both RRCB as well as this one. My all time favorite BH quilt is Cathedral Stars. I am looking forward to both your new book and Crusing with Bonnie & Pat in November.
HI Bonnie,
I have made over 50 large bed sized quilts- I think my favorite quilts are the bargello designs that I have made " Melinda's Heart" by Heidi K Farmer and the lOng and winding road out of Quilter magazine but I also love a Golden Leaves quilt that I made from the Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine. It is very hard to choose but they all have one thing in common rich colors and lots of fabrics. Thanks for the chance to win your new book.
Congratulations on finishing number 3- We all benefit from the many talents you share with quilters around the globe.
Regards from Western Canada,
Anna
Bonnie, you have again outdid yourself. Love this new Quilt I finished sewing the mystery blocks into rows today. Now on to making that piece border. Love them all.
My favourite was a very expensive log cabin, because it was my first. My new favourite is RRCB and it only cost me about 10.00 for some extra neutral. If I had seen 600 2" hsts at the beginning I never would have tried but I was already committed with the 60 string blocks (which I loved). You challenged me and I love it.
The favorite quilt I've made? Easy question. Old Tobacco Road!!! :-)
What a fun & cheery quilt! I am part way through RRCB, my first mystery with you and I am thouroughly enjoying it! Not usre that I could come up with a favorite from yours as I am a recent convert to your methods and am looking forward to making many from your first 2 books I already own. My favorite quilt so far is the quilt I made for my husband in celebration of our 25th weding anniversary! So thankful for the many blessings I have, a great DH who supports my quilt habit & of course the ability to piece quilts! I am so blessed!
They are all favorites, especially the ones done scrappy. I have a fondness for my version of your Orange Crush Mystery. Of course Roll Roll Cotton Boll is a favorite too.- cheryl from MO
Hi from Australia. I have popped over from Stash Manicure. I would love to be the lucky winner of your book. I really need to "manicure" my stash. :-)
My favourite quilt is Kansas Sunflower, from a book "Quilts from the Depression". It was a gift from my penfriend in Georgia. I was proud that most of the fabric came from my stash, and I used a pretty yellow sheet that I already had in my cupboard, for the backing!!! Sandy.
sandangels1945@hotmail.com
One of my favorite quilts is a controlled scrappy - a first attempt at scrappy. It uses scrappy friendship stars with controlled backgrounds. Yes, I have to get bolder. You are a good teacher. I'm in the middle of roll, roll cotton bowl right now.
Wow!! I love this pattern. It's definitely on my to do list. The favorite quilt I have ever made is my Tumbling Block quilt. It's a twin size quilt I made for my daughter all out of scraps. I pieced it all by hand and quilted it all by hand. It was only my fourth quilt ever. I just love it. It was a challenge at first, but was so relaxing to just sit and stitch by hand. Thanks for all the inspiration you give us!!! Hugs Ariane
My favorite is your Cathedral Stars pattern - my very first big top. And it is just getting ready (after ? years of delay...) to be put on the short arm frame as we speak. Love your approach to quilting - it got me started! Your Michigan workout buddy, Barb
My favorite is a Disappearing 9 Patch I made from A Morris Garden in charm packs - the colors, the smaller scale of working with charms, the pieced middle border- all of it just came together. the best part was gifting it "unexpectedly" to my sister because it just felt like the right thing to do... and I know she loves it as much as I do.
No rest for the weary. Another great pattern to tackle! Can't zero in on a favorite; each one I do becomes the one.... But "scrappy" is definitely the "in thing" for me.
Nice border for RRCB. My favorite quilt was a BOM in all country colors, it has barns and stars and applique and I hand quilted it. If I could only keep one quilt, this would be the one!
My favorite quilt so far is Double Delight. It is so cozy and fun to look at
I would love to win a copy of your book but choosing my favorite quilt is like deciding which is my favorite child! So, what do I say? I recently finished a smaller sized bed quilt and I was so happy how it turned it out (scrappy, of course) so I'll say that one is my current fave. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I love 1/2 square triangle units. Can't wait to make this quilt. Would love to win your new book.
I have always been drawn to scrap quilts and appreciate your website because it is such an inspiration...I'm hooked on all things scrappy! One of the favorite quilts that I have made early on in my "quilting life" was a red and white drunkards path. It always makes me smile when I look at it!
Bonnie,
Churn dash is one of my favorite blocks. Your little ones are just so darn cute! This will probably on my list of your "to do" patterns. I'm very excited about your new book. Looking forward to meeting you and taking your class in Lincoln, NE. We will probably have SNOW waiting for you!
I've gotta love scrappy too. I have to say also I love making string quilts. Great looking quilt.
Thanks Bonnie for all your wonderful patterns and quilts. I have always made scrap quilts but you have taught me to look at them another way. My favorite quilt is all of them!!!!
NOW you have challenged people! Some people have a hard time using yellow. Love it!
Oh, Bonnie!!
Kiss in the Corner looks to be my new favorite!!
**Thank you!!**
My favorite always seems to be the one I'm currently working on!... Which is Roll Roll Cotton Boll at the moment!!
But, I think I'm in love with Kiss in the Corner, too!!!
(Who says we can't have more than one favorite??!)
Bonnie, you are a creative genius, blessed with an amazing talent!!...
**Thank you!!**, for sharing your talent with us!!
Can't wait to see your new book!!
{{{hugs}}}
Blessings!!!
Pat T.
Bonnie, although all the presentations are nice, my favorite is the super scrappy one! You have revolutionized how I store my fabrics, and even how I look at them. Ugly or uptown, I love, and USE them all, and it's because of you. Lots of zip-locks lying around with various size strips, all pre-cut, waiting to be used in your next project. Thank you!
My favorite is a soft pink and yellow quilt from a pattern by the name of Duck, Duck, Goose.
I am going to make this one too....good job Bonnie!

My Favourite quilt so far has been one of you patterns Old Tobacco Roads - which I called Old Dairy Lanes (because I used green bricks instead of brown ones). I love the way the simple pin wheels and nine patches combine on point to make these crazy colourful vertical rows - it makes me smile whenever I look at it. I am in the process of making another one but BIGGER for our bed. Still working out whether to make the blocks bigger, or just make more of them - it will be in blues, greens, reds and the bricks will be navy blue.
angela
My favorite quilt is a quilt I made from your Star Struck pattern.
Have a happy day.
My favorite quilt was the Storm at Sea I made for my son when he joined the navy. I used dark navy with cream and yellow. I was able to get dark navy blue fabric with small yellow stars and anchors on it. In the top left corner I used red fabrics instead of the yellow & cream to form a star. I titled it "My Sailor's Delight" after the old saying "red sky at morning, sailors take warning, red sky at night is a sailor's delight".
I would love to win a copy of your new book.
I don't know if I could choose a favorite quilt, but I can tell you about a quilt that was very important to my development as a quilter. It was my "Ugly Log Cabin" which was made from the fabrics I got from an Ugly Fabric Swap. This quilt demonstrated two important quilting rules:
1) Ugly fabrics just need to be cut smaller.
and
2) Black makes the other fabrics in a quilt sparkle.
--C.B.
I swear I am NOT sucking up! My favorite quilt to date is Carolina Crossroads. I made it in blues and browns with black for the star points. It is HUGE (like most of your quilts) and I love snuggling under it.
Thanks for another great pattern, Bonnie! I don't know if I have one favorite quilt but the one I mentioned on stash manicure is among my favorites and it's a log cabin quilt made entirely from scraps. I actually made 2 from my scrap bag and had a bag left over still!!
Bonnie,
I love your generosity, I cannot thank you enough for all you do for your fellow quilters.
I have directed many friends to your website and they all thank me for pointing them in your direction.
I am a relatively new quilter and have more UFO's than "finished" quilts. I think the reaso for that is I seem to find so many new quilts I fall in love with. Therefore, the only thing I can tell you is that my favourite quilt is either the one I am currently working on or the one I am designing in EQ6.
Thanks again,
Lisa
Bonnie, Thanks for another great pattern. I think my favorite is the Happy Scrappy Houses. Please enter me in the drawing. I would love to win one of your books!
Bonnie, you're a hoot! I love all of your quilts books, and quilting ideas! You crack me up how you can take people like me, and get them to make such large quilts w/o them even knowing that they're doing it. I mean, I would never attempt to make a large quilt w/so many pieces if I had seen it at the beginning. You make it so FUN, and then it's done! I always like the current quilt I'm working on Cuz it's a mystery in the end, LOL!
My favourite quilt I've made is one called "Leanne's House" by Australian designer Leanne Beasley. It is a scrappy quilt (although I had to buy lots of forals as I didn't have many!). Any excuse for a shopping trip. Thanks for the great giveaway.
My favorite finished quilt is the Triple Irish Chain I made for our daughter who spent three plus years in Ireland working on her PhD. I attended the graduation in Dublin in June; the quilt was delivered the following Thanksgiving. :) I love the quilt you posted; I'm wondering how it would look with orange instead of chrome yellow. :)
Bonnie, I just bought a few shirts at Goodwill that would fit right into that quilt. Oh my, that is a great quilt. I just want to try to make all of the quilts you show. I really need to retire so I can just quilt. It's a thought. Donna
At this point, I think my Cathedral Stars is my favorite scrappy quilt --- but, I have others in the works and it is soooooooo hard to decide. Thank you for this new pattern --- I'm working on rccb --- and, now I have more to add to my "want to do" list. I don't have blogger on my dashboard so ---
quiltschon@att.net
Another great scrap quilt to add to my list - than you.
I agree with what someone else said, my favorite quilt is usually the one I'm working on at the time. But as for a specific quilt overall, I think it would be the Strip Twist I made for my son to take to college. It just makes me feel good to know that a little bit of home and love are with him, and knowing that he will wear it out and that's ok is also a good feeling! He was surprised and touched that I had made a quilt just for HIM--sniffle, sniffle!! I miss my baby boy!

My favorite quilt was a mystery quilt we made in my guild a few years ago...it turned out to be beautiful stars of light, medium and dark fabrics...loved it! Thank you for the wonderful and fun mysteries!
Another beautiful quilt Bonnie! Thank you so much for your generous gift of the pattern. blessings, marlene
I like using bonus HST's. When I made your Pineapple Blossom I used them to make pinwheel blocks for the border. I have also used this technique on other quilts. I look forward to your new book.
So far, my favorite quilt is the one I made for my DH. It is a modified Jacob's Ladder pattern. It's my favorite because of who I made it for!
Carolina Christmas is my favorite that I made
in soft blues, yellows and greens, Also Roll, Roll, Cotton, Bowl that I am making now is also becoming a favorite. I love all your quilts and your blog. Would love to win your new book.
Bonnie, I think you are just a bundle of energy!!
I have two favorite quilts. The first one is the first, and only, sampler I've made; it's black and white with brights. It's the first one I did on my long arm, and the first one I did free-motion, with customized quilting in each and every block.
The second favorite quilt is the first quilt I ever finished, measuring 109" by 129"!! It's a Turning Twenty quilt, and it was my foray into scrappy quilting, with which I was extremely uncomfortable at the time. Now, I absolutely love them!
Thanks for all you do, and all you share!
Regards,
Connie - Boise, ID
I'll check my dashboard when I post this!
I would rather receive a box of crumbs than to go buy a new yard of fabric!!It's better than Christmas and I sit and separate each piece into colors. Also, thanks for making useless scrap pieces under the needle into leaders and enders. Thanks for everything you do.
the favorite quilt i ever made is the one i made for my husband. it's pretty simple, just a double nine patch, but it is huge, was hand quilted, and took a long time to do. each stitch was stitched with love just for him!
I love the yellows you used in this! I have a bunch to use up too...This looks like the perfect solution! Thanks!!
My favorite quilt is one I made this year. I completed a feathered star and it was worth it!
Wow, I love this quilt, too! It must be incredibly difficult to choose which quilt patterns will/will not be included in your books! Thank you for your generosity in sharing so many patterns online! Your books and patterns are the best!
Love the quilt - you got me with the yellow!
Another great pattern for me to save! Thanks for sharing!
My favorite quilt that I made will be the Roll, Roll Cotton Boll whenever I get done with it!!!! I am new so I am slow but I'll get there eventually. Good thing winter will come again next year! hehehe
It's hard to pick a favorite, but any quilt with nine patches is fun to make.
Another pattern I can't wait to get started on. Thanks for all the great patterns you give us. Great post at Stash Manicure.
Oh my favorite quilt has to be my version of your Orange Crush. I just love that quilt!
Bonnie - I love this pattern! I have a lot of little pieces that would lend themselves well to this project. Thank you so much!!
I have a blue and gold log cabin I throw on my bed when my feet gets cold, so I'll say that is my current favorite. I also have a Sister's Choice (your version) started using my late Mom's stash, that I'm making for my sister. That will be a special quilt.
p.s. I love your Kiss in the Corner quilt! The chrome yellow is great.
I'd love to be entered for your giveaway here as well. Again, my favorite quilt is the first one I made my husband when I was "learning" to quilt because of it's major imperfections, and because my DH loves it still :).
You're gonna be reading for a long time if you read all these! This is a great quilt Bonnie. Sure hope I win a copy of your book. Love all the yellow in this one.
Enjoyed your post on Stash Manicure today. My favorite quilt so far is the log cabin quilt I gave my parents for Christmas this year.
Looking forward to making your Roll Roll Cotton Boll quilt. Thank you for inspiring me to sort all my fabrics by color -- organization feels so good! Congrats on your new book.
WOW try to pick a favorite quilt....right now I guess it would have to be my scrappy split 9 patch. The blocks were an exchange with a group of friends and I love looking at all the different fabrics. Thanks for all your inspiration.
Bonnie, I love the yellow!!! Fabulous! I have a # of quiltsthat I really have loved making, but the Roll, Roll, Cotton Bool(s) I am working on will, I think, take top spot.
I would love to be chosen to receive a copy of your new book. It looks amazing!!! Thank you.
artistinres@gmail.com
OUCH! OUCH! This quilt is so cute it is making me hurt!!! LOVE this one....most certainly on my 'to do' list!!!
More 'green' quilting in my furture...especially after a recent trip to my local quilt shop where every yard in the joint was $9.79 a yard! YIKES!! I must say I felt totally RIPPED off! They used the recent high cotton prices as their excuse for recently raising their prices by 50 cents per yard. Dear hubby and I are cotton farmers and I am well aware of how the cotton market works. None of the yardage in their shop has yet to be affected by the 'short lived' high prices.....oh, don't get me started....LOL...I'll stop here and tuck my soap box away for the evening!!
Still thanking you for your generosity and sharing of your great quilt designs!!!
Thank you for such a wonderful giveaway. My favorite quilts are the scrappy ones I've made~ an especially dear one is one I made with my Mom and she hand quilted for me. Thanks for the great pattern!
Love the Yellow! My favorite quilt is usually the one I'm currently working on...which happens to be Pineapple Blossom. Picking a favortie would be like picking a favorite child. Love your blog, quilts, books, website. Keep it up...you have many fans.
Thank you for another great pattern. Still working on the RRCB. Since yellow is my favorite color I know what my next project is!
My favorite quilt is a snowball pattern where all paternal and maternal gandparents, aunts and uncles and of course mom and dad wrote something for my little one, as a welcome to this world before she was born. Family is scattered all over the US and Mexico so there was some well traveled fabric. It's made with cozy pastel flannels and will keep her body and soul warm with the loving words of her family. After learning from you to recycle fabrics, I'm planning on collecting fabric from family members garments to make memory quilts for my 2 kids.
Thanks for the giveaway. Blessings.
Oh my! So many more wonderful ideas! How do you manage to be so creative and inspiring with all the traveling and teaching? Thank you for sharing!
Marcia
My favorite quilt that I made is a scrap quilt using the Sew Simple Pineapple block. It was fun to make, and it is loved by a little boy that is an orphan in a foreign country.
I just love old scrappy quilts. My Grandmother made quilts using the fabrics given to her by the ladies in the small town where she lived. She tied them for utility quilts which were very much needed in Michigan
My favorite quilt thus far is the one on my bed - Carolina Crossroads! Looking forward to making more from your new book.

Boy! The yellow really makes the design pop! I have the first two books and the quilts in this newest book look more intricate. Not more difficult (I know you'll make it easy!) just more involved. My scraps are revved up and ready to take on the challenge!

My favorite quilt is the spider web quilt. I started this one when I was a newbie in 2000. My "Thursday Therapy Bee" ladies said it was a very old pattern and that I needed to learn how to sew "scrappy". We cut random sized stips or they called them "strings" from a traveling stash from a quilter who died a few years before. Scrappy was a very important type of quilt to learn and this one would be very freeing. I needed to learn to add uglies to make the pretties ones shine. I used Muted fabrics next to brights, solids,30's repro's, florals a little of everything. I actually tried to clash fabrics that touched. It was very freeing.
Thanks for sharing this pattern and helping us use those chrome yellows.
This is another gorgeous quilt. I also love to use my scraps to make pillow covers, soft toys etc. to match my scrappy quilts. I have enjoyed visiting your blog and will be back. Best wishes, Fiona
A favorite quilt is the one I started for my daughter when she was 2 yrs old. The fabric matched the wallpaper and everything! It just took 20 years to complete, the wallpaper is long gone, my daughter has a family of her own, but she treasures (and uses) the quilt every day. Quilts are like wine.....they get better with age!
Marcia in Missouri
My favorite quilt is usually the one I am working on at the moment. My favorite that I have made is a grandmas flower garden that I made out of scraps for my grand daughter.
Wow, another irresistable quilt! Sorry it didn't make it in the book, but we're the winners since we get it sooner! BTW, I still haven't finished the Blue Ridge Beauty that I started at a class in Sept. :>(((
I'd love an opportunity to win your third book. I sure like the preview and the patterns that you've shown. Smith Mountain has caught my attention! Sandi kwiltnkats@ymail.com
Very nice quilt. My favorite quilts are the ones that I made with blocks exchanged with my friends. I cannot pick just one since we made a few over the years. The last one last year was a Halloween house quilt. I won a couple of ribbons in 2 shows. That was the cherry on top. Thanks.
when i commented earlier on Stash Management I couldn't think of my very favorite quilt...but I do know my chunky churn dash is sure near the top...such a happy quilt! Thankyou Bonnie for the chance to win your newest book!
I am working on rrcb, my current favorite. I'm really looking forward to S&S II. I know I will l know I will love it as much as I do #1.
Thank you for another great quilt. You are the best!
my favorite quilt has to be the one I made using all my leftover blocks, bits and pieces and included photos of a very special friend and her bus. I also included a free-pieced saying on it. the quilt was presented to Bev, our 75+ yr. old fellow VW bus camper friend at the largest campout of the season. she was overwhelmed and reduced to tears.
Your next book is sure to be a winner. Loved every single quilt you showed over at Stash Manicure.
My #1 favorite quilt is easy to name. It's the quilt I made for my son while he was a helicopter pilot in Iraq, at the beginning of the conflict in 2003. I made the quilt like a journal, each block representing an event he had missed while overseas. As a worried mother, making that quilt kept me focused and distracted me. It's not beautiful or complex--but it's my favorite.
That is a seriously nice pattern! But I used all my yellows in Roll Roll Cotton Boll! (which is also a great pattern)
