Long Overdue Computer Time!

I've been working on getting the shopping cart added to my site. It's pretty cool! But so many variables my head is spinning. Good thing I only have ONE product so far! If I had more, I might really be pulling my hair out. As soon as I have books in my hot little hands, I'll activate the shopping cart page. I know many of you want to pre-order, but I don't want to be overwhelmed until I've had a few more days at home to sort out my life!

But here you go! What do you think of the COVER?! I'm so tickled. We chose this one out of about 4 or 5 others, and it really is the best. The text on the back wasn't inserted yet with this file, so it reads as if it was written in faux-latin. *LOL* (Click the pic to really check it out. Kansas City Star has really done a GREAT job!)

As for the cat on the back cover and in the book, he isn't mine! But knowing that everyone would ASSUME he was mine, I found out a bit about him. According to Brian:
He belongs to one of my best friends, Cecilia: we were shooting at her house. The cat's name is Theo, and he just LOOKS sweet - he's an aggressive one! Even as a baby when I'd visit Cecilia, he'd take off in a mad dash clear across the room to swipe at my ankles!

He's now 14 and MUCH more mellow - but can love you one minute and swipe at you the next!

Thanks for being my poster-cat, Theo!

Oh Bonnie - it's just the BEST cover I can imagine -- it's so YOU, as we know you! LOL -- I'll be in the line to purchase it.

Noticed your Quilt Police on your sidebar. In my previous post, I spoke about 'the Quilt Police' who actually showed up at our State Quilt Convention! She wasn't as bad as we think!

Thanks for this book - we've been watching for a long time!

The cover looks beautiful!!! Really fantastic! I can't wait to see the book :)

By the way, as I'm not a blogger, and only a commenter, AM I reply-able? I read your explanation paragraph just now, but I don't think it applies to me. I'm a googler, though. (@google.com) I'd be curious.

That's one of the best looking quilt books I've ever seen!

just checked my gmail properties, and I don't see anything that seems to be blogger-related. So many intricacies to the internet...

You hit the nail on the head by the comment "Quilting Green". Everything you see advertised these days has "Green" in it. So you should have a big hit on your hands. Can't wait to get mine.

Oh Bonnie, I LOVE your book cover! Funny how I have clicked over here at least 5-6 times every day since that barbie cake... and then didn't get to swing by today - and BAM! post after post after post! :) :) :) Love all the videos... It's so exciting hearing you talk about old quilts and their makers!

I agree your cover really gets the readers attention... just shows enough of each quilts corner to pull you in... I can't wait to get a autographed copy this fall!

I've been disecting about 5 shirts every night and getting my assortment ready so I can make a scrappy "Shirttails" one day. :c)

Love from Texas!! ~bonnie

WOOHOO It's almost here!!!

I am so happy to see what looks to be Carolina Crossroads on the back cover!! I am going to offer up my finished Carolina Crossroads to the local quilt shop to display IF they will carry your book!! It's almost here it's almost here -- this is so exciting I just can't wait--- it is just like one of the first mystery quilt clues when we didn't know when the next one would come and we would all sit on our puters in anticipation like little kids waiting for Christmas :) It's nice you can bring out the child in us!

I love this cover and just can't wait to buy the book.........So - what strange language is the bit on the lower left written in? Publishers pig latin? My only fear is that hoards of women will buy up all the neat fabric from thrift stores and there won't be any left, but since I don't need any more, I'm calming my little fear with mindful breathing! LOL. You should be so proud of your work and your message and your philosophy, Bonnie. Congratulations! kjalics@rocketmail.com
