I really like the glass pattern, though I usually see those on the side door windows rather than on the actual door itself. My folks had one that was also connected to the smoke detector and police/fire depts. and while they were away for a year or so my brothers family moved into their home. Every time my SIL would make dinner (she had a tendency to burn the food!) So, the smoke detector would go off and then the fire dept. would call to say that they were on the way! LoL... finally my folks called the security com. and asked them to turn it off completely... it was embarrassing my SIL... but, on the lighter side... ahem, the family always knew when it was time to eat! <br />Oh, and I'm thinking they put the labels onto the windows... so they don't spoil the new paint jobs! However, we did not get the code from the previous owner and I accidentally armed it one day (what can I say, I got curious and pressed buttons). Then I couldn't disarm it and called the company. They gave me their standard codes to use, but nothing worked, so they finally told me to unplug it. Unfortunately, they neglected to mention that it has battery backup and beeps even louder when you try to remove said battery. My nerves were shot by the time I got everything unplugged.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17306504793699710978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-31324795303869076032012-12-05T18:44:41.127-05:002012-12-05T18:44:41.127-05:00Bonnie, your front door is exactly like mine! I think it might work on my house, and I have had the hardest time trying to decide what color to paint it. The upstairs walkin attic had a regular inside door on it. Finally had the back door replaced with one that had a window (as the dining room in "room-locked" and only has a small window-dark and depressing) and moved the insulated door up to the attic entrance. What a difference in both areas-light and temperature control in upstairs hall! So glad I made the investment in my mental health and comfort!Bevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09148732999128660646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-6855983355265012642012-12-05T17:34:07.156-05:002012-12-05T17:34:07.156-05:00The very same thing happened with us and the door ...The very same thing happened with us and the door alarm! we moved in the end of August and started hearing these little beeps about three weeks ago. It was annoying and my DH just pushed the little button on the wall that was flashing and oh, my goodness the alarms started sounding all over the house. Of course, we had no codes to disarm it or anything - we were told it was disabled. police even showed up and they had to call the previous owner who didn't remember the codes and it was about three hours before the alarms finally stopped. Thankfully our new neighbors were not upset- but it was annoying!Gayle and Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13829348939243212246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-52365325275029979302012-12-05T14:57:03.381-05:002012-12-05T14:57:03.381-05:00Love the doors!
