I think the oldest was 2012? If I haven't used it by now, I never will! We downsized, and my current spice cabinet is the same size and shape as yours. I've put a small Dollar Store basket on each shelf, and put most-used spices in the lowest basket. Stuff we seldom use on the top! We are organizing geniuses, Bonnie! :)Kathy Brighamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09334871971236785689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-36549382400815186882021-04-19T15:30:02.204-04:002021-04-19T15:30:02.204-04:00Thank You for the great pictures. Maybe I didn't close it tight. Just put it in the blender and sifted it back into a canning Jar with one moisture packets. Works great. Everyone get out and enjoy this weather while you can. We just visited our son and family who recently moved to Tn. We kept driving by those trees along the highway starting in lower Indiana, Kentucky and into Tn. They are not a tree found in northern Michigan where we live. They were so pretty and a great pop of color. My daughter's children have enjoyed Legos so much that they asked her if she would resort them into the original 39 sets they have and with they have created so many other items. We talk to one another every Sunday and today, she mentioned that she had finally finished after 11 days of sorting and no one being able to use the living room floor! Everyone was thrilled and had already started using Legos as original sets.
She doesn't keep very many spices!!
Blessings for all you share!Helen S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06024736314452935908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-5518252209934681302021-04-18T16:52:07.358-04:002021-04-18T16:52:07.358-04:00Beautiful pictures of the shrubs blooming. Downloaded the new pattern so I have that to enjoy pulling fabrics for and to remind me spring has sprung. :) We received our 2nd shot yesterday! Like you, I feel fine and feel better knowing I should be safe to go around others, with the mask. Will be glad when we can get rid of that too. Thanks again for the upbeat blog. Both times, just before getting home, he had motion sickness. He hasn't had that for years. I had a virusy feeling a few days later. Not sure if it was related to the shot or not, but I think even if it was, it was well worth it. I figure they have been making vaccines for over 100 years and science just keeps getting better. I trust Dr. Fauci and other medical experts. Just waiting for all my kids to be able to get the shot. I am so grateful to the people staffing these vaccination sites. The site where we went is in Edison, NJ. It was staffed by members of our NJ National Guard and FEMA workers. It is super organized and everyone we dealt with was really nice. Before we efven got inside, one of the men checking ID's outside offered to push my husband's wheelchair over the bump at the threshold. As to spices, I just read an article saying most of themare fine well after the expiration date. By the way, I think the discussion regarding irons a couple of weeks ago jinxed me. A couple of days after that, my iron started turjing itself off. Two days after that, it died. I was using a Singer that I paid about $40 for about five years ago. I had to switch to my expensive ($159 on sale) Olisio and I'm not happy about that iron. I just ordered a Black and Decker and hope I like that. For years, I used an old Proctor Silex tat someone gave me and I loved that iron.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18395305100178768668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-2310151486374706372021-04-18T12:57:35.526-04:002021-04-18T12:57:35.526-04:00Oh, I think I will add a comment on the spices - w...Oh, I think I will add a comment on the spices - when we remodeled the kitchen I cleaned out the pantry and was absolutely embarrassed at the stuff that was very out of date. Lots of good topics today. I am one of...Hi, Bonnie. Lots of good topics today. I am one of those who had no reaction to the vaccine except a sore arm for the first one (but not at all on the second). If a spice smells like it's supposed to when I open the jar, it stays. I'm a bit hyper-vigilant these days as to masks and hand washing since my sister, who is currently being treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, is living with me. The treatment has taken her immune system down to almost nothing. Her world is limited to my house and car and the medical facility and hospital where she receives various treatments. This requires that we wear masks even in our home when we are in the same room with her, more frequent housecleaning, and disinfecting everything that comes in the door including groceries, even so far as changing clothes after we've been out before going into areas she lives in. I only share this so people may be more aware that there are many reasons people might require COVID-like restrictions even when COVID was not/is not a concern any more. I had hoped what we've experienced during this pandemic would have made people more considerate of others, but what I see is so disappointing. Your attitude and sharing your experience and thoughts is encouraging. Thank you.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14807301075159043773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-43438111146790984542021-04-17T16:49:32.956-04:002021-04-17T16:49:32.956-04:00Love the new pattern!
