I...These blocks look like so much fun Bonnie! <br /><br />I'm not so sure they need a sashing though--looking at them laying together like that I am loving the secondary patterns (scrappy four patch and four color split square-in-square) that form when the blocks are put right next to each other. <br /><br />Although all that color and pattern would definitely make the top a really busy one. They sure are scrappy! I love scrappy, but I also like to rest my eyes a bit. I'd ask the parents of the baby-on-the-way what color the nursery is and use that for borders and sashing. I see different color...Bonnie - These are so cute! I see different colors than you, though. I see a lot of blue in addition to the yellow/green. Maybe what you see as purple looks blue on my 'puter? Anyway, very cute! I have to laugh at you saying there isn't much piecing here....those are pieced in my eyes! When I don't want a lot of piecing I put 4-patches with solid blocks....I guess everything is relative :-) Enjoy your day today, I know you must be loving this down-time at home.
