It has a poly batting but the top may have been made in the 40s or 50s.
Jeanelle in Lafayette, LAnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-11736507316144583532015-12-21T16:31:49.188-05:002015-12-21T16:31:49.188-05:00OH that was so nice . . . part two of the antique...OH that was so nice . . . part two of the antique quilts. I won awards for hand quilting at our local show and my friend bought it from me after the show. It was all done in blue and white.I love two colour quilts!
I am a bit behind on the mystery but will catch up in the new year. So many deadlines I set for myself for Christmas!! yikes!!Deanna Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16154397869601261568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-8567088218210039732015-12-21T05:32:31.747-05:002015-12-21T05:32:31.747-05:00I love the Appliqué Rose variation but would never...I love the Appliqué Rose variation but would never have guessed that the original colors were red and green with the still vivid cheddar. Your first picture, with the quilt hanging on a display unit, seemed very "modern" in color, almost Zen-like. I think that if I were to try to achieve the same effect, I'd use modern fabrics in the colors that this quilt now exhibits. It really is beautiful.
Alice Kanenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-63321990979209160692015-12-21T03:58:20.668-05:002015-12-21T03:58:20.668-05:00I have been following your blog for 7 or 8 years n...I have been following your blog for 7 or 8 years now and the 2 favourite things I love to read about most are the things you have been making or the things others have been making be them new things or very old made well before we were born. (I do enjoy the albums when it's a bunch of photos from a workshop! Don't always need comments for all those photos. Always love to see the different variations on colors that people use.) Enjoy that sweet 'new' machine!Sally Langston Warrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08947024909324503884noreply@blogger.com
