We planned something good to eat and drink and had a lovely time. We had stacked enchiladas and watched the movie version of Hamilton on TV. We had cosmopolitan cocktails to welcome the new year. Today we had something good to eat and worked on taking down the Christmas decorations while watching football and movies. Not much sewing going on but that will change in the days to come. I have skipped the current mystery but am deep into Old Tobacco Road. I LOVE the Winter Blues quilt. I realized that I have a bunch of blocks made by a Pam Buda pattern that will work as Block B in a scrappy quilt. I think I may have found how I am going to use that stash of little blocks. We had a small party in our group of 30. We ordered individual pizza’s and then we played games. Charades, and Corn Hole, by light. Then just before 10 PM we were all given throw away gloves and we were able to shake hands at 10, something none of us had done in months. That was our midnight! This was all held outside in the fresh air and we all social distanced. HAPPY NEW YEAR BONNIE! I love you blogs each day...... You are how I start my day and most of the time with smiles on my face. We did make it to midnight, kissed it in and then I started the new year right by reading for a while before going to sleep. 🤓 Today we are sharing a meal with our bubbled son, DIL & grands who live nearby here at our house. The turkey is cooking and the house smells delicious. Made the pies yesterday so it’s a pretty easy and lovely first day of 2022. Tonight will have a glass of bubbly to welcome in the New Year with the hope that it will be a new beginning. Maybe finish the last few pieces of Clue 4 and start Clue 5. Tomorrow will be another SSDD (same stuff, different day) except for working on Clue 5. Hope to finish so I can work on 6. Fireworks are stating as people start celebrating.
