The builder had put it up and didn't put enought primer on the wall first so it was really hard to get off. I tried all the "chemicals" and other tips but in the end the hot steam did the best job and no damage.

The quilt looks wonderful of course!

SioYankeeQuilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03324287185970922332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1168903476769447742007-01-15T18:24:00.000-05:002007-01-15T18:24:00.000-05:00The star quilt looks great... you really did a won...The star quilt looks great... you really did a wonderful job in putting all the blocks together into a harmonious whole.

And congrats on trimming down your stash and getting rid of a cabinet! What ever happened to the place where you used to have it... where the baseboard was pulling away from the floor? Did it come back into place when you moved the fabric?ForestJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05536396154296555583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1168815874738498882007-01-14T18:04:00.000-05:002007-01-14T18:04:00.000-05:00Wonderful quilting Bonnie, I'm always so impressed...Wonderful quilting Bonnie, I'm always so impressed by what you do. You really do run circles around us all! I love how the borders work for those quilts and the words are so fun to read! The quilting worked very well to tie all the colors together and get the movement of the quilt...good job choosing!

Finally congrats on getting one cabinet cleaned out and out of the room. That's a huge accomplishment because I have a cabinet liek that and I know how much I have stuffed inside of it...there's tons in just one of those. SO think of how much fabric you were able to use up in great quilts! Job done very well!Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14059454522337423829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1168797385541784802007-01-14T12:56:00.000-05:002007-01-14T12:56:00.000-05:00That quilt is looking great! So instead of gluing them on, she staples them into place. When she wants a new look, she just uses a staple remover and voila! Then she staples the new one. She keeps the old ones in case she wants to go back to them, knowing that the store probably wouldn't have any more of what she liked.
So, there's an idea for after you get this old stuff off or even staple the new one over it.
Hope it helps.Eileenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11791592886458322904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1168791737768561362007-01-14T11:22:00.000-05:002007-01-14T11:22:00.000-05:00Oh I like the look of it so far! She told me that they used Pinesole to remove stubbern wall paper!

I had never heard of this before but she said her dh used a paint roller and soaked it on the walls really good and it made it so easy to remove. Might be worth a try, she said it worked great - and the bonus would be that your walls would be very clean and smell good :C) Good luck. ~Bonniebingo~bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04591187786013490106noreply@blogger.com
