Happy Monday, folks!
I hope your weekend was as productive and memory-making as ours was.
There was a veritable hive of creativity happening in the Quilting Quarters - everywhere you turned there was something in progress.
I was also lucky enough to have son Jeff and grandson Casden coe by yesterday - Jeff applied a couple of coats of poly to the new wooden cat house in preparation for winter coming. It's airing out in the garage while the cats don't need it quite yet.
Casden loves meeting with the ladies and is always up for offers of snacks and meals! (I don't blame him!)
Another lovely walk was had on Saturday morning!
The sound of the creek is balm to my soul!
And yes - some of the leaves are turning - so it is time for some of this:
Lu's Appalachian Autumn is coming along!
This gets me in the mood for some fall decorating to come!
Each time I came through the room, more of it was together -
Isn't it fabulous?
If you've started this one, but not finished it yet - maybe it's time to celebrate the change of seasons to come and get it out and work on it a bit!
Karen #1 was up to the borders when I came through -
And Tada!
Karen #2 has been cranking out more Monkey Business blocks!
So cute and scrappy!
Bonita was working away with the machine quilting on her Log Cabin quilt.
*helpful hint* The local quilt shop didn't have machine quilting gloves in stock - so she wandered off to the garden center at Walmart and picked up a pair of rubber-palm gardening gloves and they really helped her keep a grip on things. If you get them so they fit snuggly, you'll do just fine!
Something very Ohio State happening here!
Emerald City from String Frenzy is underway!
And we have a Patches & Pinwheels finish
On the studio side of things -
I can now see the fllor HA!
These emptied 3-drawer carts (minus wheels) held my recycled shirt strip stash - one for neutrals, one for colors. But that system no longer served me - everything was all mushed together and wrinkled and twisted.
I spent time over the weekend ironing strips and bundling them up the way I do my other Scrap User's System strips. I'm waiting for more bins to go in the new cubbies to house them - neutrals in one bin, and colors in the other.
The neutral fat quarters and half yards are now stored in them instead!
The tub on the top is weird sort of neutral but not really pieces that I don't know what to do with. They will likely become a scrappy backing - a great way to sew down the stash and make the back as interesting as the front.
Evening hexie stitching continues - this is where I left things last night.
We are still enjoying Sullivan's Crossing - and since Hubster Dave seems to be okay with this kind of drama genre, I have now got him started on Virgin River which I am happy to watch again.
I'm glad for the break in cop/fbi/secret agent/ blow-everything-up kind of intense drama.
And did you Downton Fans see that the next-last movie is coming out September 12th? I can't wait - but will have to since that's the day I head to Germany/Switzerland/France!
That trip is sold out - but come join me on future trips! Morocco is beckoning! More info HERE.
I am so thrilled with the response to the Abundance pattern release!
I can't wait to see these blocks popping up as you share what you are making.

Have you watched Sweet Magnolias on Netflix yet? It’s in the same genre as Virgin River and Sullivan’s Crossing. I’ve enjoyed all of those. And they all have new seasons coming. My happy thing today-lunch out and a couple errands in much cooler weather. Sue
I’ve been using garden gloves for years when quilting. They are essentially the same thing. I lave that patches and pinwheels, what a great way to use up four patches made from leaders and Enders. FranSak
Maybe you'll be lucky Bonnie & they'll show the Downton Abbey movie on your flight ✈️ that would be a bonus. Loved all the yummy quilts in progress & your progress in the QPO is also inspiring. I get you blog late, late at night, now it is 12.30qm Tues. I'm off to sleep
