This is my new favorite shirt. I'm fickle. Favorites can switch in and out easily, but this one - nailed it!
It was an impulse buy that I don't regret - you can find yours HERE.
The only thing I had trouble with was discerning what a color was by the description - the colors are listed, but not shown in actuality so I flipped through the catalogue to see what the colors could possibly look like.
This was listed as "peach" but it's really a beige-y pink. I'm good with it!
I know I said I was going back to the Winter Cardinal project - and I meant to....but...there was all of this stuff around my sewing machine that needed to be cleaned up first - and if I just sewed the scraps to the paper instead of tossing them in the bin I could do two things at once? Clean up? and make a block at the same time?

And it took about an hour for each clip to upload - my internet here is so slow which is why I can't do a live QuiltCam anymore, but I can do small things once in a while.
And those strings are going into something super fun!

Answers to questions I know are coming -because they came yesterday.
I drew the pineapple block on my computer and printed it the size that I wanted it to be.
The PDF pattern for the pineapple won't come out until I finish the quilt (at some far distant date as yet to be seen) Block sizes and more will be published at that time.
It is not the same as the Pineapple Crazy block from String Fling, but that would work in black and whites, too.
I'm not working with specific strip widths - just anything wider than where they need to go in the block.
I didn't measure the width of the finished strips - I printed by block size.
I'm printing on printable newsprint available in the Quilting All the Time category of the Quiltville Amazon Affiliate Store.

I did eventually get to some Winter Cardinal blocks - and those will be up on deck today as well. The black/neutral strings are tucked away for now, but I know they'll be back out soon.
It's a good thing that they are tucked away - I've got other things on the front burners, including getting Friday's Indigo Way Part Four ready for you!

I have all 3 clues done, I've done some machine embroidery, finished a separate quilt top --- taking hubby to a test today -- not sure if I'll make it to the store or not.
No one coming for Christmas - just enjoying Christmas with our neighbors at our park.
Today is floor cleaning day followed by a monthly Caregivers Support meeting this afternoon. I did manage to get in about 45 minutes of sewing before taking the dog for a 2.5 mile walk this morning which is all I can hope for at this time in my life (and my mother's). Love those B&W pineapples!
That pineapple will be spectacular. I ordered the t-shirt right away for my sister- she will laugh!! I am really hoping to layout my Christmas quilt for pinning today. Also have a gift for my daughter that's giving me fits.
I need to be quilting a top that has had my frame occupied since July. It was giving me grief then, and I’ve been avoiding it since. So, earlier, I promised myself that I would get it done this week! But, the squirrels at my house took over too. I drug out my crumb blocks and decided to make a lap quilt. So, I’ve been fretting about sashing colors. Quilting is not supposed to be a stressful activity! However, I WILL either get my top quilted this week, or hand baste it and take it off the frame. It is holding up all quilting progress and I can’t even get my machine off the frame to take it in for service. Something’s gotta give! Hope your week of activity brings you joy!
Today I plan on loading a backing for Allietare on the longarm, and putting the binding on my red truck quilt.
Your string quilt inspired me. I spent a rainy Sunday watching football and sewing strings. I got 24 6" blocks ready to press and square up. Only problem, the string pile looks bigger than when I started :( Love the shirt too.

My main goal for later today before our guild meeting, is to begin some repairs on an old quilt that needs to be done by next week. currently, however, I am spending time with my three month old grandson.
I am almost done with clue 2. No sewing today. I have to make a pineapple upside down cake, sour cream enchiladas, Spanish rice, refried beans, and guacamole for my son's birthday today. I like any little video you make. Still miss the quilt cams. Thank you for all you share. Merry Christmas!

Coming round the bend on getting 25 Star of Hope blocks complete today. My leader ender project is turning into 16 patch blocks. I started with 2” squares. Then into the stash of fabric for a quilt of Valor for a friend with Indigo Way Mystery. Maybe I’ll squirrel into some Christmas napkins for my neighbor - the electrician who fixed my bathroom heater yesterday. May your day be blessed. 💜 Katie

First DO NOT APOLOGIZE for your video editing. I just love seeing what you are doing and do not care that its not perfectly orchestrated. Its QUILTING! Quilting is messy business! Second, What I am doing today is sitting at work anxiously awaiting the time to go home so I can work on The Mystery Quilt. Clue 2 is half complete and Clue 3 is cut out/kitted up. I plan to sew #2 and use 3 Leader/Ender style. And hopefully end up with it mostly done by Thursday bedtime! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the projects you've got going on. It feels so normal :)
yes deep into xmas prep. we have our family xmas this weekend. Saturday is what we call big family xmas. which is with all family members that can come and on Sunday we do immediate family xmas so fun make everyones favorite finger food. I have 1 quilt left to quilt that is tomorrows job. hubby has most of the candy is made just carmel corn left to make I have caramels to cut and wrap and 2 batches of chocolate fudge to cut up
Ah, my quilty friends are gathering together to celebrate Christmas and our friendship with a luncheon today. We've been doing it for at least 10 years. So not likely to be sewing today, as I have a meeting this evening. We are in the cold and dark here in Alaska, so lots of quilting time.
Sewing room time for me today to work on two “squirrel” ideas and then attempt to finish last borders and cornerstones on a big queen quilt.
Havent even started the mystery quilt yet. Why? Quiltmaker came in the mail. Really cute block and fun ( in my opion). Got enough blocks to make a quilt top ( Sleep in Heavenly Peace) So after I get cookies baked, off to my sewing room I go!
I planned on sewing today. I decided to make the Seven Sisters quilt larger. Now I have to make many more blocks. But the quilt will be for my daughter, so I don't mind. At least the pressure is off as it doesn't have to be done before Christmas. So instead of sewing I am sitting waiting for a bank rep.to take to me. I am the executor of a small estate and have to close out one account and open up another. I am glad I put my estate in a trust so at least my daughters don't have to get through this arduous mess. I do hope to get at least a couple of hours of sewing in today.

It's a Dr appointment, pick up picture Christmas Cards and Hand Stitching Day then Quilt Guild Potluck tonight. Whew, can I cram it all in? Gotta make cookies and a side dish. I got 2 gifts quilted yesterday. 5 more to go. Then the wrapping. Have fun AD/HD-ing.
Having a bad time with a pattern I really "thought" I liked. I still like the look of the pattern but for some unknown reason--possibly a new foot I bought last month?-- my parts aren't fitting well and I'm very frustrated. I plan to finish it up before Christmas and move on to something else. The interesting part: I'm starting to use the scrap users system. Those odds and ends are looking wonderful! I don't know where they are going but it's so much more fun than just sewing a scrap over and over between blocks.

Loved seeing your videos--wish I could sew as fast as you!! I've been spending a lot of time making 5 Quilts of Valor. All 5 are now with the LAQ--but will be returned for binding. Put some tortellini soup on in the crockpot this morning for supper. finished my Christmas shopping yesterday and bought groceries so I can make some Christmas goodies. We are supposed to have 3 rainy days here in Texas so I plan to have lots of fun time finishing Clue 3. I am also fmq a pineapple table runner. Have an awesome day Bonnie. You are a jewel!

Went to hair appointment: “ due to circumstances beyond our control, unable……”, so came home & started labeling shelf, grouping purchased gifts. Time out for biscotti.
I'll be working on my Indigo Way blocks today. I'm over halfway finished with Part 2 and Part 3. I was excited to start Part 3 when it came out so I'm going to finish it before going back to Part 2. I finished sewing/quilting 4 Christmas Tree quilts last week--3 for our grown children and their families, and 1 for hubby/me. Now I can relax and squirrel away working on other projects that I have started. Love the pineapple blocks!
i've been stuck in a no-sew rut for awhile - tried to bust out of it by starting some uninspired quilting on an old top just to get it off the shelves, but as you might imagine, that was not quite the pick-me-up I was hoping for, lol! May just fiddle with some new blocks sometime this week, see if I can't spark some interest again...or just let it rest awhile longer.
I'm working on the 1st of 3 memory quilts from my brother-in-laws plaid shirts. Thankfully, they are not planned to be Christmas gifts. I decided last week to start on Part 1 of Winding Way as my leaders and enders for this 1st memory quilt. I'll probably cut out Part 2 by the end of the week and use it as a leader and ender for the next quilt top. All 3 quilts are being made with 6" HST of light and dark, but I'm planning on different layouts.
Hopefully I'll get the 10 Charity quilts finished for the church. I'm about half way. Only have one left to pin then the quilting starts (sitd). Since Covid our group had decreased so much and in order to get all that need to be done, I started bringing matched sets home to quilt. :-)
Give me something to do other than just sit around all day doing nothing.

Sewing with our local Quilt of Valor group earlier today. Going to my studio later to get cracking on a Christmas gift that needs to be done! Luckily it has a panel as the main focus, so I only have to add borders for the top. Love your creativity! Catherine in SW Indiana
Am slowly working my way through clue 3. Back trouble is getting in the way. Only doing 1/4 of the units to save my back. So far loving it. All paper pieced. The way to go.
I had 2 quilty friends over this afternoon. Baked some Italian cookies to serve them as well as gift them. Tonight will work on clue 3 having shopped yesterday for fabric to add variety.

Making crockpot candy
I’m super busy this week since it is the week before school break. The life of a school principal is hard, so quilting is how I relax. I hope to catch up on Indigo Way during break. It is stretching my skills. I will be starting a version of pineapple blocks soon.
Made four quilts for daughters and daughters-in-law and am almost done knitting 20 pairs of slippers for grandkids and spouses. Now I have to figure out what to get hubby for Christmas!
So had to slow down. Some bug overtook my body. Slightly better this morning, but so much to do. My stitching fingers need to get back to it.
Tonight, instead of a regular 7pm Advent Midweek service (I'm the organist, DH is the pastor), we're starting at 5:15 with a focus on families with children, and including a supper of soup and hotdogs and then a Graham Cracker Nativity Scene (think Gingerbread house) as well as a service, and it's my job to organize it all and make the food. Lots of time to pull it all off, but this is a repeat from last year and will be so much fun!
I'm still working on my Star of Hope. I bought the Silk Path pattern and plan to start that next. I have the material for Indigo Way as my Christmas present and am collecting the patterns as they come. I am back to using paper piecing. I love that it keeps my sewing neater. I usually follow Jenny at Missouri Star, but it looks like I am on a Bonnie Hunter kick. Thanks for all you share in your blogs. My dream is to be added to a group in the fall at a quilt retreat and then go on your Iceland tour in 2025.
Whoa! Those blocks exude nuclear energy. First thought that popped into my mind is frenetically spinning LPs. An entire quilt will be mesmerizing.
