The house is quiet.
Everyone headed out yesterday morning to make their ways home.
Can you believe that even the fall decor was packed away, and holiday fare is taking its place?
There was no time like the present - and only one day to get started - on switching things over for the last retreat group of our 4th Quiltville Inn retreat season taking place the first weekend of December just a few weeks away.
But I'm getting ahead of myself - there was so much retreat fun to be had while we were still enjoying early November!
Each group comes with their own traditions.
They plot and they plan and they talk all year long about what they are going to do and how.
This year? They got a bonus. Because it was in the 60s out. Not raining and freezing as it has been in years past, and they got to spend time on the back porch instead of being holed up inside.
Come on, doubles!
Another raucous round of cut-throat saran ball!
Just what goodies lie beneath the surface?
Hurry hurry before the next person rolls doubles and it becomes their turn to find out!

Not to worry - we saved the unwrapped Saran to add to the next game, next retreat!
What a beautiful day for a quilt display!
Double wedding ring gorgeousness, Emerald City (Ruby Slippers) from String Frenzy, a pretty star quilt, and oh.....they thought it would be funny to put MY Silk Path over the rail. LOL!
A quilt top made from uniforms with embroidered dates and places, Boxy Bow Ties, a Scrappy Trips from the Free Patterns tab and a lovely Cherry Crunch made by Flat Karen who wasn't able to be with us this year, but got her quilt photo over the rail anyway!
Thank you everyone! It was so great having you here -
And because folks have been asking about Ivy - yes, she is fine and dandy. Sometimes inside, mostly outside. She just prefers it (Because there is no Lola outside.)
She loves her dogs!
Sometimes you've just gotta do what you've gotta do and even when we bring her in she runs right to the back door and begs to be let out.
They'll be in good hands while I'm gone. Tula, Ivy, Lola, Zoey, Mabel are well cared for.
The haircut turned out great.
I got as many orders filled as I can, the rest will wait until I am back next week.
I'll post when I can, but I know you'll understand if I miss a day or two.
I'm bringing hexies.
I packed sandals!!
Arizona awaits.
I want to thank everyone for diving into Silk Path with me!

This is a small shop in Louisville, Kentucky who is just celebrating their one year anniversary.
We are a rather large global quilting community and have descended upon them like locusts. That can be a good thing and a bad thing.
Let's show some support and cut them some slack if things are currently out, and check back often to see if more has been added.

When I saw your quilt up there (thinking someone made it already) I thought WOW! how is that even possible?? Lol
All these quilts are beautiful. The double wedding ring is gorgeous! My mom made one for my dad and I have it now. Hangs beautifully over my banister!! And the one made out of uniforms. My son retires (supposedly) next November from 20+ years in the Army…..just maybe!! Enjoy Arizona! My son is also in Phoenix. I sure didn’t envy their 115 temps this summer. Prayers for your travels and time with your Dad. God bless!
