Sew-Alongs! New Pattern Releases & Gift-Aways!
Winter Mystery info post coming out in less than a week -
It's chaos over here, but I can't hold these back from you any longer - they are far too cute and I know you are going to want them!
I love these boxes - I've stored everything inside them from cut up block pieces to sewing notions -
You know I transport projects-in-progress back and forth from home to QPO studio and these boxes are just about the right size for everything -
I'm currently using two of the boxes for my EPP hexie project. It's time to add some of the neutrals around the units that I've been stitching on long flights and over-seas adventures.
Just look at those 9 stacks of 2'' squares and how nice they fit - and yes, the box is deep enough that my spool of thread doesn't keep the lid from closing.
I'm going to need a whole lot of neutral hexies -
But I'm ready!
(Okay, the new sewing machine box is my favorite!)
They fit the blocks for my still-to-be-named 1930s signature block quilt!
These 7inch x 7inch x 1.5" clear plastic boxes hold 6 1/2" quilt squares perfectly.
Not a quilter? That's OK. These boxes are very versatile and can be used in lots of different ways!
*Little treats and goodies
*Pictures, scrapbooking, quilting.....any crafting supplies
*Make up and toiletries
*snacks
*Office supplies
*Jewelry
*Makes a great gift!
I have two more holding the blocks for our current Star of Hope Sew-Along.
Don't forget - Part 2 with the alternate block releases on MONDAY 10/30/23!
Where is Summit St. Shop?
In Webberville, Michigan!
They have refurbished the cutest old church into a wonderful gift shop full of home decor, fabric pre-cuts and quilting items, and so much more. Visit their website HERE.
Get your holiday shopping well underway without even leaving your comfy chair.
If you are local - drop on by and tell them Bonnie sent you - but remember they are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Are we going to give some Summit St Boxes away? You bet we are!
I'll be drawing for 3 winners who can each pick their choice of box.
We'll draw for our 3 winners next Wednesday, 11/1/23.
Good luck everyone!
This was my big deal yesterday.
Groceries were a must - we are out of everything.
There were prescriptions to pick up and a couple of other errands that needed running.
And I stopped by Dollar Tree to pick up stemless wine glasses. We have gone through so much stemware due to use and dishwashing it just seemed futile to buy more.
And I found these! At $1.25 the price was right, and the message was cute. I was able to score 17 matching.
With the October Quiltvillians arriving today, and the November Quiltvillians right on their tail - I know they will be put to good use right away and perhaps the message will encourage every one to "Enjoy Every Moment."
I know I will!
And I'm a few steps closer to this happening FRIDAY!
Much proof reading to come. I need to make the PDFs including the pattern back pages - and get everything up into the stores. That's my goal for today.
How about your Wednesday? Anything good happening on your end?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Don’t be afraid to let yourself learn something through mistakes!
Have a great Wednesday, everyone -

Those boxes look wonderful! My fav block sizes these days seem mostly to finish at either 5" or 6" using base 1" grid and 1 1/2" strips and squares. Been using Bonnie's scrap saver system and handy triangle cutting ruler for last few years and love it. Creating scrappy blocks has never been easier since leftovers that are smaller than a FQ get cut into 2 1/2" and 1 1/2" strips and squares as I finish cutting with that bit of fabric and go into the appropriate drawer of my "paintbox" cart. So looking forward to opening my drawers of blues and creams once "Silk Path" gets released.
I live a little over an hour from Webberville. Road trip!
Today is my "It's Sew Wednesday" friendship group at my community clubhouse!!

Those little boxes are sooo cute!! Today we are just trying to make it through so I can get home and do some practice sewing on my log cabin blocks. It's been so long since I have done one that I have actually forgotten how to do one!! HAHA!
