Monkey Business & Bear Branch Gift-Away!

We made it! I wasn't sure we would, but we did!

I usually shoot for the middle of the month when it comes to pattern release dates - the first of the month is usually too full of other things and I like to spread it out just a bit and give us something to look forward to.

Has it been a month since the release of Cabin Corners?  Yes it has!  And I am loving seeing your blocks pop up now and again through social media.  Keep sharing them!

Now that we've reached the middle of March - it's time for some Monkey Business and Bear Branch fun of our own!

You watched me make these blocks all winter long - I had so much fun stitching up small scraps - each block is different.  There are no repeats!

I used strips from my Scrap User's System and my Essential Triangle Tool to make the half-square triangle units quickly and efficiently - I love the accuracy!

The setting is what gives this favorite traditional block a real punch!

Just the right borders from the stash!

Quilting adds just the right texture!

Some of these fabrics are decades old - and they are so fun here!

I quilted Monkey Business in a sand colored thread in an edge-to-edge design called Frisky Feathers by Hermione Agee of LorienQuilting.com.

Are you ready for some Monkey Business?

If this is your first time downloading digital patterns from my store to a computer click HERE.

If you intend to download to an iPhone/iPad click HERE.

Monkey See, Monkey Do!

Everyone has a favorite quilt block, and Monkey Wrench is one of mine! Attack your scraps and make a huge dent with fun little blocks in a wide variety of colors to bring on some happy dancing! There’s Monkey Business happening in your sewing space!

Quilt Size: 76’’ X 83 1/2’’Bear Branch is also ready for you to download!

Scraps a Plenty!

Take a hike down Bear Branch Road with me, pulling together your favorite browns, aquas and turquoises along with a plethora of neutrals for extra scrap using fun! 10+ pages of full color instruction and optional unit methods so you can make it your way! Also included: Second color option to support Ukraine.

Quilt Size: 78’’ X 78’’

Mix up those lighter neutrals with some toasty ones!

Pull in your browns from dark chocolate to rust.

Aquas and turquoises play together in all shades.

If you played along during our Rhododendron Trail mystery, you already know how to cut hourglass units from strips using my Essential Triangle Tool.

You are already several steps ahead of the piecing game!

Of course, traditional rotary cutting directions are also provided, and you can use any method you choose to make these units.  Just keep in mind the unfinished and finished sizes.  I give you both!

I love these blocks with the little pop of aqua in there!

And because pressing DOES matter, directions for pressing are included for maximum success.

The Ohio Stars just took my breath away!

I quilted Bear Branch in sand colored thread in an edge-to-edge design called Arcadia by Patricia E. Ritter of UrbanElementz.com.

As a bonus:

If you are sewing in the colors of the Ukrainian flag - I have included a full page graphic of Bear Branch worked up in blue and yellow instead of brown and turquoise.

The patterns for Monkey Business and Bear Branch are both marked 25% off in the digital pattern section of the Quiltville Store.  No coupon needed.

Save even more with the Monkey Business & Bear Branch Pattern Bundle, only available for a limited time, through 3/31/22.

And for my Etsy lovers - I'm trying something new.

I have started a digital pattern shop on Etsy, mirroring the digital patterns available in the Quiltville Store.  Not everything is available yet.  I've just placed a dozen of the most recent PDF patterns there to see how it would go.

I am doing this specifically for those who are familiar with and who like the way PDF patterns are delivered through Etsy.

Visit the Quiltville Etsy Store.

If there isn't enough traffic, I will likely discontinue that venue, but I thought it was worth a try.

Rulers, notions, tools and books will ONLY be available in the Quiltville Store.  Etsy is for digital patterns only.

How about we do a little Gift-Away??

I will be drawing for TWO winners who will each receive the Monkey Business & Bear Branch Pattern Bundle with one winner receiving a Facets of Brown Color Roll, and the second receiving a Facets of Aqua color roll from Cotton to Quilts!

Winner must have fabric prize shipped to a USA address.  If you are outside of the USA, we can send it to a friend within the USA who can forward it on to you.

We will draw for our two winners on Saturday, 3/26/22.

Good luck, everyone!

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Quiet the noise in your head, and listen to your heart.
What is it telling you?
Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!
