All things scrappy, bright and cheery!
12 machines humming away, 12 quilters chatting up a storm and design walls full of inspiration - everywhere you look!
The November Quiltvillians are having a ball - and their excitement is contagious!
There is a very scrappy 16 patch going on one half of this design wall, and the other shows a Bitcoin quilt under way.
Everywhere I look there is something to catch my eye!
Jamestown Landing in progress on this side of the room -
Ands another on an opposite wall -
Great minds think alike!
The pattern for Jamestown Landing is in my book String Fling. Have you started this one too? It's time to pull it back out and make some progress!
Allietare in gorgeous greens and purples. Ooooh!
There is a whole lot of fun happening in this corner!
Grassy Creek is growing in this corner! Lovely!
There have been several top finishes -
This one is so much fun and is going to be donated in honor of a friend who loved Las Vegas. What a great way to honor her.
That double Charlie Brown stripe is so captivating. Someone is really going to love this quilt.
I finished this job for my Triplet blocks!
(Block info under the Addicted to Scraps column above)
Friday unfolded into a gorgeous afternoon, and by the time 3:30pm had rolled around, there were only 2 quilters left quilting in the Quilting Quarters - I could smell the chili gently simmering in the crock pot, the enticing aroma wafting from the kitchen.
7 had taken a road trip to Wytheville for some quilt shop wandering, and a few others had gone down to Round House Road to walk along the river.
All was well, and I was hammered for the day - so I headed home.
Some rest time, some dinner time, some tv time with binding - topped off with a bit of chocolate ice cream for dessert to go with the tv watching, and off to bed.
This morning - 7am. Still dark. I told myself this is the LAST morning that it will be that dark at 7am.
Time change tonight for those states that do the time change.
"Fall back" used to be a favorite when I was a teenager. I could never get enough sleep. Now it is a struggle not to wake up at the same time, with the clock readying 5am instead of 6am with a groan.
But I'm looking forward to the mornings being a bit lighter and brighter from here on out.
As we go into Saturday - can you guess what is next?
It's October Quilty Box Gift-Away drawing time!

As I type this, the sun is (finally) rising over the mountain ridges and it promises to be another stunning day!
I can't wait to see what the November Quiltvillians are up to!
How about your own weekend? Any plans for anything fun?
I have placed the printable PDF pattern for Pine Tree Point at 25% off - only $9.00 in the digital pattern section of the Quiltville Store. Sale price good through 11/24/21 when it will return to full price at $12.00. No coupon code required.
I made the runner in blue, too! Good for having out all winter long!
Letting go has always been difficult for me, but I'm doing it.
Sometimes it is harder to move on than to stay put and just deal, but you have to KNOW when it is time to make the choice and do it.
So many lessons!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Sew much fun happening! Today I'm sewing with friends. Love the Bit Coin. I'm using it as my leader and ender, but it's REALLY hard not to make it my main project :-)
Going back this morning for the second of a 2 Day mini retreat. It is our guilds "Let's get back together after COVID" retreat. We had a lot of fun yesterday. I finished the top of a 3 Yard Quilt for our Kid's Quilt Charity. Going to border it this morning and get it ready to be quilted. Have a great weekend.
Anyone else doing Bonnie's friend Gudrun Erla's Phoenix Quilt Along today? Headed downstairs to finish cutting it out now.
Lots of beautiful quilts. I'm plugging away on My Blue Heaven still.
It was 24* here last night in western Ma. 50* day. not too bad. Looking forward to black Friday.

Anybody know the name of the Casino/Chevron quilt?
A short Roadtip this morning then it's prepping time for Sunday. I sorted through 7 boxes of Fabric to donate at my 2 Quilt Guilds. Had to see if any of the Mystery colors were there. Getting excited for After Thanksgiving. The day this year falls on our 45th Anniversary. Happy Saturday!
My happy place would be in that fun corner.
What a wonderful array of projects in the works!!
Happy Anniversary and best wishes for Many more.
Great projects! I hate this time change. I wish they would just let it alone. It will eventually even out and start the process over. Everyone loves the changes for different reasons and so do the ones the hate it. Everyone enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Lots of fun stuff posted in the Quiltville Inn. I Loved the Allietare and Jamestown Landing. Congratulations to the winner of the Quilty Box. It will be a fun box to have. I have yto finish cleaning and organizing the garage and greenhouse, then I can settle in and concentrate on sewing and quilting for the winter. I am looking forward to my getting my Long Arm going! In the meantime I have two more quilt tops to finish and a wallet to make this next week. Then I will try to wait patiently for "Rhododendron Trail" to start! I am changing the colors a bit, but SO Looking forward to it! Thank You Bonnie!

Pattern is Arctic Flame by Villa Rosa Designs. Great pattern to show case large prints you don't want to cut up or small panel boxes.
A really fast moving quilt, I made all but one Phoenix block with very scrappy colors in browns and greens. Now to layout and adjust if necessary as we await the ‘Mystery’!
Love the colors in the Grassy Creek quilt. The pattern hadn't appealed to me before this, now I'm putting it on my list (a very long list). Christmas sewing has to come before anything else. I have been sorting flannel fabric all day and just noticed a couple more boxes to look thru. Tomorrow. Could I make the Rhododendron Trail in flannel?
