Good Morning, Quiltvillians!
Can you believe how quickly August is passing us by?
The August Quilty Box arrived on my doorstep a couple of days ago and the voice inside my head was saying things like "Wait! Didn't we just give away the July box??"
And then the other goodie loving voice that also lives inside my head was saying "Yay! Bring it on!"
The end of summer for me is always a bit bittersweet. I love the warmer months even when it is hot topped with 85% humidity -
And the theme of this box will keep me focused on and enjoying that last bit of summer - for that much longer.
It all starts with the fabric!
And this scrap lovin' girl is over the moon that the August Quilty Box contains a whole charm pack of nothing but neutrals by Windham! So many prints, from so many different fabric lines - this is right up my alley!
The other charm pack includes bright prints and solids in the Solstice & Solids line by this month's featured artist, Sally Kelly - perfect for making the featured quilt from the Bundles of Inspiration Magazine - Summer Solstice Beach Balls!
Also included in the August Quilty Box:
SewTites Sample Pack,
Aurifil thread
Summer Solstice Beach Balls acrylic template
Quilt label by Jammin Threads.
I enjoyed the article about Sally Kelly, this month's featured artist! I know you are going to love reading about her and her fabric design life as well.

Ordinary moments from my yesterday while getting ready for the Stitch Mob girls to arrive -
The beep beep beep of the propane truck backing up brought me out of the QPO studio -
Good to know we have our propane topped off so we are ready for cooler colder months ahead (the stove, water heaters and fireplaces also run on propane!)
The loads of towels were washed, dried and folded just in time!
The ladies started arriving around 3pm and the house was bustling with happy quilters once again - it was a quick one-day turn around!
This binding was finished last night -
Feet up in the recliner!
How are the fur babies loving the new couch situation?
Zoey wants her side reclined too! LOL!
And Ivy still supervises every stitch!
This morning I've got some ladies who love to walk - so we'll be heading down to Round House Road to see what is going on there.
And one of our gals is celebrating a birthday today while on retreat - so I know there is much fun in store for that.
How about your own Thursday ahead? Anything fun going on for you?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Just in case you were wondering-
YES, the world DOES need that one of a kind you that you are!
Happy Thursday, folks!

I am several thousand miles away across the ocean, but similarly the beep beep of the propane gaz tanker alerted me yesterday morning as it backed up to our gates. We will be warm and toasty again this winter! Now working on putting together tulip time with the sashing as all blocks done. Yay!
I just wanted to say that I love hearing about the quilters on retreat each week. So much in common, yet each group is unique. So much creativity too.
As always, I so enjoy the quote. Have a fun week with the retreaters!
Just checking to see if this will post. I have not been able to post consistently for MONTHS. Not sure what is up with that as I can post on other blogs. Will keep trying.
I have SEVERAL (multiple, not just 2) of your quilts in progress. Need to just finish up a few of them. Love your quote of the day. It reminds us that we all matter👍👍. We all need to hear that when we are feeling a little blue.
No stitching will happen for me today. But that is okay! My wonderful daughter is visiting me this week and today is her birthday! Lots of celebrating going on over here!
Love your quote today! Thank you for all you do and share with us on your blog!

We get to take a Birthday girl to lunch after turning in my quilts at the Fair. Busy as ever. Gotta get my stitching on next week. Less than 60 days til my sons wedding. Thanks for sharing. This quilty box would be fun!!
It brought tears today, who knew?
Hi Bonnie:
No Beep Beep Beep of the propane truck till next summer anyway. I called them a few months ago, as I thought I was down to the 30% level, when I was only a little below 80%. They came while I was gone, didn't put any in, and left note. I finally got to the bottom of it a couple weeks ago. My whole house generator is the only thing that runs on Propane, but it is important to have the tank filled for that. I want it to be able to work when I need it.
No stitching for me today, but I have lots to try and put away from my trip to Wasilla last week. I will call to try and get borders for a Whispering Pines Log Cabin today.

I'm back!!! My computer has been on the Fritz for the past 3 weeks and one thing after another stalled the return! Love today's quote... I've missed quips & snips and all the wonderful happy support and Bonnie, oh Bonnie! You updated your photo! I too have cut my hair shorter...lovin' it a lot... I hope I got entered in the give aways, else i'll have to purchase yet another pattern... I'm one backing put together away from unearthing Appalachian Autumn and finishing her!!! Hugs all around, i'll be getting back to the rhythm of my quilting life now I have my computer back... I was amazed and a little guilty feeling, discovering how addicted I had become!! Hugs...
Hi Bonnie, love your quote and the towel baskets. From across the ocean: happy quilting everyone.
I'm so envious of you going into winter, we are heading for a hot summer if today is any indication. It is 35 degrees Celsius here and a very hot berg wind today. I live on the East Coast of South Africa where it is very humid in the summer, so winter has always been my favourite season. My partner has been so amazing, put a huge wall fan in my sewing room. I have to put a weight on some of my pieces, but I am so thankful and there will be no complaining from me. Enjoy your winter ladies
Wondering if you were ok. Love my Bonnie reads and missed your comments as well you always put a smile on my face.
