This month’s box is curated by none other than Laura Heine and features the beautiful Potpourri fabric bundle by Windham.
I don’t know how things are where you are, but here in Southwestern Virginia it has been raining and chilly for days on end – and it is supposed to continue into the weekend.
Seeing these beautiful soft pastels (especially the hydrangea blue!) brought our missing springtime right to my fingertips in fabric form.
And this box can be yours, too!
Here are some highlights to keep in mind:
- Quilty Box is a monthly subscription box of fun quilting supplies. We offer plans from $44-48/mo.
- 5% of the profits of multi-month subscriptions are donated to Quilts for Kids - a non-profit which donates quilts for children in need
- Each month we have 4 or more products (fabric, patterns, thread, or notions)
- Our retail value of the products in the box is always more than $60
- We will be using the hashtags #QuiltyBox and #GetQuilty
Beautiful florals, dragonflies and text prints!
I am absolutely over the moon with the abundance of neutrals in different shades – those are always SO NEEDED! And that hydrangea blue textural print – ooooh!
Laura has this to say about her Potpourri line:
“Potpourri uses my signature palette which I call bright pastel. The collection includes a mixture of soft floral motifs and low volume backgrounds. I love to use scripts when I collage. The script fabrics in this collection are great to mix and match or can be used as blenders! Make what you love with this collection. It is perfect for the classic quilter as well as the collage quilter. Potpourri is a fun collection of designs for your imagination!”
You can learn more about Laura and her design process in her Bundles of Inspiration magazine interview.
Other needful things!
Along with the beautiful fat quarters of Potpourri, you’ll find a spring tape measure by Clover, a container of Quilt Soap by Quilters Rule and a spool of Wonderfil thread.
Laura’s table runner pattern “Plant Things” included in the magazine!
For our EPP lovers!
Paperpieces.com has included a lovely little floral basket made of hexagons featuring Laura’s Potpourri fabric. Hexagon papers sold separately.
Another way to use your Potpourri fabric collection!
Bring on the love of half-square triangles and make Jeni Baker’s Collage Quilted Pillow.

Are you ready to win?
We will draw for our lucky winner on Monday, June 22nd!
Lola says “Good luck, everyone!”
My day included much of the above – (Oh you want that red stripe? Sorry! You’ll have to wait – this box is currently occupied!)
Along with some of this:
It’s ALL GOOD!
Everything is tip top, and no “old fillings need to be replaced.” suggestions coming from the dentist and hygienist. In and out of there in a flash after a simple tooth cleaning, which is always a bonus.
Today is a mixed bag of tricks – Housekeeper Susan is arriving at 9am (Within the hour!) to finish up on what didn’t get done Monday. Retreat guests sill start arriving late this afternoon. There is a busy weekend ahead.
This is the REAL DEAL. I am hoping that everything we learned and adjusted for last weekend falls into place with this group.
My only wish? Is that it would STOP RAINING so folks can enjoy the out of doors.
How about your Wednesday? Anything interesting going on in your neck of the woods?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
It helps us work through the issue while doing something creative, positive and giving us something to show for it.
Put it all in there, into that quilt you are working on.
Don't you wonder what our quilts would say about us if they could speak?
Have a wonderful Wednesday, folks!

Would love this box! A Laura Heine quilt is on my bucket list!
Great Pastels! Rainy day coming our way too. Happy for the Retreating Quilters headed your way! It is a covered Porch, so still time for that. Happy Father's day week to the Hero Hubster getting the water heater regulated just in time.
Today and Thursday I'm teaching my grown daughter to make her first quilt! I so love passing on what I know to future generations. I'm also going to make the label for my Unity quilt and sew it on today if all goes well. And then it will be completely done. I learned so much from this Unity QAL. It's raining here in eastern NC, too. Many blessings to you, Bonnie, and your Quiltville guests coming in.

love that antique pickle dish....
Rain is perfect for porch-sitting!
I so agree that quilting/crafting is a tool to help us relax, and get our mind on makings points and corners matched instead of the "what ifs" that then world throws at us. When I piece, appliqué, quilt, my mind is on my craft and my spirit is refreshed. I am grateful to have a hobby that takes me to a pleasant place, even if it the results are not as perfect as I would like them to be. Lola seems to have a very serious look on her face, like maybe "Don't mess with me." I wish you the very best weekend retreat, Bonnie! Thank you for all you do for us quilters.
Our grand-niece at Camp Lejeune says she's tired of flooding washing trash cans into their front yard and there's thunderstorms forecast for the next 10 days. Here, we're just real tired of the constant strong winds. I'm beginning to understand why people actually went crazy from the constant wind in pioneer days.
I have a couple of her patterns , just have to start on one! I am so excited today I just purchased a tan 221J featherweight. My 5th featherweight. I have a problem I think! We are on vacation in Oregon and it’s raining on and off, love it. Have a good day Bonnie
We’re praying for rain here in Texas. When it quit last month, the dry heat came in. Our fire department had been hopping with grass and house fires the past 2 weeks. We NEED the rain! Hope you have a great retreat weekend.
Lola: How many times have I told you? Pressing matters. ;}
Looks like Lola needs her own personal shoe box. Of course if you provided her one of her own, she would probably ignore it and use your scrap box instead. I once made a wonderful dog bed for my first pup. He would lay on the fabric while I had it on the floor to cut it out, but once it was a completed dog bed, he wouldn't go near it.
It's been hot, hot, hot here in NE Kansas. Not supposed to get a break from the nineties until the first day of summer I think. Go figure. It always amazes me the degrees of weather variation we have in these United States. Oh - and we could use some rain too. Love that you take us on your journey every day Bonnie. Thanks!
LOVE Love those 'bright pastels!" Hot, in the 90's and windy in my corner of Colorado!
So funny -- The quote you use is the one I put as my e-mail signature today - But it starts with "Worry-Free Wednesday" - My source attributed the quote to Erma Bombeck! We need some more like her in the world today! Thanks Bonnie for your generosity in sharing so much with us. Lola is a sweetheart!
We are also getting the rain here in almost northern Virginia. Cold today - wearing sweatpants! Good weather to stay inside and sew.
So happy your retreaters are back and you can move forward. I'm sure you will have fun! Have a great week/weekend. :-)
I would love to have this so I can continue to learn quilting while I'm sheltering at home!!!!!
Today is the last day of beautiful weather. Tomorrow it's back to the 90s and throw in a bit of humidity to make it unbearable. That's life in the Midwest. I'll be indoors sewing, I hope!
That fabric is lucious. Winning it would be great and finding some yardage would be even better, especially the prints with the writing. I bought some white with faint lettering in Lenexa, Ks this past weekend. During breaks in softball I explored a couple of really nice local shops.
Great gift. I would love to win. Thanks for all four hard work.i would love to meet you someday and your the inn and see the post office Thanks again Janet

Thanks Bonnie for the opportunity to enter. Lola is so cute posing in the basket. We would love to have some rain. The roots of the cotton are in dry dirt and some plants are crawling back in the ground. Time to work on a quilt and not worry! Thanks for the advice. Glad you had a happy dental visit. June
There wasn't any time for my rocking chair this Wednesday! But no worries either.
Payday, shopping with all the PPE's in place, Bill paying, Maybe I can start the Binding on that Quilt that's calling to me. on this No Worry Wednesday!
That's a whole lot of wonderful in that box!! Lola says she's just keeping you company as you prepare for retreat guests 😉🐱
Just loving those bright pastels, I must look up Laura as I’ve not heard of her and love fabric collage.
Lola is just the cutest.
Stay safe
Love and quilty hugs
Anne xx
Lola just wants someone to play with. Since weather has been cooler in South Mississippi been working in yard till found another snake skin in amongst flower bed where was pulling some potato vine out that was overtaking zinnas. Time to go inside. Can't wait to see what your weekend guests will be sewing.
Such a calming collection of fabrics!
Love to win that box! Here in central Illinois, we NEED rain badly! Supposed to this weekend. We shall see.
Lovely fabric collection, it would be great to win it.
If you get to Billings, Montana her shop is a must see! Lot's of fabric and colors that bedazzle your eyes. I have the luxury of living only 80 miles away.
This box looks so fun! would love to win :)
I've been hesitating to sign up for quilty boxes. Sure looks inviting and exciting to see the variety of the contents! Wish all a sunny day and good luck!
What a beautiful group of fabrics. I would love to win. Was so excited this week I was able to host my stitch group Cellar Dwellars for an evening of sewing, however we talked more that sewed. My husbands observation of the evening. We had not seen each other for 4 months. We had show-n-tell and lots of laughs.
Me too. I love the Quilty Box. The fabrics are so pretty.
I believe we should also be teaching our children about what the Europeans did to the Native Americans, human and otherwise.
