I finished the quilting on this quilt yesterday, that still remains NAMELESS!
Isn’t that terrible?
Usually the name for a quilt comes along during the making of it, but with this one? NADA!
I’m sure it will come to me – I’ve just had so many other things on my mind that maybe I haven’t listened to the quiet voice radiating from this wonderful mess of scraps to listen to what it wants to be called.
If this were YOUR quilt – what would YOU name it?
I look at the texture of the quilting on top of all of those little bits of memories and I just feel HAPPY!

ok i'll be first....playtime stars....reminiscent of victoria findlay wolfe's book AND bonnie hunter's love of scraps and stars!
You should name it NADA as in NADA person wouldn't love this quilt!
My first reaction and thought would be "Stripes and Stars"
Such a beauty of a quilt!!
Stars and Strips Forever
I've suggested this before, but since you asked, if this were my quilt, I'd name it "Stringin' on a Star." Now I've got Bing Crosby in my ear again! If/when I make this quilt, that will be my name for it.
How about String of Memories? And I'd love to live anywhere close to be able to take one of your classes!! Have a fantastic weekend, Bonnie.
How about Stars Galore! Happy Stitching Bonnie! Anna in TN
Scrappy Strippy Stars! Stars and Strips! Scrapbasket Stars!
Well, since you said just looking at this quilt made you happy, I say name it HAPPY STARS. Love you Bonnie. Enjoyed Quilt Cam last night. Thanks.
STAR TURN
How about sCRUMBtious memories?
I also like the "String of Memories" suggestion.
I would call it "Stripolicous".
My first thought when I saw the quilt was "Love in Action". Your quilts are always full of love and lots of action.
Claudia
I see stars and brightness: Starlight Starbright
How about Starry Strings? Have a safe trip.

Delightful Reminiscence
I commented on the facebook. I will go with Folk Stars or Appalachia Stars.
You have not used your name in any quilt name....like "Bonnie's....." Or "........a la Bonnie". This would be a good time to use your name in the title. This quilt shows your love of scrappiness, your use of crumbs and liberated piecing in the middles, your string piecing, everything you love! So I am thinking I would name it something with your name included in the title.
Have fun in South Carolina! How I wish I could be at your workshop, but I could not get out of work.......
Sally in SC
Whirlygig! With the texture from the quilting and the way the string blocks appear to twist my first thought was of a bunch of whirligigs spinning in the wind. Looks like I'm going to be doing some string piecing in the not too distant future.
Starstruck -- thats what came to mind first.
Beautiful quilt.

It reminds me of gemstones. So maybe Aquamarine or Crystals and Diamonds
I immediately thought of Kaleidoscope Stars. You are spot on. Looking at this quilt makes me smile!
Color wave stars. Hopefully one of us will help in your name search!

When I read, "I look at the texture of the quilting on top of all those little bits of memories and I feel happy!", immediately my mind said Starstruck.

Strung Along Crumb Stars is my two cents. Have a great trip!
I would name the quilt Supernova. The string stars and background quilting appear to be exploding into string blocks. Beautiful quilt!

Since the voice of this quilt hasn't sung out yet, how about "A New Song" for its name?
Instantly thought of Starbright.
Kim Orosz
kaorosz@sbcglobal.net
I agree with Eva; the word "Happy" should be in there. Happy Days . . . Happy Dance . . . Happy Feet??
How about Crumbles or Crumbley Stars.
Memory Stars comes to mind as when I am piecing from fabrics in the stash the memories come back from where the pieces originated...
Looks like a "Kaleidoscope Galaxy" to me! I love the aqua accent around the blocks.
wow Beautiful all the above names are great this is what I thought of when I saw it My stars of many Colors, now I am singing Dolly pardons song my coat of many colors...always loved that song. twrow@wispernet.ca
Star Light Star Bright
Star Light Star Bright
Sparkling memories... or Twinkling memories. All those scraps have so many memories attached. It is a beautiful quilt and I want to make one like it!
Forgive me if this has been said already, and if you already have a quilt named this... but the first thing I thought of when I saw it was that it reminded me of looking through a kaleidoscope when I was little :D So I vote for Kaleidoscope.. Have a great day!

String along stars...... my contribution. ♡
Well, you used everything but "the Kitchen Sink", soooooo... :D Chris Gray Augusta GA chrissybluebird@hotmail.com
When I read how this quilt makes you feel, I thought, Well, of course, it's name shall be HAPPY! (In all caps and with the exclamation point) After all, you said it loud and clear. But I'd cast a vote in favor of either Starbright or Supernova Stars as well.
Star Burst was the first that entered my mind when I saw the finished quilt. Truly beautiful.
Neta
I can't name my own quilts so I have no idea why I'm chiming in...
Hot Mess is what I pick.
It's one of those slang terms my kids are always saying.
I vote for Sea Stars for your quilt. Each star is surrounded by aqua.
Stars Over Naperville
My suggestion for a name qof th quilt would be "Stars in the crosswinds"
Aquamarine Beauty
What about Stringles
My choice of names is "The Night has a Thousand Eyes". Or maybe change the " eyes" to "I's"..... Can't make your workshop but I'll see you at guild meeting Monday night.
Connie W from WNC
You said it--"Wonderful Mess"!
It is lovely.
Swinging on a star, comes to mind but I'm sure I'm not the first with this suggestion.

I like Eva's comment (#9), Happy Stars!
After reading your post about how happy you feel when you see this quilt, the one name that came to my mind was "Happy Stars.
Terry
How about "swimming stars"? Due to the quilting it's like you see them just submerged, that ripple effect.
Well, you started someting soliciting for a name ;-),
H.
Star Shards is my suggested name for this quilt. The shards of fabric in the strings made me think of shattered glass. I already made the Midnight Flight so I won't be coming to Chicago.
Wish you were making something Different there so I could come stay with my friend in Shaumburg and go to the Chicago show again. It was so fun last year!
Another beautiful scrap quilt! I would name it "A Star Is Born"
Happy Go Lucky!
Tammy (morrowrj at telus dot net)
Stars in the Cabin. I know they are string blocks but at first glance it looked like a star block on top of a log cabin block. I also like the previously suggested "Star Shards".
Spangles ?
Star Reflections/Star Plateaus (the stripped blocks make it looks like they are reflecting depth in a beveled mirror or depending how you look at those blocks, they could be holding the star blocks up on a plateau). Extra thoughts .... Scrap Happy! Scrap Happy Stars! or Happy Down Time! Happy Home Time!

Peruvian Stars, Love this quilt! Your so inspiring!
Bonnie----I love the names you choose for your quilts....what pops out at me in this quilt is the beautiful shade of light
aqua and of course, the stars. This is a very soothing quilt to me....reflects comfort. Those are things I would consider
when naming. How about Stringed Stars on Ice?
Such a pretty quilt with memories attached to each piece. Love the aqua. My suggestion is Happy Memories
Thank you for this years mystery. I am working my way along enjoying each moment.

Bonnie, I think "Heavenly Stars" would be a nice name for this quilt since they shine brightly and are so full of love..and would protect and circle the one sleeping under them. Thanks for all you do!
Well you use the word radiating in your description. So I might would call it "Radiating Stars".
Have a great weekend.
Happy Stars is a great name for that quilt. Pretty! and they make me smile.
I would call it, "Strung Out Stars". It is a very happy quilt. Janice k4squilt@zoominternet.net
Happily Starlit
Happy Memories because it evokes different memories depending on what fabrics each quilter uses.
Isn't that the same aqua from your mother's(MIL's?) stash that you used for the sashing? maybe you could name it after her! I love this quilt!
Confetti Stars
Bleu en pointe?
How about naming it "Starring Bonnie" to piggy back on someone's comment earlier about using your name in a quilt that you designed. This quilt totally reflects the things you love so much in quilts and the things we love about you and your quilts so much. Thanks Bonnie for all of your giving and sharing with us.
I don't have a reason for the name, but Serenade is what I would choose.
Tickled by turquoise
I really like this one and can't wait for the pattern. I think you already named it in your post. "Mess of Scraps"
StarShine Thanks Bonnie for all your inspiration and help!
how about
Stars on a string
Glass shards
Joyful! Because it makes you happy.
Carnival Star, with all the twisting and turning it reminds me of Ferris wheels and lights going off when you win a game and all the fun and excitement of a carnival
the STAR WARS movies are popular right now. " May the star force be with you!" HA!
Spaghetti Stars!!!!!!!!!!
I thought of 'Blue Diamonds' as soon as I saw it
I would call it Bits and Pieces!
I would call it "Happiness Overload" or better, just "Happiness!"
Sadie's Symphony.
String of Stars

My first impression was El Nino, the sashing reminded me of the ocean and the scrappy blocks reminded me of how this weather pattern can create havoc in our weather. But really I think it sounds kind of romantic and mysterious.
Over 100 suggestions, you should be able to pick a great one. I thought Memory Stars but so did someone else. Anyway I love it! Way to go, Bonnie!
I like the suggestion "Serenade". It prompted me to look up the musical term for happy, which is "Felice". Carolyn, robbies77@internode.on.net
Oh crumbs, I see stars..anniebee0307@yahoo.co.uk
My first thought was 'Starburst'! Congratulations, Another beautiful quilt Bonnie!

Because it was finished around the New Year celebration, I am suggesting TIMES SQUARE STARS!!!!!!!
"Stained Glass Stars" .... this looks like my worktable when I am working in stained glass -- colorful shards and bits everywhere.
Kar
Love the crumb-pieced centers of the stars. Would call it Nebula [or Nebula Star] b/c it reminds me of the 'birth' of stars & the rainbow splash of colors as seen with infrared lens of the Hummel telescope. Super duper!! Have fun in S.C.! Can't wait to see you again this February, in So California. YIPPEE SKIPPEE... so excited to be in your workshop.
Hugs,

I just love this happy quilt. Is this one going to be in your new book? I hope so as I really want to make it. It just makes my heart sing.... .how about that as a name? My heart sings :)
Andrea in New Zealand
I guess I have a simple mind, I would just call it Scrappy Stars. Have a great day! Gretchen villacrestfarm@gmail.com
Glacier Stars. The edging around each star made me think this. So pretty
Kaleidoscope String Galaxy...since that's that is what it looks like. Have a great trip.
"Color in the Universe"
Stars and Strings
Maybe it's where I live but it's screaming Cinco de Mayo or PiƱata to me!
Scrappy happy stars
I would call it Crumbly Stars
I would go with "Soften & Happy" that will remind you of your word for 2016 and how the quilt makes you feel.
Stars at dusk
Color Me Happy?
"Star Gazer" since can't stop looking at the quilt. Very lovely.
Radiance or Radiant Star. First thing that came to mind. :)
Colleen
How about Big Bang Theory!? The stars and the rest of the quilt just burst into something beautiful, out of "nothing" (scraps :) ).
I'd call it "Carousel" It seems to go round and round with fun colors.
Feliz Fiesta or Feliz Estrellas for Happy Stars
Feliz Fiesta or Feliz Estrellas for Happy Stars
The quilting makes the stars appear to be spinning in the photo. Not sure if you see that when actually looking at the quilt. So name it Spinning Stars, or Rotating, or Twirling Stars. Love the Laura Ingalls Wilder quote. Can't tell you how many times I've read all her books, since the first time in 3rd grade!
Is it going to be available as a pattern soon???
Scrap Happy Stars.
Charlotte Taylor cdtaylor81154@gmail.com
Yes, name it Nada
I am no help with the naming, I am trying to think of a name...but all I can think of is Starry starry night, flaming flowers that brightly blaze...
I see that someone has already mentioned this, but STARS GALORE is my choice.
You said it: A Wonderful Mess
CATCH THE RAYS
IOTA STARS (iota-extremely small pieces )
