Yahoo! It’s a Give-Away Deluxe!

novdec1
I came home from Missouri to a HUGE pile of mail!

Now it’s usually a pretty big pile after being gone 2 weeks, but this time it was bigger than most --

And I was just THRILLED when I realized that the large white envelope at the bottom of the pile had the QUILTMAKER logo on it!

It’s here!

The Nov/Dec 2015 issue that I’ve been waiting for is here!

There is a very special quilt in this issue that is just perfect for the holidays, and a great way to dig into those holiday fabrics of Christmas Past and let them come out to play.

And this quilt is so easy that you will have no problem getting this one done and bound before St Nick comes down YOUR chimney!

 20150929_184638

The Nov/Dec 2015 issue!

Included are 12 bonus blocks, all in red white and blue!

Great for Quilts of Valor!

20150929_181821

And the pattern for Jingle Bell Square!

20150929_182412

The quilt is here at home with me too!

It also arrived while I was gone to Missouri.

20150929_182418

Oh are there some definite blasts from Christmas Past in here!

We got married in August of 1981.  And we were soon informed that my in-laws would be coming up to spend the holidays with US our very first Christmas.  OH BOY!

I ran straight out to the local House of Fabrics ((as it was called at that time)) and bought 3 Christmas fabrics..the SAME PRINT in three color ways.  ((What was I THINKING!?))

White on Green, White on Red, and Red on White.  I made a table cloth, matching napkins, and a stuffed Christmas tree as holiday décor.  It was fairly hideous..LOL!!

I think it was that moment that I realized that I just could NEVER NEVER NEVER use the same print in more than one color way in the same project ever again.  The start of my aversion to sewing with whole fabric lines began that Christmas!

Some of those fabrics are found in this quilt.  And Christmas fabrics that have found their way into my stash since then.  And other greens and reds and neutrals that played together well joined the mix.

I’m going to draw one lucky winner for this issue, and to sweeten the deal I am adding some other goodies!

These are thanks to the folks at my publishing house: C&T Publishing!

20150929_181625

Timtex heavy interfacing!
Fast 2 Fuse Interfacing –fusible on BOTH sides!
Fast 2 fuse interfacing-light!
Fast 2 Fuse interfacing-Heavy!
Fast 2 clean- Mini Microfiber Static Cling Cleaners!

If you like to make bags, purses, wallets, fiber art bowls, or any craft that needs a bit of body – these are great products!  And even better, each of these interfacing craft packs comes WITH a free project included!

Our winner will receive ALL of the above plus the Nov/Dec issue of Quiltmaker.

Just leave me a comment in the comments section below.  ON THIS POST ONLY.  Not in email, not in the guest book, not in facebook or instagram.  HERE.  ON THIS POST.

Remember to leave your email address in your comment.  Spam-o-phobics can write it out like this: suzyquilter (at) quiltme.com

If you are signing as anonymous please leave your NAME as well as your email address.

If I draw you and you didn't leave an address, I'll be drawing for someone else.

You might find it best to be on a REAL computer in order to comment.  It might not work through facebook or through blog reader services.  When in doubt, open a new browser reader to come directly to my page.

I’ll be drawing for our winner on Friday evening in my Quilt-Cam post, 9pm Eastern!

Good luck, everyone!

I would love to win this package. One of my first quilts was a mystery quilt and the advice was to use a variety of reds. The design was a pieced Red and green sashing around open white squares. Well I had a few reds, but they just didn't seem to be the same red so I used all pin dot red. And then used all green pin dot. And of course the white was all the same. UGH.. it would have been so much better scrappy. The top is finished and has hung neatly on a hanger in the closet for years. I haven't given up on it because it's surprisingly well done considering my piecing skills at the time. Every once in a while I think I might spice it up with some scrappy applique in those white spaces. kkfalvey@gmail.com

Great prize package - I've been thinking to try some of those fusibles and see how they work on tote bags -- Saw the magazine pattern last week and it does look like a good one -- I have a whole tote of xmas fabric that just never seems right (ugly) and maybe I need to cut it up smaller!! thanks - cherylrandleman4@gmail.com
