I came home from Missouri to a HUGE pile of mail!
Now it’s usually a pretty big pile after being gone 2 weeks, but this time it was bigger than most --
And I was just THRILLED when I realized that the large white envelope at the bottom of the pile had the QUILTMAKER logo on it!
It’s here!
The Nov/Dec 2015 issue that I’ve been waiting for is here!
There is a very special quilt in this issue that is just perfect for the holidays, and a great way to dig into those holiday fabrics of Christmas Past and let them come out to play.
And this quilt is so easy that you will have no problem getting this one done and bound before St Nick comes down YOUR chimney!
The Nov/Dec 2015 issue!
Included are 12 bonus blocks, all in red white and blue!
Great for Quilts of Valor!
And the pattern for Jingle Bell Square!
The quilt is here at home with me too!
It also arrived while I was gone to Missouri.
Oh are there some definite blasts from Christmas Past in here!
We got married in August of 1981. And we were soon informed that my in-laws would be coming up to spend the holidays with US our very first Christmas. OH BOY!
I ran straight out to the local House of Fabrics ((as it was called at that time)) and bought 3 Christmas fabrics..the SAME PRINT in three color ways. ((What was I THINKING!?))
White on Green, White on Red, and Red on White. I made a table cloth, matching napkins, and a stuffed Christmas tree as holiday décor. It was fairly hideous..LOL!!
I think it was that moment that I realized that I just could NEVER NEVER NEVER use the same print in more than one color way in the same project ever again. The start of my aversion to sewing with whole fabric lines began that Christmas!
Some of those fabrics are found in this quilt. And Christmas fabrics that have found their way into my stash since then. And other greens and reds and neutrals that played together well joined the mix.
I’m going to draw one lucky winner for this issue, and to sweeten the deal I am adding some other goodies!
These are thanks to the folks at my publishing house: C&T Publishing!
Timtex heavy interfacing!
Fast 2 Fuse Interfacing –fusible on BOTH sides!
Fast 2 fuse interfacing-light!
Fast 2 Fuse interfacing-Heavy!
Fast 2 clean- Mini Microfiber Static Cling Cleaners!
If you like to make bags, purses, wallets, fiber art bowls, or any craft that needs a bit of body – these are great products! And even better, each of these interfacing craft packs comes WITH a free project included!
Our winner will receive ALL of the above plus the Nov/Dec issue of Quiltmaker.

Love all your quilts, participated in my first mystery quilt last year and had a blast. Thank You!
Lorie.kohn@gmail.com
Love your story of the first Christmas! Ha! I did the same and I still have fabrics! I "tried" to do a rolled hem on the napkins without really knowing how to do it. The fabric was a 'sale' fabric that pretty much fell apart in the wash! I still have some of that fabric around and laugh every time I see it! Too sentimental to throw it out! It reminds me to really know about the fabric I buy. Sometimes a 'deal' in the big scheme of things is not a deal! Thanks for the memories! Margo - onlydiamonds[at]hotmail.com
You make quilting extra fun. Thanks for sharing your Christmas fabric story. Hope I win the lovely prize.
