Family is slowly rising ---
Sadie and I have already been for a nice long walk --
Yesterday’s rain has passed on through and left us with sunshine and low hanging fog this morning – SO beautiful!
The fog view changes every few minutes – it’s a moving, living entity ---clinging to the ridges and crevaces as the morning sun threatens to burn it off.
I love my mountains!
Jason arrived last evening, and Jeff will arrive this morning – he was too tired after getting off work last evening to make a night drive up the mountain, and that’s just fine.
He’s on his way and should be here soon.
You will most likely find me in the kitchen for most of today – I’m so excited! 10 for Thanksgiving!
Along with the 5 of us, we are being joined by our friends Mona & Rick, their daughter Caitlin and her hubby Clint, and one of Caitlin’s friends who is in the military at Cam Lejeune has joined our ranks.
The cabin will be FULL of Food, Family & Friends!
Yesterday’s chair sewing:
Hexie Section Added!
Yesterday’s movie fest included Gone with the Wind, one of my all time favorites – and I was able to finish adding the satellite to the mother ship!
I finished the binding, hanging sleeve and label for THIS one!
Not able to share this quilt yet, I’ll be teaching it in Plano, TX as a mystery at Fabric Fanatics over New Years, but it will appear in Quiltmaker Magazine as a featured quilt pattern this spring, so stay tuned!
Next up on the stitching docket –Finished the binding on Floribunda – I didn’t even remember that it was not quite done until I pulled it out of the closet the other day in search of something else. Ooops! It had one side left to finish, and the hanging sleeve and label need to be stitched down. I started working on that last night, and will probably finish that one up today.
That leaves ONE QUILT LEFT to bind this Thanksgiving week ----I’m making good progress!
View from the front porch ---
Less than 24 hours to go!
I want to extend my wishes to you for a wonderful warm and memorable holiday weekend with your family, friends, and loved ones!
I’ll catch you tomorrow morning, right bright and early!

A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Bonnie. I do love it when you show us the scenery at the cabin, looks beautiful, better than the white stuff that comes down here in Orillia, Ontario.

To all my quilting friends on Bonnie's Quiltville: Happy Thanksgiving. I am feeling especially thankful today. And also a special greeting to the one and only Bonnie Hunter who makes so much possible!
Give your Marine guest an extra hug of thanks from me! I so appreciate our military men and women and the sacrifices they make by being away from home over the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and friends. We have just returned from dinner out. I'm getting too old to do the full dinner anymore so my son, daughter in law and grandkids went for a feast and what a feast it was. A buffet with everything!!! I miss those mountains from my years of living in Hickory. Thank you Bonnie for enriching so many lives!!! Hugs

Isn't it a great feeling to get these quilting projects completely finished, to be surrounded by those we love, and in a place where our hearts are happy. I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving
Hi dear Bonnie & family!
I love the views from your "Log Cabin" you show + the walks with Sadie!
Yes, our home will be also full of family this coming Sunday as I turn 59 and my hubby will be 64, in 5 days. I have invited his daughters(he is a widower), +OUR lovely grandchildren. After 4 years of marriage I'm still encouraging to make 2 families into one, not an easy task so far with 1 resisting-but I'm getting there- THAT will be my Thanksgiving-something I wish we had here. Be grateful for extended family <3 Hugs I do DMIRE YOU- mARIETTA IN Brisbane, Marietta
Hi Bonnie...I just love the backing on that quilt and the way you made the label fit into the corner. Such good ideas always in your posts. I hope your Thanksgiving was a wonderful time. I want to start the New Year off on the right foot and get to those projects I have done ...but not " finished" I always end up seeing another " one I have to do" and don't get my finishes done. Time to put the brakes on any new projects And get at those finishes I'm always saying on my blog, Margs Primitive Quilts" that I will show when " finished" :)
Anyone else have this " problem?"
Have a wonderful week end.
Hugs Marg.
