Good Morning, Arizona!

I am one time-zone confused girl!

The airports yesterday were a mad house.

Flights were cancelled, passengers were rerouted and shuffled ---

And I can’t tell you if it was colder in Dallas or in Atlanta ---but I have never had such frozen feet on a flight, and I had wool socks and my New Balance hiking runners on!  I was never so glad to touch down in Arizona and know that my feet would soon return back to normal temps!

Last night was for relaxation.  A cozy dinner with my dad – a short drive out to Sun Lakes, some talking some laughter – and 2 hours of Downton Abbey that dad had DVR’d and saved just for me!

And then I slept like a zombie.

And when I opened my eyes this morning, the palest pink light was coming through the window ---and out I went to capture the beginnings of a beautiful day:

Good Morning, Sunshine!

What do you have in store for me today?

I’m actually spending part of today deep in re-edits coming from my editor for the next book release.  We are down to the wire and I am grateful for my Dad’s quiet little place in a lovely little retirement neighborhood where I can sit at his dining room table and do my stuff in the company of family.

We’ve got a family dinner tonight when Mark gets off from work ---and we will make our plans from there.

I’ve got today and tomorrow with them, and I’ll head home to North Carolina on Thursday!

Oh – and I know there will be more of this:

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

We ordered up some beautiful weather, just for you. Wishing you a warm, sweet visit with your family. I'll think of you as I work on my Celtic Solstice tonight (starting Step 3), and send healing hugs to your brother.

Welcome to Arizona! I am a native, but have lived all over (Air Force brat!), and always return home - this time of year is one of the many reasons! LOL!! I gave away all extreme cold weather gear when I left New Mexico and came back home for good! Enjoy our weather and your visit with your family.

I got an all in 1 desk top for my sewing room for Christmas, mostly so I could watch you while I sew! I've been amazed how much more I'm getting done with "company"! Catching up on the archived quilt cam's. Chris

Welcome to AZ. I don't know what time you took the photo this morning, but when I drove to work at 7:00, the sun was just coming up and it was a red sky. Couldn't help but think of the old saying, "Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning." Not that anyone was sailing that early this morning! Have fun with your family!

I think the weather at home will be good by Thursday for you. At least the airlines should be flying. Safe travels. Eileen in Maryland
