Quilt-Cam 12/28/2013

wonkywishes 004
Here we go again – New programs, new web cams, new frustrations, but we will learn it one way or another!

This webcam is a LOWER end one, so hopefully it will be LESS technical and allow the camera to focus on ALL of the screen, not just the item closest to the screen, blurring out what is in the background..namely..ME!

We can hope...can't we?

I'm working on Wonky Wishes blocks made from Maverick Stars!

Today I've got out the Electrohygiene machine...I felt in the need for green!

And I just made a silly rhyme :)

wonkywishes 005

Let's see if we can get this going shall we?

Click the arrow on the screen to start the feed below!

Ooops!  Laptop unplugged!  Give me 5 minutes and I"ll start another feed!

Hi Bonnie, how did you know I have 100 projects going? HaHa. Not quite that many but I like your idea of taking inventory and narrowing that down and prioritizing what I will finish. Happy New Year!

Lissa said...

Women after my own heart... I never have more than a couple projects going on. I would go NUTS if I had 114!!!

Hi Bonnie and Happy New Year from my 'sewdio' in frosty Central Alberta. Outside my window the cedar wax-wings are having a party with the berries on my Mountain Ash and ornamental fruit trees. Indoors, I'm working on an art piece for the 2014 Studio Art Quilt Associates' Trunk Show. Love watching you work while I work. :-)

Hi Bonnie, Thank you SEW much for the idea of the storage containers for all of our little itty bitty scraps. This block is just perfect for those also. Cindy from eagle Creek, Oregon

Yes! I have company in my sewing room now {{Harry Potter can only be my buddy for so long}}
Kids are outside enjoying the heatwave up here in Wisconsin; DH is working... and I've been in my sewing room since 6AM (7 hours ago).
I have been back-sewing clues 1-4 to GO KING on CS (new bed being delivered on Jan. 7th).... and I dare say I will be 100% up-to-date by the end of my sewing day.

Happy Saturday Bonnie! Yipee ! Quilt Cam! Sitting here with you today sewing Arkansas Crossings blocks on my favorite Singer 301A...Happy New Year!

Hi Bonnie!

It's Nancy in Guelph (yes, you pronounce it right!). I'm putting the last seam in this week's Celtic Solstice blocks.

I also do inventory every year end - - this year I sent two quilt tops to my sister to finish (she likes to hand quilt - hates to piece), donated three tops to a quilt guild for their charity projects, and donated another five to my old quilting group to finish for chemo quilts for a local hospital.

I'm a terrible finisher! :)

I am cutting squares for a baby quilt to use as a leader/ender. My goal for the year - finish everything I start!

Working on: BORING BINDING
Goal for 2014: NO NEW FABRIC! ROTFL That resolution never makes it to the end of the year. So I'm putting it out there for everyone to witness.

Hi, Bonnie. I'm working on a quilt by Darlene Zimmerman called Cotton Candy. I have found through the years it is called many names. It is simple and relatively fast. Decided at my Book Club meeting in December (there are 4 of us) I wanted to make them quilts for next Christmas. Made one on Christmas night. This is second one. Goal is to have them ready for the quilter by next Wed. YEA!

Unknown said...

I am working on your Star Gazing pattern from your Shirttails books that my daughter got me for Christmas. I will try and send a picture later....I can't figure out how to add a picture to this. Have a great trip to Texas!! My goal this year is to finish more quilts that have been started in years passed! Marie from Florida!

I'm working on CS parts 4 and 5 while my daughter paints on canvases she received for Xmas. Glad to have you join us for our crafting afternoon. Shanon and Nicole from Ohio

Swinging my kettlebells and doing Turkish Get Up's here in Australia this morning while watching you work. Goals - yes.....New Years Resolutions - nope. I read somewhere yesterday that only about 8% of New Years Resolutions are ever successful. Enjoying Celtic Solstice and hoping to finish the cutting of clue 5 today.

I decided today is the day I tackle a big bin of scraps. Out came the portable ironing board, iron and Go! cutter. Soon I'll have all kinds of new strips to add to the collections.

I just received a screen that says we will be right back.

Hi Bonnie. With the holidays, I couldn't start the mystery until this week. I'm cutting out lots and lots of blue pieces for step 1 and saw on fb about quilt cam. What a nice surprise to get to sew with you....or at least I'll cut, you sew. :o) Thank you for this mystery and all you do for quilters. Happy New Year!

Hi Bonnie. Thanks for having Quiltcam today! I'm cutting my pieces for a new quilt called Galaxy by Cozy Quilt Designs. It uses 2 1/2" strips and is real scrappy. With the new cam, your smiling face is coming through nice and "clear" and audio is excellent! Back to cutting! Tammy in Washington State

I have you playing on my iPad while I'm working on the Longarm. I'm all caught up with the mystery steps! Will you be doing a garage sale linky party any time soon? I need to unload some excess projects. LoL

Hi, Bonnie!! No complaints on feed or quality here. Seriously appreciated your continued devotion and effort to Quilt Cam with/for us! :)) I pulled out an old UFO for Charm Packs in French provincial colors and am quite happy to be sewing along with you. Excited to see the progress of others on Celtic Soltice, although I have refrained from starting this year, since I have yet to finish my Easy Street... done in spring colors, so with any luck will grace the bed this year! Enjoy your trip to TX! Tracey

Wish I hadn't tuned in, just reorganized my quilting room and threw away some scraps. Now I know I need to fish them out of the trash, you shame me into it. Ready to start a new quilt, double spinwheels.

I'm working on Sister's Choice blocks for quilts for my 2 sisiters. I decided on Christmas that they need to be made the beginning of 2014. I managed to finish all of my UFO's in 2013 except one. The one is a Dear Jane. I have 100 blocks made so far. My goal for 2014 is to have that finished.

Do they just have C & T Published authors on there, seems that may be the case.
I think it would be M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S to see you on their show. But as Si says on Duck Dynasty….Hey! Jack!……we get to see you on Quilt Cam often….so that makes us Happy Happy Happy!!!!

Hi Bonnie,
I am absolutely loving this year's mystery quilt and I am in no hurry for it to be over with. It's something I look forward to do in between projects. I agree that everyone should have a string, crumb and other type of projects on hand. I like utilizing all these bonuses since I hate to throw things out. Thanks for everything and happy new years!!! Rea of Upstate NY

Sorry Bonnie, but this webcam was more blurry for me...thanks for the New Year idea on resolving to whittle down ufo's. Really, I do not even count. Maybe that would be a good resolution also, haha.

I just finished a baby quilt. I am currently working on a lap quilt I began about 8 years ago in a class. The pattern is "Sugar Snaps". I cut WAY too many squares so my goal for next year is to make some lap quilts or other items with my multitude of squares. :) PS I was born and spent the first 18 years of my life in Eastern NC. :)

Angie said...

Hi Bonnie, but this Webcam is blurry. I've tried both my iPad and my iMac desktop. You were clearer on the other webcam.

So sorry about technical difficulties...just wondering why also that now when I make your feed go to full screen it won't go? No worries... just wondering. Hang in there. It's just nice to hear your voice and listen/watch as I do my own sewing. Thanks for all you do.

I just finished watching Quilt Cam today, and I think I like the old camera better. I miss seeing what you are working on and your lovely old machines! Hopefully, you can find a happy medium where you are in focus and we can see your work.

I don't have 114 projects but have several more than usual. And it's all your fault - LOL! It started with a class in West Monroe (Rectangle Wrangle) and then SQUIRREL! Pineapple Crazy in String Fling. Then SQUIRREL! I had to get started on Wild and Goosey. SQUIRREL! Signed up for classes at Quilt Fest so I've been cutting for them and then one more SQUIRREL - Celtic Solstice. I just want to do them all!
