Today's class with the mountain stars quilt guild is Cathedral stars!
The award for the farthest traveling quilter goes to one of our ladies from Venezuela who is here visiting her daughter –
So far today we have breezed through four patches and half square triangles – blocks are starting to come together!
We've gone over things like chain pressing! Be sure to check out our pressing team ladies in the photos below :-)
We've spun the seams on the backs of our four patches so they will all nest when the blocks come together –
We are learning to use the easy angle ruler, and cheers of hooray can be heard throughout the room when quilters discover that they can cut right, sew right, and there is no need for drawing lines or sliver trimming.
After lunch and our show and tell, we will be learning how fun Star points with the tri recs rulers can be :-)
Much Quilty love from all of us to all of you –

So lovely. I should join a guild. I have yet to make this quilt. Y'all have fun.
great pattern.wonder if I could rework thi s for tactile quilts for visually impaired.
What? No featherweights this class? Nevermind, it looks like you had a great group of gals and had a good day! i'm just jealous because I did buy the tri-recs for SMM but the class was booked solid. Some day I'll use it. It must be just like doing HST's stacked under an EZ Angle, right?
