A friend has requested a baby quilt in shades of gray and lemon yellow (yes,unusual to say the least). She loves chevron fabrics but I haven't found them locally and need to get started on her quilt NOW. I'm considering "making" chevron fabric in a scrap quilt. I have lots of good quality shirt fabric; any suggestions on a pattern? I plan to applique her son's name across the bottom of the quilt as I have done in other baby quilts. Thanks for a suggested pattern.
