Many moons ago, when I first moved to Irmo, South Carolina in 2003--I joined with a very wonderful group of Ladies in not-so-far-away North Augusta, South Carolina for stitching days as often as I could!
I've missed these ladies so much!!
Finding out that today is bee day--I came along with Siobhan to see what is up with the ladies!
I'm working on a binding while Patty stitches her string pieced double wedding ring together by hand! It's been a long term project and so fun to see it grow!!

This is going to be a beautiful quilt! I never thought about a string pieced double wedding ring. I'm so glas I found your site and facebook page. You have opened my eyes to so many different uses and ideas in my quilting. Now to find the time to do just a bit of them.
Awesome use of crumbs! Woohoo! Love it!
I'm so impressed by the string pieced Double Wedding Ring! I'm wondering how she did it; Did she use a foundation?

What a beautiful quilt. Please thank Patty for sharing it with us. I would have never thought of doing something like this. Always wanted to do a double wedding ring. Maybe I'll make a smaller table topper project like this.
I LOVE, almost ADDICTED to teeny scraps and this is so encouraging and affirmative. Thanks Patty for this wonderful creative use of those teeny tiny scraps!

That looks like a great group to spend some time with. Like others here, I'd love some details on how that String Double Wedding Ring was pieced.
I moved to Irmo SC 2004 but moved away in 2011 to a very small rural South Carolina town. Do you still live in Irmo?
