Twelve people for dinner on Christmas day and three of them have never been to my house before ... family of friends who would be alone ... this should be fun! All these adults and only one little person (4 1/2 years old).

Working on clue 5 on my feaatherweight while watching webcam. Also, have christmas music playing in the background. after i finish clue 5 i will start on the binding for "Christmas Mountain Morning"...the Smith Mountain Morning I started at retreat the beginning of November!!
I'll be wrapping presents while watching you sew...It's the only way I can get some "alone time" without the hubby over my shoulder watching me!

I LOVE the mini quilt on the wall above the machine! The churn dash is my favorite of all patterns! it was my Granny Ida's favorite too! Love the wonky design!

Hi Bonnie from snowy-blowy Central Alberta. Bad roads so I didn't get to town to church this morning. My Final Assessment Piece is finished -- big shout out to you and Quilt Cam for keeping me company when I did all the embroidery embellishment. This afternoon I'm putting a sleeve on the wall-hanging I made for my son, and then I'll finish knitting the toe of a sock for my daughter and the pair will be done. Quilt Cam is the *best* way to spend a snowy afternoon!
Carving out some time today to catch up on easy street. I'm cutting now and will be piecing on my new Christmas gift a singer featherweight (thank you Craigslist). Thanks for taking time to encourage us during this busy season.

Is it a problem if I found fabric in my shoe bin that I don't remember purchasing?? It was Kaffe Fassett fat quarters and some super cute charm squares! I guess that means I like my taste in fabric and that I need an intervention.

Hi Bonnie! I am prepping one of my vintage Japanese Singer-clones to give to my sister-in-law for Christmas. Enjoying watching you while I do this project. It is a machine that I have a near-duplicate for, so I am only experiencing minor pangs of remorse at giving this machine away. Ha ha.

Merry Christmas Bonnie! Greetings from chilly Lewisville! Ive been snugged up in my sewing room since Friday sewing Christmas presents and crafting a few ornaments. I also made some pillowcases for the Sandy Hook project. When will the Easy Street instructions disappear?
You talked about using a machine in a treadle, but how about putting a handcrank on a machine? I have a nice red-eye singer, but the wiring was shot so we cut it off. It still has a motor but I don't know if it works. I use it as a "decor" item.
Would you recommend putting a handcrank on it? Is is hard to do or hard to operate?
Bonnie, I'm so glad your having quilt cam today! I had just finished quilting the last boarder on the last Christmas quilt (just needed binding) flipped it over to inspect and..... a couple pins had came out and I sewed the extra backing on top of itself :/ At least I get to watch quilt cam while I rip out that section of quilting :)

I'm just putting the rows together on my first totally scrappy quilt. - your Bricks & Stepping Stones pattern - and it's gorgeous! Channuka ended last weekend, so this week off work it total play time for me. (By the way, we ended up with the same problem and the solution when our new fridge failed to fit in our new house. Santa came early for my 4 year old granddaughter, a friend gave me her Mother's new sewing machine. I plan on teaching my granddaughter how to sew by hand turning the wheel on my feather weight like I was taught to sew and then when she hang of it she can use power. I'm looking forward in passing on the tradition of sewing, but not the fabric hoarding part, lol.
I had to turn quilt cam up today as the pugs have their sweaters on and are snoring up a storm, I have 4 pugs. But sound and picture are great here once I turned it up.

Merry Christmas Bonnie! It's 6am on Christmas Eve in Queensland. I'm sewing down the binding on a quilt for my granddaughter for tomorrow - nearly finished. I didn't get that Featherweight on eBay in the end as I wasn't 100% sure she should come and live with me, but I'm still looking for the machine that says 'BUY ME NOW' (thank you for your advice and insights on vintage machines). I do have an old Chinese or Japanese Singer lookalike handcrank that works and would be fun to make a quilt on. I should dig her out and give it a go!

I love your crumb blocks. I have made way to many of them and taught some other friends. Amazing how many people cannot or will not actually do them as they are way to free form and not matchy.
