iPhone-o-Gram! Quilt Block City, WV!

I've crossed from Kentucky into West Virginia!

I needed a rest break and a gas tank refill for the van and a chance to stretch my legs.

Turns out I'm in Huntington WV which boasts a whole section of antique stores but of course they are closed on Sunday.

It's still a great walk-about opportunity! And look at the quilt blocks painted on buildings!!

Heading back out on the road now but glad I got off the interstate for a bit of a wander. I might have missed the smiles these buildings brought to my face and to my heart & soul!

I hit the car brakes everytime I see a quilt block painted on a barn, building, etc. Always makes me smile and I "quiz" myself to see if I know what the block is. If I don't I'll either make a mental note or a quick sketch and then check with I get a chance. A little game I play with myself. I would love to have DH paint a block on the side of an outbuilding ... might have to work on that ... the quandry is WHICH block to put up there??

Thanks for sharing the photos of the quilt blocks (and other photos from your travels). There are no quilt blocks on buildings or antique stores in the town I currently live in on an island (yes, in the USA) so I delight in your adventures! I'm surprised the antique stores are closed on Sunday which you've mentioned before.

Anyone know how to get my photo to appear instead of the black thing?

Awwwww...I'm about 40 minutes from Huntington, WV, just across the border in KY. They do have some wonderful Antique stores there. I also enjoy the quilt blocks on their buildings. Have a safe trip back home.

My husband goes to Huntington, WV on business on a regular basis and wouldn't you know it, he has never seen these buildings! Men! They don't appreciate true beauty! LOL!!! So glad you are having a good drive home. Thanks for sharing. :)

Do you have a photo in your personal FB? If not then you need to put one in. That's what I had to do in order to have one.

I've got a photo in Google and it shows in other blogs and on Pinterest, but not here. Such is the mysteries of modern technology to me.
