iPhone-o-Gram! Doctor Appt!
I'm sitting here freezing my tookass off in an exam room at the spine center.
I'm meeting my orthopedics guy for the first time and while I'm hoping we solve this leg and back problem quickly, I'm also thinking about how much I like the plaid of this gown!!

With what that little visit will cost, even just the co-pay, they should probably let you keep the gown. :)
Hey too bad you don't have any handwork with you. You could be adding to your goal of one hour of handwork a day. :) Thinking good thoughts for you to be pain free!!!

As for the gown...maybe you can work a deal...a few gowns for a quilt to pay off the doctor!

I don't know why exam rooms have to be so cold! Sending positive energy your way for a fix for the pain.
Handquilting on a quilt would be good time spent while waiting. It would keep you warm and busy. Keep smiling and hope the appt. goes well and the dr. doesn't want to make a big payment on his Porsche or yacht :-)
Sending hugs and prayers your way.... when they tell you to put the gown in the hamper, slip in your purse instead... lol! or come clean tell them you are the queen of scraps and you just have to have it for your stash!
I was in the men's department at Dillards last week admiring all those new shirts and wondering "when am I going to see some of you fellas at my Goodwill store?"
Ask them what they do with the "old" gowns - you may have just found a new "source" for some great plaids!! And I hope they solve your back/leg/pain problem SOON - you have Quilts to make!! - hehe - ;))
Here's hoping the news you hear today is good. I HATE those cold rooms - there must be an unwritten rule they don't tell us about. As soon as you got all set up to do a little hand sewing would be when the doctor would come waltzing in! I like Diana569's idea of telling them you are the "queen of scraps" and ask for the gown. I bet they would give it to you!
I am excited about spending that hour doing some handwork this evening - still working on the balloon block.

Yes, prayers going up. Hope they give you some good options and successful treatment. A warm quilt would have helped here :-) Hope you get to keep a gown though the fabric may not be cotton.
Hope you have a book with you - that's the only way I can get through a dr appt - in the waiting room, then waiting in the exam room. Time flies a lot faster with a book - or kindle . . .
I hope they find a problem they can actually fix this time! Somebody once told me doctors' exam rooms are cold to kill germs; it always seemed to me they were more likely to kill patients! Here in Houston, you go from 100 degrees outside to 50 degrees inside, and then back to your car, which has turned into a pizza oven.

Back troubles are no fun, especially when the pain also involves the leg too. Hope they come with some answers to get you pain free.
hope you can get some answers or least a game plan. it always seems like a run around, at best you will be sent for a MRI, back to doctor for results and then referred on. i had a appt today also, went to grocery first to pick up a few things.....at check out i ask the time, 2:55p. what? my appt was 3p. i had to reschedule my run around!! hospital gowns and tails, i see another book in your future!
Back & leg pain is just the worst...so aggravating, so persistant!Nagging pain makes me about the grumpiest gal around. My DH tries to help and I just growl. Bonnie, I have to say, you don't seem like the growly type. How do you do it?

Hope your doctor appointment is fruitful and an answer is found to your back issues.........wait - you got a CLOTH gown? I haven't seem anything but paper ones even at my specialists for years and skimpy paper ones at that, the ones that don't quite go around my too ample rump. That's one thing to be grateful for! Your doctor's office is a class act!
Hope all goes well with the doctor. You could have that gown broken down before the door closes all the way.
