iPhone-o-Gram! Aiken to be Quiltin!!

We are having a great time in our Smith Mountain Morning workshop in Aiken, South Carolina!

One of my Bali girls is here, Sharron--and we are loving talking about our memories.

Siobhan of Scraps & Thread Tales blog is also here in class---even though she and her DH are headed out of town on a cruise this afternoon! Yep! We have our priorities!

Hopefully you are finding stitching time somewhere in your day as well!

It is raining. Great day to sew! Wish I was there. I cut out 2 dozen more spools and will work on Orca Bay panels today. The debate is ongoing on lengthening Orca. I don't want to make any more blocks! Someone added a scrappy pieced brick border to their Orca and that looked nice. My daughter wants to intro a new color and that is where I am at an impasse. Then again it is her quilt! LOL.

I AM getting something done! I am finally getting that 1999 quilt done - it was a BOM, and the setting didn't suit the blocks because of the fabric I used, so I had to change it. I will send you a picture of it when I am finished, with the story of how you helped inspire me on how to finish it!

Toasty warm here (but it's a dry heat!!) good day to keep the AC cranked up and sew sew sew! This morning I've been working on a super scrappy Scrappy Trip Around the World, made with individual 2 inch squares to use the results of several swaps I've participated in. My first 3 blocks are up on the design wall. I can see I need to use a different strategy in making my color choices ...
