I can't stand my basement storage room any more! The cheapie plastic shelving units don't hold any weight--
I've wanted these industrial shelves from Sams Club for forever, but always told myself that I don't need them.
Well yes I do! It's rainy and chilly and the Hubster is not playing golf or tennis tonight so guess what he gets to help me put up??
Oh happy storage day!
I have my eye on a corner unit too---but I need to see how these will fit first!
Update---DH showed up and says get the corner unit! We have our work cut out for us!

Looks like the corner unit is on wheels and the other isn't. Odd. Have fun putting them together... I'm sure you'll be happy with this purchase. Looks like lots of storage space with three units and a corner! Sandi
I have them and I love them. Enjoy!
kwiltnkats has better eyesight than I do! If these are like Metro shelves they are super-easy and super-quick to assemble, and you will love them. This is what I have in my studio.
I have 2 of these units, one is on wheels and in my laundry room, with sorting baskets and laundry/cleaning supplies. I had to special order it on Amazon as the ones in the store were to big to fit in the space or too small for a laundry basket.
My other one used to be in my sewing room, in the old house, I plan to put it in the current room also.
You will love your new shelves, I sold my old plastic ones on craigslist for $20 a pop to another quilter who was going to use them for her stash.
Well there you go then. That should help with your business taxes for next year! Tell you what, all of your faithful fans will have to put their heads together to give you more ideas to use!
Plastic shelves are rarely worth the price you paid for them, mainly because one usually ends up buying sturdier shelves. Sigh. Been there, done that.
Hope the new ones work!
Aren't these tax deductions wonderful?!!!

I was at coscos today when someone else had the same idea. I also saw a great table to use for a cutting table.
Bought 2 of these for my daughter's fabric....you will love them.
I've always wanted to insulate the house with fabric. I know we can count on you to update us on your progress. That means photo's.
Good Luck and have fun with Hubby.
I use these shelves for storing my stash & love them. I never have to worry about putting too much weight on them.
I have these in one bedroom holding big totes and boxes of fabric. There are 6 or more in the basement (husband loves them) and two more in the garage. I dont like stacking things on the floor and like the rollers to be able to clean underneath them. Very sturdy too and a good price.
If we had to, we could disassemble them to move.
Happy organizing:-)
Oh, I can't wait to see the end result. I hope you will post the pictures when they are all up and stacked.
Didn't your tax dude/dudette say you needed some more business write-off?
WTG, Miz Bonnie!!!
I agree with everyone else. You'll love these shelves. I've got 4 in my room (2 w/fabric and 2/w other "stuff") I have no idea how many my husband ended up with in the garage....
These are great! I have some, too, and really like them! They hold slot and are easy to move. Enjoy!
Hope they go together easily. Shouldn't they be a business expense for you since quilting, writing books and teaching is your business? Gotta keep those deductions up!! Storing the stash is essential to your business. :) That's what I would tell anyone who asks anyway.
I bought the same units, and have never been happier! Moving this weekend and get a bigger studio, so gotta get more shelves too! Yay!
These are very similar to the Metro brand shelving that is used in food service. I have bought the one's from Sam's and have them on locking casters. I like equipment that can easily move for relocation and cleaning. I keep my jars and canned goods on them. I also have the cart, which is great. We are redoing a couple of rooms in the house, one of which will be a sewing room and I have plans to buy more of these for fabric storage.

I have 9 of them in my storage closets. I bought four from Home Depot that didn't have the wheels included. I bought five from Costco and the wheels were included. I like being able to wheel them out and dust behind them, so I went back to HD and got wheels for all of them. They are wonderful!
My stash is apparently not heavy enough... My plastic shelving is holding up alright... And the price was right, I got it for free!!
Congrats on your new shelving! Looks great!
Hoping for completed pictures of your room.

Please post a pic when you have them up; I've been begging for these shelves for at least 2 years now.
I don't need wheels, just storage.
You busy things... I love ours... and to be honest they are great either with or without wheels. We have food storage on ours... but, they would be wonderful for fabric! Hmmmm, got me to thinking now!
Let the cursing begin(Oh, wait tht is my Honeyman when he is putting ANYTHING together! LOL)
Sounds like the perfect tax deduction to me :-)
Happy organizing! It will feel wonderful!
