Well,it's official. DH accepted the offer presented to him. I feel like I'm living in a daze right now. So much to do. And I don't know how fast it will happen. I guess all I can do is take it one day at a time!
Dang, I'm really going to miss the Goodwill Clearance center and the $1.00 a pound cotton shirts! *LOL* I guess I'll have to stock up before the moving van arrives?
I appreciate those in the Winston-Salem vicinity contacting me with info about the area! I'm looking forward to my first house hunting trip up there.
I'm going to tell work that I will continue as a massage therapist until Jan 1st. Maybe a bit longer depending on how soon we can close on a house, etc. It's going to be difficult to bid my clients fare well!
There are so many mixed emotions going through my heart and my head right now. Yep..one day at a time. I'm going to take it one day at a time!

Oh congrats! And I"m sure you'll find plenty of new friends. Besides you still have the best OLD FRIENDS anyone could want!
Bonnie,
You are on a new adventure that will take you to new people and new things. Change can be hard but I am sure that you will continue to have great relationships with your old friends and make many more new ones. Wishing you all the best as you embark on a new leg of your life's journey.
Regards,
Anna
It's funny when the $1 a pound cotton shirts are high on the list of what you will miss....only a quilter would understand!!! Tracey
Bonnie,
You will be greatly missed in SC, but, you know we have this wonderful meeting place in Gastonia, and anytime you are wanting a SC friend fix, just let us know, and we will meet you there. You know you are always welcome as a guest at guild meetings, and we will look forward to the March meeting, so, even though you are moving, you are still very close.
You'll do fine and have plenty of quilting friends to welcome you to the new area. Last year at about the same time, we were doing what you're doing. Moving during the holidays makes it even more crazy but we survived and you will too. Good luck with it all.
Yep, Judy and I were moving at the same time AND my son was getting married too.
Speaking of sons I know Jeff is only 17, is he a senior this year? Will Jason stay behind? Leaving both my sons in the Atlanta area was the hardest part of the move. Adam had only been out on his own for a year and we offered to move him here and help him get re-established but he chose to stay.
I hated the thought of moving when we came here many years ago. Really balked! But I do believe God leads us and now of course I'm so happy to be where I am. I'm sure you'll find that this next place is just the place you "need" to be. "Home Is Where Your Heart Is" and your dear hubby is where your heart is so you're always home!
Congrats and good luck with all the preparations. I hope there are great things waiting for you in W-S!
Moving sucks, but I bet you're going to find a fabulous house where the floors won't sink under the weight of all that fabric. You'll meet some great friends and love living there. Fingers crossed for you.
Best wishes Bonnie. Just remember, you may be saying goodbye to many people, but they will still be your friends, and you'll make many more new friends in your new home.
I can relate to what you're going through. I know, looking back on moves that I've made that it was all part of God's glorious plan for my life. I'm sending you hugs from your new, future home. It's all going to be just fine! Oh, and that "destination" in Gastonia? It's just a short hop, skip and jump from here! Welcome, Bonnie!!
Bonnie, I know that leaving sometimes feels like "loss", but at heart you know that wherever you go you take home with you. I'm excited because W-S is only a couple of hours east of Boone, where I live, and it means that I might likely be able to find myself in one of your classes one day! Waaaa-hooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Bonnie,
How exciting for you! You know I bet you are going to encouter SO many wonderful opportunities. God is so good. He opens doors that no man can open. I will be praying for you and your family during your move.
Blessings,
Marilyn M
Oh wow, a new adventure. More quilters to meet! And perhaps a bigger and better Goodwill store.
Well, at least the not-knowing part is over. I checked a map and W-S doesn't seem so far away that Ramblin' Bonnie can't drop down to Irmo to see her friends. As always, you will flourish wherever you are, Bonnie--it's who you are.
Best wishes on moving at the already crazy time of year.
love,
jan
Despite the chaos of all this change, at least the agony over not knowing where you're headed has been resolved. One day at a time sounds like a workable plan... but do make sure you take time to breathe every so often. Those folks in Winston-Salem don't know how lucky they are!!
Oh Bonnie, its not fun packing up and moving ! But it is a good way to clean out the corners : )
Too bad you weren't moving back here to Texas !
You never said you'd have to give up the $/lb shirts place - I'd say 'no darling we stay here!' - only kidding, now that everything's decided you can start to crack on with all that needs doing instead of sitting in limbo waiting to see how things turn out - I wish you luck for a smooth event free move and I'm sure that six months down the line you'll look back and wonder what all the fuss was about :o) ((hugs))
Gee, I was just getting ready to write you about doing a quilt for me, but I guess I'll wait till the dust settles on the move! I love moving - always a new adventure - and new places to shop! W-S is bound to have $1/lb shirts somewhere. And if not, that's always a good excuse for a road trip! Looking forward to hearing how each day goes for you during this move and thinking nothing but good thoughts for you!
Oh, Winston-Salem, how nice. Old Salem is so, so gorgeous. I love to make a trip there every once in a while.
