These are the crazy/crumb blocks that I am turning into puss-in-the-corners, but not sure if I want to set them straight, with or without sashings, or on point, with or without sashings, or with alternate blocks. Any ideas? The centers finish at 4.5" because I was using my Dear Jane ruler to square them up with and it is 5" unfinished. I never did use that ruler for anything Dear Jane, but I do like the size of the ruler for string, crumb and crazy blocks! The only thing that came out of yardage is the shirting print I am using for the sashings. The 1.5" cornerstones are all scrap squares I've been flinging into a bin while trimming down other things. Anything smaller than 1.5" square? gets TOSSED! :c

Hi Bonnie, got your email..*VBS* Sooo...the blocks are now 6.5" with the sashing on them?? Right?
What if you were to leave them just the way they are(on point and with sashing) and made 6.5" wonky log cabins, or churn dash or even stars and just stuck them in between the sashed blocks? It would be like a common sashing..with it making the 4.5" big and still looking like a sashing for the 6.5".
I had thought about maybe just a bigger crazy patch, but I think that might be distracting from the littler ones. A 9 patch would be too clunky I think, and something like a fence rail or split fence rail would run into the sashing.
Anything smaller than 1 1/2" gets tossed???? That's huge. You're not tossing it into the garbage, but into another bag to give to a quilter that likes bitty pieces, right?
I like the blocks on point as you have them. Further than that, I'm not help at all. I like the "crumby" quilt so far tho.
