I love it, although, I sure don't need ANOTHER magazine, for one pattern. It doesn't happen to be in one of your books does it, I have them. I am trying to figure out if I can make it to see you in Plano, TX during New Year's. It is about an hour or so from where I live in Fort Worth now. My DD used to live in there, I love that town.
Thanks Sandy- sisgray_71@yahoo.comCentergrannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06112851060426927648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-81870569828860451902012-10-19T20:01:34.462-04:002012-10-19T20:01:34.462-04:00Oh Bonnie, you are making me feel quilty guilty, l...Oh Bonnie, you are making me feel quilty guilty, lol. I have a crazy heart applique quilt that I need to finish before it reaches it's 30th birthday as a flimsie! Is that a record for a UFO? I tend to start too many projects with gusto and then shift into idle. I was doing really well, completing projects when I got laid off in 2008 but now that I'm back working full-time, I just can't seem to accomplish much sewing. This year I decided to finish some that were close, which is kind of what you said. I have finished some! RRCB is done, quilted and bound, Kentucky (Carolina) Christmas is quilted, just needs binding, just in time to put it on my bed for the Christmas season. Orca Bay is still in parts & pieces, but getting ready to pull that one out. I also finished a 4 year old UFO, the blocks were done and just needed assembled. A couple of borders, then basting, and I can give it to my mom for her birthday, November 16 because guess what? She just discovered a love for hand quilting! So I'm giving her the quilt and she can quilt it herself.

I'm still on the fence about your new mystery--will have to wait and see. Using that logic, I should bind the 30s sampler that I just got back from the quilter. I have two BOMs that I've let slide a little. There is one more donation quilt to quilt and bind to finish up my stack of 5 that will be going to the crisis pregnancy center.

Oh my, that's just some of my current projects - I think I need to make a written list! It's always a good idea ...Bonnie, good for you. It's always a good idea to get a handle on what's in progress and what can be finished to reduce the distractions and looming chaos of too many projects. Your plan sounds reasonable, as long as it is loose enough that when inspiration strikes you can sit and stitch to try out your new idea while it's percolating, or it might wander off. Don't stifle any of your wonderful ideas for the sake of order, please. It's ALL progress. Can't wait to see what you're thinking about for those green strings on the treadle!Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14807301075159043773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-30397113316283352592012-10-19T10:28:19.642-04:002012-10-19T10:28:19.642-04:00I like your thinking girl. I'm usually pretty focused when finishing projects before starting new ones, but have fell off the wagon the past 3 mos. & find myself surrounded by multiple projects in piecing, handwork (yo-yos), and machine embroidery and applique. I've even told myself that I am NOT to start the new November mystery until: Carolina Christmas has its borders on and is sent to my long arm quilter, Roll Roll Cotton Boll quilt top is finished and Orca Bay quilt top is finished. I've got all the blocks done but I'm stalled on all those projects. And those are only the mystery quilts! Oh, and I have the fabrics set aside for Texas Tumbleweeds and I think that it will be done before another mystery. And Bow-Dacious leaders and enders. And I have lots of other projects started with various workshops and baby quilts, etc. I'm trying to focus, I really am but then my eyes spot something and before you know it I'm distracted! Guilt ensues and that's never good is it!? Anyway, thanks for the reminder to get the head down and get some of these things finished. Hoping to catch quilt cam tonight and sew along with you. It's 6 pm my time so I'll be home from work and ready to play. :) Mavis in VictoriaMavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17938122053597251186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-54215922094116392272012-10-19T10:16:46.925-04:002012-10-19T10:16:46.925-04:00Like you, I have too many projects going...
