Bonnie I have a method for matching pieces that is as close to purfect as I have ever seen. The I dea is not my own but was not used for matching but for putting appliques in place. You do however, have to buy a tip or fashion one from a bic pencil so you get little glue and you use the washable childrens school glue that washes out.

Press your seam under so you have your straight edge. place the two pieces of fabric together (match them up) then place a small line of glue just under the edge that is on top and press dry. it only takes a second and when done you can place riight sides together by folding the top fabric back on the ajoining fabric and stitch in the pressed seam line. Once the quilt is washed after it is finished the glue is gone and you have a purfect seam as the fabric will not move on you.

Love your blog and books.

Thanks for all your sharing

Avon Avonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13461451477632543353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-83438401509687544542013-05-23T23:34:44.984-04:002013-05-23T23:34:44.984-04:00Sometimes a girl just has to sew. I might have even played with it a bit. Mostly I think I played with the 503 I have down there. I, too love the backing fabric with the corn, houses, etc. Lovely. Sadly, I will miss quilt cam tomorrow, but I know I will get another chance down the road. And I will look it up on YouTube after I get home from work.
I will be working this weekend, as usual. I don't think I called her Sally but I did find other names for her every time I burned my hand on that light. There are times though when I long for the days of sewing on her. We had a large assortment of cams for fancy stitches. Thanks for the memory jogger. Enjoy your long weekend. Have fund at Quilt-Cam tomorrow night. I probably won't be joining you as I'll be out of town and don't know if I'd have internet connectivity. (even if I do, I wouldn't have anything to do except stare at you!) So I'll wait to watch you until I'm back home and working on my project.Andresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15484918090002608336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-41474710730678718822013-05-23T17:21:04.498-04:002013-05-23T17:21:04.498-04:00Looking good there Auntie Bonnie.
