Sew glad you and Mona spent time treadling together. I really like seeing what she is working on too. Inspiration is everywhere. Again, your quotes hit the nail on the head each day! I was trying and trying, and then my Mom, who is 84, was visiting with me, and she sat down and was treadling away like she had done all her life (although she did learn on one). Needless to say, I was envious and proud of her at the same time.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13911304953578303565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-34275168328442896162016-01-19T03:21:47.408-05:002016-01-19T03:21:47.408-05:00Thank you Bonnie for sharing such inspiring inform...Thank you Bonnie for sharing such inspiring information, I have just recently found your blog and look forward to your e-mails. I acquired a beautiful treadle machine from my grandmother when she passed 5 years ago, she pieced on this machine until the day before her passing at 96 years young. I, like quite a few of your readers, would love to learn how to use a treadle, do you think in one of your quilt cams or maybe just a video on how to move your feet, can be on your "TO DO LIST"? Again, thank you for sharing all you do, it is sure enjoyable to watch you and read your posts. Maybe it's the quiet and the rhythm. I sew a lot on a hand crank, too -- great accuracy and no slower than piecing on an electric.Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16352834660023717098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-61280056866763895172016-01-18T16:17:44.404-05:002016-01-18T16:17:44.404-05:00My word of the year Finish, and this is the perfec...My word of the year Finish, and this is the perfect quote to go with my motto. I guess the 2 in my dining room need to get put to work. I am going to post a notice at my guild asking for a "treadle tutor" ! I really want to use them, but don't even know where to begin. You really inspire me. I will keep "big squares" in mind when I get started. (I would so much rather cut my own then waste money on poorly cut pre-cuts. This is a common problem, especially with jelly rolls. I use a "shape cut" and enjoy the cutting). Thanks for your inspiration every day. www.stitchinggrandma.wordpress.com / MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08217530195624004762noreply@blogger.com
