I rectified that with next 20 blocks made over the summer, and generally picked the strongest fabric to be the diagonal in each block. I really enjoy seeing all the bright Scrappy trips blocks as I drift around the web. Thank you for the pattern Bonnie! I love the worldwide spirit of community you have developed through your generosity.Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05534597048533060394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-10032003034408905202013-01-22T20:52:12.091-05:002013-01-22T20:52:12.091-05:00My LQS has a United States Post Office inside, The...My LQS has a United States Post Office inside, The Old Craft Store on the square in Old Downtown Carrollton, Texas. I would go there to shop and buy stamps or send certified mail during the week. Invariably my DH would call to find out why I wasn't in my home office doing the bookkeeping. I could say, very honestly, I was just at the post office, dear.Candicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09519298438369249330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-59570142165489128862013-01-22T16:24:53.657-05:002013-01-22T16:24:53.657-05:00But wait, no one seemed to mention the great name ...But wait, no one seemed to mention the great name of this shop My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe...what a wonderful disguise....Hubster: Where you going today, dear? I grab a blank project sheet, write the name of the block and what sizes to cut. I troop upstairs to the scrap piles (currently on the floor)and start cutting and kitting for upcoming retreats. So, I'm following your advice Bonnie about not cutting it all up until you have a project in mind. Sage advice indeed!!Allison in Planohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05771100777200593936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-63390363151625025102013-01-22T11:43:17.552-05:002013-01-22T11:43:17.552-05:00Ironing scraps and thought--why not--this scrappy ...Ironing scraps and thought--why not--this scrappy trip quilt looks like lotsa fun!! When I looked in the garbage as I tossed another wrapper in, I realized all of those wrappers were mine, and I tried to restrain myself and focus on the sewing. Maybe if I had eaten less chocolate and done more sewing I would have finished 7 blocks instead of six. It will be a project Linus quilt so I only need 12 blocks but I see more than one in my future. Or maybe I'll take it down, scramble the blocks, put it back up and play around some more. I'm wondering if anyone has made one with one constant for the center?
