I have a 22 year old son, and I don't like those words either. My son actually tried this when he was about 14. Some guys look really good with a shaved head. My son looked like he had leukemia or something. Even he didn't like it. So, his hair is pretty short, but not shaved. =)Marcihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00837798938089334872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1149894804393477422006-06-09T19:13:00.000-04:002006-06-09T19:13:00.000-04:00Shaved heads are the big thing right now...it beat...Shaved heads are the big thing right now...it beats when I walked in on my stepson and his buddies giving themselves highlights in our kitchen one afternoon. Picture a 6 foot 200 pound teenager with a plastic cap that has dark brown hair pulled through the little holes sitting at your kitchen table. I very quietly offered my help then went outside to my car so I could let loose laughing!!!
SiobhanYankeeQuilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03324287185970922332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1149868577302714722006-06-09T11:56:00.000-04:002006-06-09T11:56:00.000-04:00Being the mother to three boyz...I've yet come acr...Being the mother to three boyz...I've yet come across something that they won't try to surprise Mom with. As long as their surprises weren't permanent, I pretty much let them do their extremes.
At least you got a phone call! This reminds me of a couple of summers ago. My son has always stood in the background and tried not to draw attn. to himself. At the age of 16 or so, he all of a sudden decided colored hair was the way to go. He had blue, green, red, copper and I forget what all colors of gel he'd use. We were at a restaurant and this lady asked me if that didn't bother me. I told her it was only hair and if that was the worst he was going to put me thru, then who cared? Even mother in law was appalled at his wildly colored "spikes". My dd was my wild child and ds's colored hair was NOTHING compared to what she'd already put us thru! Hair grows back, color washes out(or grows out)..Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10918771130463656861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1149798444331236482006-06-08T16:27:00.000-04:002006-06-08T16:27:00.000-04:00Congrats on the article, it's a nice one!I agree w...Congrats on the article, it's a nice one!

I agree with your other comments, the hair will be a nice switch, it'll probably look very nice at the end of the summer when it grows back.ForestJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05536396154296555583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1149746765421185512006-06-08T02:06:00.000-04:002006-06-08T02:06:00.000-04:00Hi Bonnie! Your quilts are wonderful and definitely inspiring. I'm thinking about trying to organize a sewing day where we can swap scraps. If it happens, I'll send pics.kirstenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11458267354320757761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1149738204654590812006-06-07T23:43:00.000-04:002006-06-07T23:43:00.000-04:00Being the mother of an 18 year old I know the fear...Being the mother of an 18 year old I know the fear those words can strike into your heart. One day he got his sister to take him to the barber and he got it all shaved off. I told him he was lucky that he had a nicely shaped head. In the game of things, not a bad way to stand out or rebel or whatever. Yup, it grew back but never as huge as before.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03812374680645763586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13569819.post-1149701592030887762006-06-07T13:33:00.000-04:002006-06-07T13:33:00.000-04:00My sweetie does this in the summer each year...wel...My sweetie does this in the summer each year...well I do it for him, because hair, sweat, and hard hats don't mix very well. Although I've never seen Adam with a bald head, it is going to be really strange I bet when you see him! I had Adam say something to me I was so happy to hear today... he grumbled to me when I said 'gee your up kind of early today aren't you (it was 9am)' his reply "I HAVE to go to work"!
