October Quilty Box Drawing!

Guess what just happened over here?

I drew (Or should I say REMEMBERED to draw!?) the winner of our October Quilty Box Gift-Away!

The October Quilty Box is curated by none other than Leah Day, someone I love and admire for all of the wonderful fun she is!

If there is a box full of Leah Goodies, I want one!

And full it is.

Just take a look at everything in this awesome box!

Just what will you make with these gorgeous heart medallions?

Matching thread, too!

More fun – make your own notions holder with any wide-mouth mason jar!

Also included are the self-threading needles from Clover, perfect for burying thread tails while machine quilting, and a sample packet of soak for keeping fine fabrics fresh.

Let’s not wait any longer – Who is winning this bundle?

Monica Barber!  This is your box!

Congrats, Monica! I’ve sent you an email. Please get back to me with your mailing address and I’ll be sure the folks at Quilty Box get your prize on its way to you.

What is a Quilty Box?
  • Quilty Box is a monthly subscription box of fun quilting supplies. We offer plans from $44-48/mo.
  • 5% of the profits of multi-month subscriptions are donated to Quilts for Kids - a non-profit which donates quilts for children in need
  • Each month we have 4 or more products (fabric, patterns, thread, or notions)
  • Our retail value of the products in the box is always more than $60
  • Latifah Saafir is November’s box girl!  www.latifahsaafirstudios.com.
  • We will be using the hashtags #QuiltyBox and #GetQuilty
I am all about having 5% going to Quilts for Kids while I get a bunch of quilty goodness to play with in every box!

On the home front:  I managed to make it to nearly 8pm  without a nap, but it’s going to be an early night and hopefully a long sleep as I work my way beyond jetlag status and back to normal!

This came home from China.

I brought home some wonderful tea from Beijing, but reading the box is leaving me in fits of giggles!

Maybe I will flow more clearly tomorrow too?

*Disclaimer*  Not making fun of anyone - I can't speak Chinese at all so bilingual folks are one up on me, but I thought this was funny.

Have a good night, everyone!

  3. That's awesome, some things do really get lost in translation. I think the tea company needs a better marketing person. So glad you had fun, and I really enjoyed seeing your trip. Hugs to your family and DH's for their journey.

  4. I’ll say this for them, they really tried. I hear sincereity in it, but don’t quite follow all the thoughts. Lol. Glad you are home safely. Get some rest.

  5. Bonnie, what kind of tea is that? (and I am really wondering) But, I was struggling to read the label to, thought maybe the picture did not show it all, then read you were laughing at the translation. So, if I can figure out what kind of tea this is, maybe I can have "some flow more clearly tomorrow to" right along with you!! LOL

  9. This mystery has some beautiful colors.

Funny about the instructions on the tea. I remember seeing those signs as well on my trip to China. I saw a story on one of the major networks over the weekend. The reporter was in China covering a story about the Chinese hiring some people to fix the English translations on signs around the country. One example that was shown that I remembered was for a men's room with ADA capability (The sign showed a man in a wheelchair and it said: "Deformed Men's Room). Here is the story if anyone is interested: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/chinese-government-embarrassed-by-poor-english-translations-issues-guidelines/

  10. Well done Bonnie. It is ok to have fun and make a joke without the intention of offending. I like to have fun with the translations written on packages too. I am Australian and to us a thong is something we wear on our feet in summer yet I know you have another meaning for the word and we both speek English.

  11. BREAKUP REHAB ( AWESOME TRUE STORY )

I am Brian Donald and this is my testimony. In September 18th 2017, my girlfriend Maggie called it a quit to our 6 years relationship. it was pathetic, i tried to calm her down but she insisted on breakup because she has met another nice guy in Sydney. the pain was too-much for me to bear, so i went online to look for help then i saw a blog about this powerful spell caster from USA called Dr. Ugo Wonders. i read alot of testimonies about him but i was not too sure if he could help me because i was living in Australia but i decided to give him a try. i emailed him all about my relationship problem and my fear for distance, he assured me not to worry that distance is not a barrier and that the wind blows, so shall my help locate me in 24 hours.i trusted him by his words at once and followed his instructions. Immediately after 24 hours of casting the spell as he instructed me, my girlfriend who left me to be with another man came back home to me and started begging me forgiveness. i was shocked, surprised and amazed and i was like "wow" it worked like a magic. this is the reason i decided to share this my wonderful testimony with the whole world to contact this world classified spell caster called Dr. Ugo for any relationship or breakup issues via his email generalspelltemple@gmail.com or call his mobile number +13863369876 website: http://generalspelltempleblog.wordpress.com
