Good Good Friday evening, everyone!

I’m back just in time from an afternoon of “out and about” to do our little drawing while dinner is on the grill!

There has been some of THIS today!

Another row of Tumbler Leader & Enders are going on to my section…..all pieced in between the lines of other chain piecing. It works! It works! It works!  This quilt has been growing for many months, all without me spending any real time on it.  I want it done by the time our NEXT Leader & Ender challenge starts in July!

This little black beauty received a thorough going over this morning, cleaning, oiling, lubing, new needle, and some tension adjustments and she is sweetly purring right now!  I’m so thrilled to have found her here in the vicinity of the cabin.

This afternoon we took some tie out and drove to Boone, stopping for Mexican for lunch.  An extra unexpected bit of fun – the movie theater was across  the street and we noticed that My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 was starting in 20 minutes.  We took in an impromptu matinee!  How fun!  We NEVER are that spontaneous –and the movie was delightful.

Cabin Block Sighting!

We took some back roads home and I had to stop and take a photo of this cute little cabin off of the blue ridge parkway.  This is Appalachia!  I love these cute little places.  I don’t recognize the quilt block, though – do you?  It’s an interesting one!

Our Family Easter weekend officially starts tonight..or early early tomorrow morning.  Sons Jason and Jeff are both attending a concert in Charlotte tonight. I love that they make plans to do things together.  Jason works tomorrow, but Jeff will head up to the cabin after the concert is done and arrive here in the wee small hours. Not sure if Jason will make it for Easter due to his short time off and his need to be at work the next morning, but we’ll see.  I’ll have one of my chickens home at least!

Have a wonderful Friday evening, everyone!

  1. I'm going to a Sing along with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir via YouTube of Handel's Messiah tonight right here in my hometown of Walla Walla. A great way to start my Easter week-end. Glad you liked the Show. I will have to get some girlfriends to go with me. I loved the 1st one also. Happy Easter!

  4. How intetesting. Looks like a very modern quilt block on an old cabin. Seems I saw a paper foundation pieced star block very similar to the one you spotted. I believe it was something like Spinning Star. Now I'm curious and will have to see if I can find it again.

It looks like four "Starry Path" blocks set together to me.
