ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fabrics and colors. I have 20 young ladies (ages 7-12) who are learning to sew at my house. We are making some lap quilts for Christmas to take to a local nursing home and give each resident one of them. My girls are so excited. This fabric would make such bright and happy lap quilts for these senior-honored residents. Thanks for the chance to win them!!!

ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics! I use ever smaller pieces first. Anything. Quilt, table runner, potholder... I´m going to basting one quilt and the other is a group job.Then I´m ready for another scrappy project.

ReplyDeleteThree in a Box from JayBird Quilts is the next one on my list, and these AWESOME fabrics would be so fabulous. My quilts are scrappy by frugality. I've always wanted to buy a collection of coordinated fabrics to make a planned scrappy masterpiece, but just haven't indulged yet. LOVE the bright colors and modern feel of the designs in this set. What a generous gift! Love the offered pattern too! My to-do list continues to grow.

ReplyDeleteI have been looking at patterns for layer cakes, as I have been gifted a gorgeous one. I have several possibilities, but I would definately have to check out out her pattern if I won this. I am thinking of the pattern of cutting the peices in half, flip and sew triangles on 4 corners, and put them in a zig-zag pattern. The pieces are still big enough to feature the wonderful fabric! beth9253@sbcglobal.net

ReplyDeleteI love this fabric. In fact, I bought a jelly roll of it last week for one of my granddaughter's, but have two granddaughter's. Would love to win this so I can make quilts for both. I would make the free fabric in the free pattern. I just love it. Thank you so much for giving everyone the chance to win this.
ReplyDeleteWho am I kidding? If I won this fabric it would end up in several creations. I'd probably start with a lap quilt of pinwheels with a scrappy border. Orphans go into the "fun squares" bin for scrappy madness quilts (my favorite quilts are made with leftovers). Trimmings that are 2.5" strips go into my scrappy trips bin (which I'm using for leaders and enders), and anything smaller but still usable goes into the strings bin which I use most often for eclectic handbags! Scraps too small for strings get used as stuffing mixed with polyfill for fleece dog beds donated to Chicago's anti-cruelty society animal shelter. Whew! What fun this would be, and what great colors and textures to play with!

I've just started drinking the Hunter Koolaid, so I would probably make some throw pillows for my in-progress, almost done living room. I bought new paint for the accent wall yesterday called 'Funky Fiesta'--a peachy orange/pink that would look wonderful with this fabrics. I hope I win!

ReplyDeleteI haven't started Lazy Sunday yet...I haven't even finished Easy Street yet!!! But I'd use them to jump start Lazy Sunday and perhaps make in a crib quilt size.

ReplyDeleteThis fabric is beautiful. Although I like the Lazy Sunday, and your colors are a match, I think I would just do the pattern that is included. It sets the colors off so nicely. Thanks for the chance.
