Down on the Bayou!

This is a quick post….

Just got a call from the Attorney, they have our papers and we are going to close on the cabin at 3pm!

Which means our last walk through is this morning.

I was sleeping so soundly when The Hubster woke me up and told me to hop up and get going ----YAY!

The Bayou in Monroe is really beautiful…and we had a great view of folks with jet skis pulling kids on innertubes up and down ----

I don’t think you’d find me getting in that water..those snapping turtles can take your toe off!  See them out there on this log?

Love the mossy cypress trees!

Boat docks and boat houses down the other side….

Hot and humid, but so beautiful!

And the food was to die for too!

And for those wondering why Quilt-Cam fell short last night ((We got in 47 minutes)) I knew that laptop was on its last leg…but last night the power cord stopped supplying power and the laptop gave up the ghost.  It won’t take or hold a charge anymore, so I’ll be using the newer laptop from now on.  There just wasn’t time to get it, hook it up, and start a whole new session.

We are OFF to buy a cabin!

  5. The Bayou is so pretty! It is on my list to see more of that state than New Orleans. As for quilt-cam I was a little bummed, it was my first time live for over a month, but then I turned on Pandora and finished those piano key boarders.

Have fun today and this weekend! Deb in Northern IL

  26. Wow, so beautiful, makes your heart sing dosnt it? Congrats on finally getting there, I'm sure you will have many happy years enjoying your new cabin. Here in New Zealand a weekend/ holiday home, especially one on the coast, is called a Bach, pronounced Batch!
Really enjoyed Quilt cam, sewing on my new "babys' , a 99k that was locked up solid until my very patient technician got to work, and a 306 that sews like a dream. Today is Treadle day, fitting a new belt and oiling all the usual spots.
Enjoy your weekend with your family, exploring your new home!
