Me too and I can't decide if I should buy them here or in NC when we move. So are you just replacing the ones you sat on?
My problem is once I take off my glasses and try on frames I can't see myself in the mirror with the new frames on :0(.

Good luck with it and Happy Sewing

After your glasses accident, I took an extra pair on vacation with me. Good thing I did -- my first pair broke.

If you can't be a good example, at least you serve as a horrible warning!

Going for some hipster glasses like the young'uns?

Frugal queen that is exactly what came into my head the phrase " should have gone to specsavers". New glasses ouuucch. Spending money on fabric is much more fun! !!

Glasses are SO expensive ... seriously! I really dread getting new frames because I am SO bad at deciding what shape looks good on me. It's almost like picking out wallpaper ... you look and look and look and ultimately end up with one of the first ones you looked at. I just can't decide on which frame looks best on my face shape. Ironically I have no problem with sunglass frames ... I just get big, bright and wild ones ... never lose 'em that way!

glasses here are expensive too - about £100

I'm not far from new glasses myself. I can't see to thread hand quilting needles! This is a serious problem. We can't do w/o our "eyes". I guess the ones you accidentally sat on didn't stay repaired?

I recycle my frames. I have glasses for my pc and bifocals for the rest of the world. Since i never sweat at work because it is frigit due to 800 computers and air on 60, i get the bifocals in those the next time. Often the girls at work do eye exam at Dr then hoof it to cheapo frames at Wally world.
As for not being able to see how u look, take pix with ur phone

Oh, excellent idea! These phones are so handy, if we just remember to use them for stuff!

Yes, I was going to comment same as above. A eye tech told me that trick. Have them take pictures with the ones you like, then you can put your glasses on to see what you look like! Worked great!

My guess you were in Costco. You mentioned previously that you went there to get your glasses fixed.
Cannot see anything more on your post other than asking where you are today.

Looks like Costco to me!! I need to go look at frames. I'm going to wear my sample contacts this time so I can SEE what I'm doing, but the iPhone photo was a good suggestion too!!

Well, it must be the season! Tonight at quilting, my back-up glasses (broke my good ones this summer) were sitting on the table next to my knitting/quilting bag.....yup, the bag tipped over and crushed them! Actually knocked one of the lenses out. Guess where I'm going in the morning!

I'm with you. I also just squashed my best pair of sunglasses. Just try finding good sunglasses at a decent price in winter. Ugh.
