iPhone-o-gram! We interrupt this blog--

I just went to write tomorrow's blog post and when I turned my laptop on--

Uh. Oh!!

The whole screen is broken. As in ---you can't read anything, it's all hammered!!

Too much travel, too much jostling and who knows how much a laptop can take before the screen goes kaplooey!!

So here I am in Oregon with no laptop until we go into Bend to Best Buy.

You'll just have to deal with iPhone posts until I am back up and running!

In the back of my mind I think this one is still under warranty but I don't know if it covers luggage incidents or not. :-/

On the flip side--maybe more time sewing and less time posting is what this girl needs!

PS--- this view took my breath away!

  1. Take this "interrupted" time and rest, relax and recharge. We will await your "back to regularily scheduled programming" next week.

  2. no problem-o. Take all the time off you need to recharge your batteries with your buddies in Oregon this way. You can play catch-up later.

  3. So sad! I hope the warranty is still good, having to move into a new computer is no fun in any case.

It doesn't have anything to do with the compromised servers that were left with no government support today after the government backing up the servers for a while now does it? It's been in the news the last couple of days and was to have happened Sunday/Monday at midnight. Just a thought.

  6. Contact the airline and file a complaint. If it wasn't broken before the flight, it may be covered. Good luck, and don't worry about the posts. Enjoy your time.

  9. Sorry to hear that you have to deal with a pain in the neck instead of just enjoying yourself like crazy. I hope that warranty, or the airline, helps cover the cost. Also a good reminder to the rest of us to take it easy on our laptops!

  11. Sometimes things go Kaplooey so that we will focus clearly on the things that are working!
There's no time like Sew time Bonnie! Enjoy!

  12. Warranty won't cover something like this. The computer manufacturer would call it abuse. The airline is on the hook for replacing the screen.

  13. Wow...sorry to hear of your misfortune. I would really contact the airline for a damaged luggage claim. It should be covered for the damage, replacement cost. (Janice got here Spring Fling yesterday...aleady gone through once or twice)... enjoy the rest of your travels...

  14. I never ever put my laptop into plane-side storage for fear of just this... got myself a large tote and put my purse and my laptop inside and it never leaves my side. I think the airline employees take great pleasure in torturing our precious possessions!! Poor laptop, and poor featherweight! File a complaint, it may not get you much except a little venting.

  15. Yes the view is wonderful. I love the view of the mountains when coming in on the plane. Sisters is a wonderful and cute town. I hope to see you there on Saturday, I am hopefully going to be able to make it to the quilt show. Hope you have a wonderful time here.

  17. I hope you have success with your claims to the airline. How could they deny you when you have all of us as a witness.... lol
I was reading where everyone is telling you to take some time off from posting - yikes! Am I greedy or what? Just before I read your posts today I was thinking to myself how much I look forward to hearing from you on a regular basis. I always have you on my mind especially when I'm taking apart another shirt of dear hubby's, and thinking how fun it would be to do this with a friend like you.
The weather is hot, hot, hot here and so I don't have much energy to do anything so I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon.... Judy C.
