Star Struck Times Two!

I’ve got a very full slide show to share today --- I put the photos from both classes together ---- and they are all such great blocks.

We met at the North East, PA Senior Center, and as convenience would have it – it was right across the street from my B&B!

The first group had breakfast provided --- and the second group was served a lunch --- and I of course, indulged in BOTH.

I seriously need to back away from the food…..but oh man, have I been spoiled rotten this trip!

Two classes, 24 Quilters each --- that’s 48 quilts being dug into in the span of one day – talk about scraps flying!

This morning my journey home begins, so I’m going to keep this short, post the pics, and get on my way ----

You’ll probably hear from me along my route --- I wonder what adventures are around the corner! I’m thinking of cutting down the center of Virginia, down 29 ----I may make it as far a Charlottesville before stopping for the night – at least that is my goal.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed making the blocks in class!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone --- this girl is headed HOME!

  1. You should hit 29..and before you reach C'Ville, there's a little town called Ruckersville where there area FEW antiquey places I think you may like...have fun and be safe! Also some quilt shops, one in Madison before Ruckersville and one in c'Ville.

  3. I highly recommend the shop (CottonWood) in C'ville...lots of goodies in there. Also if you are on 81 for any length of time stop in Verona, (below Harrisonburg) there is a HUGE Antique Mall there. I was up there last Fri and there was a white FW... but a bit too pricey for me.

  5. If you don't want to go to Quilt Shops you are more than welcome to spend the night with me in Montpelier, VA.

  6. Oh, I want to go with you! 29 runs right by my daughter's house in Lynchburg. Haven't seen her for a year.

  7. Now you're in my neck of the woods. I live in the hamlet of Verona VA. That antique mall is a big temptation for me and I have to pace myself regarding shopping there but it is loads of fun. The WoodGrill in C'ville is a great place to eat and it's 'all you can eat' just remember to go there hungry. And as always, if you find yourself in my community, I have a guest room with sewing machine, too.

    Have a safe trip.

  10. Safe travels Bonnie. My Mom just left this morning headed to Tampa for a visit with my Brother. We had a great time together as usual. We put together her Chunky Churndashes quilt, used your clever string design for a project she's working on (in purples), finished her swap contribution for Crabapple quilt and made a big dent in my contribution. We did a lot of sewing! I showed for the first time my Orca Bay at Canyon Guild along with others finished since when you presented there...which were quite a few...I was one of two members to lecture and provide a Trunk Show. I once lived in Louisa County not too far from Charlottesville. I remember it as being a real quaint town. There is sure to be several nice places to put your head down this evening. Sandi

  13. Wonderful blocks! But hey, what's with the lone bowtie block? Any more info on that pattern?

  14. Love the slideshows! I love seeing all of the color combos - some I really like - some I don't. Saves me a bunch of time deciding on my own colors. I missed the bowtie the first time through - went back and found it - now I need to make me some - EQ7 here I come! ;))
