Help Me Pack!!

This is my route up through NC, into VA, across parts of WV and into Ohio where I’ll be in Fairborn, near Dayton! From there I go up to the tippy top corner of Ohio over to Ashtabula, and then finally into North East ((Yes, there is a town called North East!)) Pennsylvania.

It’s gonna put LOADS of miles on Shamu! But I’m ready…

I’m packing up the car, but I’m still undecided on a couple of things.

I’ve got room for 4 or 5 of the quilts as a preview of String Fling for my trunk shows. I can’t narrow them down. I love them all!

Would you mind helping me out?

Click THIS post, check them over..and come back here and leave me a comment on what you’d like to see up close and personal if you could, okay?

For instance, I am really torn between bringing Orca Bay, or Jamestown Landing?! I want a good variety --- but I can’t take it ALL.

In the mean time – laundry is going, and the suitcase is getting packed and projects are finding their way into the tote bags for evening sewing my hotel…..

Here we go, on the road again!

Bonnie

  1. Ask people to bring their orca bay or Jamestown landing to show since those both have been published or were available before. I'll look at the list and be back :)

  2. Of course, I want to see all of them, but if I had to pick just a few, I would love to see that pineapple quilt and blue skies and wild child!

  3. I'd want to see all of them, but I would feel deprived if you left out Pineapple Crazy!

  17. Charlotte's Baskets, b/c it uses a center motif with triangle corners in each block, nice starting place for any type of fussy cutting or highlighting; also it has sashing as part of the layout
Jamestown Landing, b/c is is a 2-color(ish) quilt
Orca Bay, b/c it was such a successful mystery quilt quilt along, the colors are vibrant, and it incorporates several other smaller units of scraps along with the Stringy Thingies.
Pineapple Crazy, b/c it is the most impressive string quilt EVER in its complexity and color.
Sante Fe String Star, b/c it represents a different type of quilt than the others, and it is kick-*ss!
BTW, if you hit Columbus near lunch, give me a call and I'll direct you to my house. I'm only a half-mile off the freeway, between exits going east. If you planned to stop overnight, you are invited to stay here (and use the studio;-)
