Tile Floor Spotting!

Imagine a group of 14 out for dinner ----

We went to Biaggios ((I think that’s it)) in Davenbport, IA last night for dinner ---some local ladies brought their hubsters, and the rest of us were the traveling out-of-towners here to sew for the weekend ---and there were enough of us that we got a large room all to ourselves! NICE!

The food was delicious, but what was hilarious was how one of us ((ME!)) had to make a beeline to the ladies room ---came back and told the OTHER traveling quilters that they had to go check out the tile floor in said ladies room ----

and the oooohs and ahhhhs that came back with big smiles on faces upon their return FROM the ladies room!

WHERE ARE MY MAGIC MARKERS?!

Yes, I was IN the corner stall ---but I was not sitting --- just so you know…LOL!

Gosh, it doesn’t take much to make me giddy, you know?!

  1. Beautiful floor and the tiles are to die for. But I still like the Mariner's Compass tiles you took a photo of at a store....just saying

  2. Bonnie, my mother has a floor in her entryway like this (original, house is 100 years old). They tiled over their beautiful bathroom floor that was the same. :o( For some reason, I don't think you are crazy at all!!!

  4. Makes me think of all the quilt ideas I have whenever I see a tile pattern that I like! I have a lot of pictures of tile floors that may someday make it into quilts! That, and abstract art :)

  8. Gorgeous floor - I save all of these tile floor photos for my next hexie design session. Hope you don't mind?! We just don't have many around here other than the bathroom in my office building which was built in 1909 as a bank. I have a quilt started in that design :)

  14. the floor reminds me of a pattern in inklingo with 1" or was it 1/2" Hex's. It is a placemat with the hex flowers right around the edge.
I also took cat to vet in to an old part of Melbourne Aust and took photo's of tiled front porches!
